Good spacious clean room. Great breakfast with good choices. Helpful and pleasant host. Good to be able to park for free on site and also we were able to leave our car there for a couple of hours after check-out which we appreciated.

The texts we received before our visit were somewhat impersonal as they were not from a named person which seemed strange. Linked to this the host did not introduce himself when we arrived although, as mentioned he was helpful. As the building is very near to the town centre do allow an extra 15 minutes by car to get to the site due to the traffic through the town.

Beautiful house with 3 bedrooms available. Owners helped bring the luggage to the rooms upstairs. Entrance is more or less private as the rest of the house can be, and is closed off. Breakfast was great, cooked to order, and the owners Nick and Judith spent some time chatting with us about their business location is perfect. The main street of Lyndhurst is very picturesque with lots of shops and restaurant from which to choose. Avalon house is just a 5 minute walk away. Would absolutely stay here again.

Nick and Judith were the perfect hosts at this lovely Bed & Breakfast situated in the middle of the New Forest Area. Easy street parking with restaurants and pubs close by. Very clean, tea and coffee in room, good internet and good breakfast in the morning. They were so kind as to provide dinosaur plate and cutlery for our daughter. Nick waited for us past check in time since our flight was delayed. Will hopefully stay again in the near future.

Location very good for our purposes. Breakfast excellent. General presentation of the house and contents was excellent and the lady owner was charming and interesting about the house and its furniture.

The traffic noise was high - but the house is on a main road and the windows open due to the hot weather. The reception by the gentleman when we arrived was rather taciturn - a welcoming smile would have helped! The grass verge on the main road was very unkempt and did the house no favours visually.

Avalon House is in a great location, just a 5 minute walk in to the picturesque centre of Lyndhurst village, where there are plenty of shops, bars & restaurants, & it is also in a good spot for visiting Paultons Park, which is only a 12 minute drive away. Judith & Nick were lovely welcoming hosts, they emailed the day before to check arrival times and ask our names. The whole B&B was spotlessly clean. The two rooms we had booked were perfect for us, both with king sized beds. One had an ensuite shower room & the other a bath which was great as we were travelling with a 5yr old who likes to bath. They even had fans in the rooms which were much needed as it was warm weather. Tea & coffee with fresh milk was provided in our rooms, also good Wifi & Netflix if wanted too. The cooked breakfast was yummy (with larger portions if required) & set us up well for the day. We had a great 2 night stay at Avalon House & we would definitely book to stay again. Thank you!

Judith and Nick, our hosts, provided my wife and I a fantastic place to stay. They made us feel welcome in their home, provided an excellent cooked breakfast, gave us a beautiful clean bright room and gave us advice on places to visit. They were the perfect hosts and we look forward to staying at Avalon House again. Ideally located in Lyndhurst close to pubs and restaurants.

It was close enough to the main streets of Lyndhurst. Everything within walking distance. Everything needed was supplied, the room is clean, bed comfortable, enough drawers and cupboard for our things and coffee and tea facilities are nicely presented in the room. The breakfast was worthy of any good hotel and the hosts are very attentive.

We at first missed having somewhere to sit besides on our bed. But that was misguided. We discovered on our last day whilst we were packing, that what we thought was a fold out stand for suitcases turned out to be two fold up chairs! Silly us!

This is a great little B&B, just a few steps from the High Street in Lyndhurst. It's exceptionally clean, we had a bright room with some great touches - large shower cubicle, hairdryer and fan, handy USB charger, good tea tray with fresh milk in a flask. Breakfast was really good in a light spacious breakfast room, we went for the full English with black pudding, good tea and coffee, plenty of juice, but we could have had cereal too if we'd wanted. Nick and Judith are very interesting and interested hosts. The whole stay was really pleasant, and good value as well.

`a great location for discovering the New Forest. Nick the owner was very helpful and accommodating .Breakfast was lovely and the price was very fair. The house is a short walk to Lyndhurst with everything it offers . We took our bikes which Nick kindly kept safe for us and the B&B is a short ride to some of the great trails that the new forest offers... recommended

We booked all 3 rooms in the property as a family, including 20 month year old child and grandparents, each room was a good size with en-suite facilities. The property is a 2 minute walk to the high street with plenty of restaurants, pubs, bars and shops. Nick and Judith were excellent hosts, warm and welcoming on arrival and attentive and approachable throughout the stay without being over-baring. The breakfast offers great choice and was superb every morning. Nick and Judith also allowed us to use their dining room for a takeaway one evening during our stay. They were accommodating of our needs throughout. I would not hesitate to stay with them again. A very much enjoyed trip.
