Excellent stay at Woodland lodge hotel. We stayed in the economy room as we were attending a local wedding and it did exactly what it said on the tin. It was great value for money. The room was basic but had a comfy bed and a lovely shower. The best part about the stay was the staff. Anyone we met was very friendly. The girl at the reception as well as the cleaning staff went above and beyond to try and facilitate an earlier check-in time. Thank you. I would recommend staying here.

The room was a little small, but for the price, you can't go wrong. Our other friends who had booked a more luxurious room had loads of space. 😊

The staff were all very friendly and smiled all the time, they were happy to answer questions and help with any queries. The bed was very comfortable and our room had all the facilities we needed. Location was excellent as able to get to places around the New Forest easily, you could also walk directly into the forest from the hotel grounds.

You had to choose which days you wanted room servicing.... We personally prefer that room is serviced each day but being able to choose may suit some people more. We had a shower and a bath in our bathroom which was great but the shower cubicle was a little small!

Loved this hotel! Couldn't fault anything! The staff were lovely, it's in a beautiful setting, it has a bar and a very good restaurant, breakfast was good and we had a great meal in the restaurant too. It's spacious, we had a deluxe room and it was large, clean, and very comfortable. Breakfast in the conservatory or restaurant looking out over the garden was very pleasant. I would definitely go here again. It's not far to Lyndhurst or Ashurst, and you are in the New Forest and can walk in it from the garden.

The place was physically beautiful and the grounds were gorgeous. I especially liked the fact that the grounds opened into the forest where we took the dog hiking. We had a ground floor room which was also very convenient with the dog.

One thing we didn’t like was that we could hear very loudly through our bathroom every time the room next door flushed or ran the shower. The only other thing was really bad reception on the tv and very few channels.

Lovely hotel set in grounds you can walk in, and New Forest walks right on your doorstep. The rooms were clean, quiet and comfortable (a tower fan had been provided as it was so very warm). There was a well stocked bar, and restaurant on site, but also within walking distance of another couple of good pubs. Plenty of parking too. Lovely friendly staff, very helpful in telling us the closest beaches to take our dog to. We loved that large cushions were provided for doggy guests when sitting out on the patio. Our room had a balcony where we could sit and look over the gardens.

Everything excellent.

was with work so didn't experience all..was mainly eat sleep get up go ...but the staff were so friendly and accommodating.. room was great, nice and clean. Breakfast was fantastic...you can tell by the quality of the sausage... would definitely stay again and for non work purposes.

Room was clean as I always look around when I stay in a place this....even use my finger to check for accumulated dust...nothing... so there is nothing about this place that I didn't like.

Very friendly staff who were happy to help and offer their services. Lovely back garden, walking out into the New Forest. Great location for starting our cycling adventure. We didn't have a dog with us, but the hotel is dog friendly with dog treats and beds available.

Not great soundproofing - we were in Room 18 on the ground floor and could hear noises from upstairs - not sure if it was the water pump after a toilet was flushed, or from the shower - but quite noisy. And also noisy guests departing a party about 1am on the Saturday night.

So much to like about this hotel but the dog guy welcome pack which included a healthy treat blanket to go on the bed or floor and towel was a lively surprise (you don’t get to keep the blanket and towel). He was welcome I. All areas except tge restaurant but they made it so easy by just setting our meals up in the bar instead. The garden was huge for the kids to run around in and the access gate straight out of th back of the garden into the New Forrest made walking the dog super easy and the children were super excited to get to see the horses and pat some of them that came over to us. Food was delicious for both dinner and breakfast and it was nice to see a couple of different things on a kids menu so ham, eggs and chip stand a cheese omelette were a welcome break. The rooms we had worked perfectly for us as a family we had 2 rooms at the end of the corridor behind a fire door so if we so wanted we could leave the room doors open and the children (& dog could move between the rooms. They were light and airy with lovely big windows. If you like or need to sleep in you definitely need to pull the shutters across as well as close the curtain to keep it dark enough to sleep. We had trouble deciding what to do as there is so much not only in the surrounding area but also in very close proximity. Long Down Activity farm is just around the corner Beaulieu is about 10 mins drive and Paultons Park and Peppa pig world aren’t much further than that either. The hotel has a brochure rack if you are looking for other things to do and the staff were helpful helping to recommend places to eat nearby. As we drove away my husband said that was nice for a 3 star and I thought he was joking. It was way better than many 4 star hotels I’ve stayed and and even some 5 stars. But I would say that most or the reason for not having a higher star rating is from not having those extra facilities like spa, swimming pool, gym etc.

This hotel is located in a beautiful, quiet and peaceful location with backyard access to the lovely forest walk areas. It is a haven for bush walkers and would suit family reunions and business work groups. The rooms are comfortable and have all ammenities inclusive of ensuite bathroom, TV & Coffee making items. The staff are friendly & welcoming and offer assistance & help when required. Southampton is very close by.

All good.
