Staff are excellent. Very obliging and always pleasant.. I liked the room a lot. Smallish but I'm fine with that. The bed was exceptionally comfortable. The pillows were of very good quality and plenty of them. I've stayed at the Adlon, Claridges and Caesars Palace. The bed was as good as any of them. The room was also spotlessly clean.

No lift. I have COPD and was originally allocated a top floor room. The receptionist, Aaron sorted me out with a ground floor room. Food and beverages were confined to few snacks and drinks on sale at reception. I was back to the hotel at about 11 each evening. The front door was always locked and it was necessary to ring the bell and await the receptionist.

I loved the location 10/10, bed was very comfy, my room was small yet had everything I needed. Temperature was perfect, room service was done on a daily basis. Very cute cookies every day with my tea selection. And tube and all bus stops are just steps away from the hotel. Downstairs staff were very polite and nice. I loved staying there overall.

Only one thing - how I could hear the neighbors walking in the hallway and floors were making noise. I guess all old buildings have this issue. But some neighbors were ignorant about others and were smashing their doors loudly. That would wake me up in the middle of the night.

The location was pretty decent. Right around the corner are decent shops and restaurants. The room was small but clean. The area was quiet despite being near a main road.

There was no aircon, just a fan, so it was hot at night. Slept with the window open. There is no lift, and the front desk lady could not assist, so had to haul my luggage upstairs. That was not fun. I have a bum leg so this was particularly troublesome. Note- the Notting Hill station also does not have lifts so if you are schlepping luggage, or have trouble with stairs... you will feel like you are an Everest sherpa.

I used it again after the last time. The room was nicely renovated. The facilities were clean and well-equipped. On the day of departure, I was able to leave my luggage after checking out, which was very helpful. I forgot to ask his name, but the male staff member on night duty was very friendly and attentive, and provided the best service‼

As usual, there is no breakfast. They said they are currently planning to open a restaurant, but...

Excellent location, so close to the tube to anywhere, buses, shops, cafes and restaurants and of course Portobello Road.

Shower situation wasn’t ideal (hand held only), and fresh towels etc would have been great. The room was cold with no double glazing and a bit of a draft.

The hotel was pretty, a mixture of old and new. Very near Notting Hill Gate statio (less than a minute walk), very near M&S, Tesco, Pret, Paul, pubs, restaurants and Portebello market! Our newly refurbished double bedroom was at the basement and it was very quiet at night. We had a good night sleep in our comfy and clean bed. Daily housekeeping and generous supply of coffee, tea and snacks! The staff were so helpful and friendly too (online and on site)! We were allowed to keep our luggage at the lobby and able to check in earlier than the check in time when our room was ready.

Nothing! Hopefully the kitchen is ready for our next stay ;)

Very friendly staff who made us feel very welcome. Room was spotless and beds were really comfortable.

Our room was ground floor and facing the front of the building so we could not really have the blind open, without being on display. Perhaps even a few more shrubs covering the bottom area of the window, would have given a little privacy. The bathroom was cleaned and had nice fittings, however the tub had jacuzzi jets which were old and weeping so the tub looked a bit unappealing. This really was a minor thing, it just took away from what otherwise was a really nice room.

This place is so cute! Very quaint, excellent location on a beautiful little street in Kenzington. The tube station is less than a 2 minute walk down to the end of the street. There are tons of shops and restaurants within a few minutes walk as well, as is Hyde Park. It is very old and in need of a bit of a refresh, but we felt that this only added to the charm. The front desk staff were excellent. Friendly, always smiling and very responsive to any requests we made - which were very few as we really did have everything we needed. Will definitely stay here again.

The recent refurbishment has provided the hotel with a good mix of modern yet heritage vibes. Many of the original period features of the Georgian Mansion have been tastefully updated yet preserved. You get a real sense and experience of living in England just by staying here. The rooms are exceptionally spacious, high ceilings, nice new carpets and good sized bathrooms compared to the newer big brand hotels. I had strong water pressure and hot water for my shower, so no problems there. Location wise it's amazing, for such reasonable pricing in a prime central London location. The Notting Hill Tube station is literally a casual walk away from the main street, where you have a variety of retail offerings and restaurants. Portobello Road is also within a stones throw. The staff were amazing, accommodating and pleasant. Top notch. Credits to the management.

Nothing.

I liked being able to visit my old neighborhood. The receptionist was flexible about checking me in early and having to leave in the very early morning. It was clean, tidy and cheerful. Good value for money.

The only disappointment was the bath. It’s jacuzzi outlets were a bit crumbled and old. When they replace it why not an ordinary bath with a good shower head. It will last longer and show wear and tear less. There is a nice reception to great friends and a little terrace outside.
