We stayed here on the opening night so we were welcomed on a very amusing way with cupcakes and champagne. The staff was very kind and willing to help us. The rooms are big for London standard and everything you need is in the room.

The rooms are outdated and need to be freshened up. I actually paid for a deluxe room and did not have a window which was a bit disappointing. Especially because the second room was very luxurious.

The location was excellent, and the staff were friendly. Although the hotel underwent renovation, some details remain dated. The size was favorable when compared to rooms in London hotels.

We arrived early for check-in, but the room wasn't ready until 3:30. Our room, located on the lower ground, lacked a view and natural light, which was disappointing. Additionally, there was no plug near the bed.

The location, the staff and the connections to the hotel next door where we were given discount for events etc there.

Staff friendly, great location. Complimentary biscuits and water in the room. Spacious. Good lighting.

Heater made a lot of noise in the room and didn’t seem to do anything. Room could have been cleaner. Could hear noise from other guests, coming from the hallway but otherwise fairly quiet for a central location.

Lovely refreshed hotel, nice modern bathroom and comfy beds. Breakfast was lovely for a reasonable price of £10. Our room was on the side, and quiet despite being very close to Oxford Street

Location is perfect for what we wanted - near Hyde Park. The center of London. We are very satisfied with our stay at the hotel. Being close to Marble Arch was important to us and this was the perfect location! The 2 persons room is nice, the reception staff are very nice. We didn't have any issues with the accommodation or the service. The hotel is quiet, I haven't heard any noises in the corridor or from the next room. This is a subjective opinion because we were going out around 10:30 every day and we going back to the room tired around 11pm and slept very well. The bathroom was huge, the shower room - wide. As a joke, one person could be in the shower, another on the toilet, another doing makeup in front of the mirror at the same time, and there would still be room left. :-) We didn't have breakfast, because I made such a reservation, but as far as I know, breakfast is served at the neighboring hotel, which is very close, across a street. Keep in mind contacts in the UK - 3 pin mains sockets! We had provided ourselves adapters for the chargers, but they didn't fit and we had to buy adapters that are available in stores.

As a recommendation to the hotel, maybe it would be good if they have some adapters available for the guests because we went to buy adapters at 00:00 from a 24 hours shop. The internet in the room was weak, but that's the case with most hotels.

Staff very helpful and extremely friendly at the reception. We stayed 3 nights and were upgraded to a small apartment (traveling alone with my 2 teenagers), nice one with a small kitchen with free biscuits and minibar much appreciated. There was no hairdryer in the room and it was brought within only 5 min when we asked for it.

The fire alarm that went on at 1:15AM whilst sleeping. Having to evacuate in pajamas was not what we expected on our first night but we understood it wasn’t hotel’s fault (someone smoking in a room turned the alarm of the entire building on) - a fun story for my kids to tell their friends!

Size of room and scarcity of natural lighting

The location was great, 2 mins walk to the tube, and main bus links. Perfectly located to explore central london. The staff were friendly and welcoming and the room was spacious and offered everything we needed.

I travelled with my 6 year old who goes to bed by 7pm. I planned to have bath and read a book while she slept, but the glass frosted door meant that the bathroom light filled the bedroom with light even with the door closed. In any other situations this wouldn't have bothered me at all, and all in all is a petty compliant given that everything else was great.

The location was perfect, a tube around the corner. It was literally a 2/3 minutes walk. The room was very spacious and the bathroom was nice and clean. The staff was amazing very kind and helpful. I’d like to single out Sarah if I remembered her name correctly. She worked today as well during the morning/afternoon.

Today in the morning, the warm water wasn’t working. But I heard that others from the Cumberland apparently had an issue with it as well. The water was perfectly heated yesterday. And that there was no restaurant in the hotel, I had to cross the street to the restaurant in the Cumberland. Though it’s a 1 minute walk so not too far.
