I stayed in room number 204 between 2nd and 1st floor. The room was really small (as announced) but enough for one person for a couple of nights. The room was clean and was equipped with everything necessary incl. a hair dryer and a kettle. The bed was ok, the blanked and he pillow really nice. There was enough light from the window and I was not disturbed by any sounds or smells. Good value for money. Location could not be better.

No major disadvantages, but: If you have a lot of clothes you need to hang, you might struggle. Unstable Wi-fi, you need to reconnect quite often, but the speed is ok. During my 3 nights stay, once I did not receive a spare toilet roll within the cleaning process, but apart of this the room was properly cleaned. In the end of my stay I called the reception and asked if they could send someone to help me with my luggage right before check out, but nobody came. You can let your luggage stay stored for a couple of hours before your departure, but it is just under the stairs, no locked room. There are rooms situated between the floors, as mine, be prepared to drag your luggage up or down the stairs as the lift does not stop "in the middle".

The hotel has a good location but it is a bit difficult to find at first and Ilchester gardens is a helpful clue! I like the conversion and my small (and quiet) room had all that I needed. It will be nice to have the option of breakfast at the hotel when the renovation has been completed. And, being elderly, I shall be glad of the lift. The staff were all polite and helpful. Not having to climb so many stairs up to the second floor and then down about 10 stairs to my secluded room!

Clean, well presented, good location and helpful staff

The room was cosy and the bedding was great, soft and clean. The location of the property is very close to the tube.

The property is a bit hard to find as it was just a small sign on a roof light. It’s currently renovating so there might be some noise during the time we were there, but a receptionist gave us a box of chocolate so we were happy with it 😊

Loved the location and staff was very friendly/nice. Loved the upgraded bathroom.

Had no hand towels or wash cloths.

We were only the second guests to stay there after the refurb (it was still going on) and were a little perturbed that there were bulding materials all over reception however there was zero noise from the buliders during our stay. Also, our room was pristine because of the refurb and had everything we needed. The location was excellent. We would stay again.

even though the hotel was being refurbished, the rooms and public areas were spotless. the staff were very helpful and pleasant to deal with.

The lift was in the process of being refurbished so there were a lot of stairs to our room. this won’t be a problem when lift if ready.

Noise of people above. Floors creaked, could hear them talking etc Also not 5 mins from Hyde park. It’s 5 mins from Kensington gardens and 20-25 min walk to Hyde Park which is not what we expected or why we chose this location

Location is great, in a safe and quiet area in the very center of London. The hotel has recently been refurbished, and I hope they continue to look after it. The staff is amazing—so helpful, kind, and friendly. I stayed in this hotel for 6 days, (it was for 4 days and I did extension) and they always offer upgrades if available. The bedroom and bathroom are spotlessly clean. Congratulations on the great work you are doing there. I am very sensitive about the smell etc. (lets say a bit obsessive about cleaning) The beddings, curtains just great quality and clean and all equipments just so good. (even 2 of wireless phone chargers) I was away for the weekend, and between my bookings, they kept my suitcases. Even the prices are reasonable for this quality they do some good offers on some days of the week) stayed 4 days in bigger double room. another 2 days in normal double room (it was smaller but still ok)

Only the lack of a fridge. You don't actually expect it from a small hotel, but it exceeded expectations overall. Even without a fridge, they were so kind to keep the cheese I bought as a gift to bring home.

The hotel is in a very convenient location, central but very quiet. It's not massive, and the rooms are not big, but everything was spotlessly clean. The bedding was shiny white, towels were changed daily, and there was a cattle and tea/coffee/cookies. The bathroom was very neat and refurbished. The shower was very good, powerful. There were shower gels, soaps, and shampoos as well. The impression is very nice.

The sound isolation needs work, but as far as I understand, the building itself is old and historic, so not much could be done about this.
