Great location in Brockenhurst, great price for the room, Modern and stylish.

They need to know the night before if you want breakfast otherwise you have to go elsewhere , also the water bottles were not replenished daily which was a shame and the bath mat was not changed , it was very grubby, I did leave it in the bath but it was ignored. Also the shower screen had no seal so every time you had a shower the floor was soaking wet, i had to use the bath mat to mop it up hence the grubbiness. Flush awful on loo. Knobs had fallen of wardrobe and drawers (these were in the bottom drawer)

We loved our stay here for the great location, friendly and welcoming staff who couldn’t do enough for you, room furnishings and decor but also for the amazing food…, great choice and executed to a very higher standard, both dinner and lunch and couldn’t recommend highly enough. The property has a great outside space too (lots of cover area also should it be raining)

Toilet system makes an electrical noise every few minutes and all night even when not in use, think this is due to the macerator. Main shower head was broken in Grouse so whilst it still showers lots of water runs over the top of the shower head and not through it as intended. Attention to cleanliness needs a little finessing to take this room and experience to the next level, things like cleaning the outer bath panel front as had water stains and cleaning/replacing the shower screen plastic seal as this was very dirty and more brown than the original clear plastic colour. Also the toiletries provided are lovely and if great quality but let down by leaking/non functional bottles.

Bed very comfortable, room good size, lots of tea, coffee and milk left out and breakfast delicious

Shower very slippery under foot and frightened of slipping. Access to a shower mat would have been nice. No dressing gown in my room. Breakfast was cooked lovely but even though the menu said different coffees, we were only allowed a cafetiere. We also asked for a jug of water but could only have a glass. We were frightened to ask for anything in the end, seems there are a lot of rules. My Brother wasn't allowed to check in at 12 even though he had requested it and had to come back in the middle of the wedding to do so.

The room was lovely with a comfy bed and lovely bed linen and towels in the bathroom. We thought it was a lovely gesture to have dressing gowns in the room too. Lovely location and good car park. We used the restaurant twice for an evening meal....really friendly staff and gorgeous food. We didn't have breakfast so cannot comment on that. Overall we were very pleased.

The room had no way of letting in fresh air and got very hot! The first night was a little noisy, we could hear next door until late hours of the night. The room was decorated beautifully but let down by a grubby carpet, stains on the walls and mould on the net curtains in the bathroom. The area around the shower looked very tired too.

Rooms, reached across a courtyard garden, are in what might have been a dairy or stables for the old inn. The room was quiet, comfortable and pleasantly decorated. Very comfortable bed and good-sized shower-room. The pub's restaurant has a good menu, and being on the same site is a plus for a single traveller. Staff were courteous, friendly and helpful. The location is so good - easy to find, in the middle of the New Forest (and helpfully on the route for the Isle of Wight).

As a pub with rooms (rather than a hotel) I can't fault The Huntsman!

Breakfast service was excellent for all three days with a good value mixed choice of cooked food, but no cereal. The room was comfortable in a small courtyard at the back. We had two evening meals both of which were well prepared and there was an extensive wine list.

The bed was not fixed and so when you sat up it moved, made us laugh more than complain. There was no two pin socket for a razor or tooth brush which considering the electric towel rail and extractor fan could easily be remedied. The worst bit was the noise from the kitchen extractor fan which felt like it ran all night long.

Good size room with large comfortable bed and en suite bathroom with shower over bath. All nicely heated. Room was on a small pretty courtyard of rooms with easy access to the pub serving great breakfasts and also enjoyed some really nice evening meals. Friendly staff mornings and evenings. Great location of pub to visit the whole New Forest, would definitely stay again.

Extractor fan in bathroom seemed a bit noisy but did a good job so can’t really complain. A few sachets of normal coffee as well as the pods for the little machine would have been nice touch, again not a complaint just a thought really.

The location of the Huntsman was suberb right in the centre of Brockenhurst so easy access to local shops and for walks in the new forest. The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The room was spacious with a nice big bed and tea and coffee facilities which were replenished daily.

The sausages at breakfast were nothing special so we stuck to the other breakfast options which were delicious. Although the room does have a hairdryer there wasn't an iron or ironing board which would have been useful.

The hotel is located close to the CBD and a short walk from the railway station. The room was clean and spacious, with access through an external courtyard. The bed was comfy and there was a lounge and desk. The shower was good, although you had to climb into a bath to use it.

The beer garden was immediately outside my room and I could hear people chatting outside when I first got into bed. The breakfast menu was varied but there was no light option, i.e. cereal, toast and tea or coffee.

Ideally situated as a touring or walking base for this area of the New Forest. Friendly staff. Good breakfast. Rooms located in a courtyard area away from the road. Food available all day. Would stay again.

To be helpful: bring your own mug if you like to drink lots of tea/coffee as the cups in the room were a bit small. Need to put lampshades over the 'Edison filament' style bulbs used. Their brightness caused some discomfort to our older eyes, but we did enjoy our stay none-the-less :-)
