For me the amenities were perfect, and that I had sink and shower in my room. For the toilet I needed to get out to the hallway shared bathroom but it was also nice because there was a bathtub which I appreciate very much in a hotel. Room was big enough to not feel like in prison which nowadays is luxury. Perfect for one person to stay for one, two weeks or more. I liked that the window was able to be opened which also nowadays you don't have often. But this hotel is in a nice residential house / area. Bus connection very easy to get into town center of Reading. Bus every ten minutes and you're there in ten. Owner very nice and helpful. Breakfast very cheap but I never tried unfortunately. Lots of mirrors in the room which made it appear bigger. Bed very comfortable. TV in the room to watch news and music. Very practical also that there is a desk in the room to write on / put things on. I will stay there again next time!
Maybe put some hangers in the little closet so it can better be used. For guest advice keep the window more closed at night or some bugs will come in. Otherwise nothing :)

The old part of the hotel where we stayed is lovely. I can't comment on the rooms in the annexe. The staff are all very friendly and efficient. The room was beautiful with an amazing soft bed. They have set the heating to be easily controlled by the guests and it was such a relief not to be too hot at night! Everything was clean and well decorated. I particularly liked that there were plenty of power points and that they had USB sockets in them. We went to a murder mystery dinner and overnight stay and would thoroughly recommend it. The breakfast was especially nice.
The meal was delicious but a little small.

Very old needs some paint and new curtains and updated lighting as it's very old and dimly lit....however it was clean coffee and tea were provided and the staff exstreamly welcoming and helpful. Extra blanket given upon request and thankfully once 10 30 hit it was very quiet and even as a light sleeper I had a really great night's rest. Shower was loverly and hot no mold or dirt and towels provided were fluffy and smelt lovely. I would definitely recommend this place for a cheap and cozy nights rest I was highly impressed with parking and value for money. I will use this place again at this very fair price.

I had a bit of an issue with the initial room. I asked for a hoover so I could give it a quick once over, but this was refused despite my protests that it would not take me long. The person in charge said it was not acceptable and that they would change the room. The room with it's own bathroom is very nice indeed. The consideration and effort of the host extremely commendable.

A nice breakfast is served at a very reasonable cost and there is a nice bar which is also reasonably priced. The staff are all natural. Some are more friendly than others but all are helpful. It is located in a quiet area and though outside Reading has very good bus links. Very good value for money.
Choice of beer was rather limited.

The location was close to the festival and l also stayed on the Sunday aswell by booking direct with hotel and i was able to be booked in out of the normal hours.. Great value for money. Staff very helpful.
Due to me being a large individual I did find a bit of a squeeze to get into the shower cubicle with the room I stayed in on the Sunday night

Good breakfast service, though as I was the only one taking breakfast I had to ask for everything I wanted. Although I arrived at 11pm, the welcome was very friendly and helpful; all the questions I had were fully answered. There was ample safe parking. The room had a pleasant outlook over a nice lawn area behind hotel with tables; no road noise there; good wifi signal. Convenient location.
Room decor was rather tired and old, though bedding and curtains were clean and new. Shower cubicle and sink had been damaged, with water-stained old lino round them, but bathroom itself was well cleaned. Thin walls and ceiling - could hear when people above walked round upstairs or ran water, and people seemed to be coming and going from an adjacent roon all night(?).

I like location of the hotel and very close to the shops and local co-op also excellent choice of breakfasts and staff friendly and very helpful to your needs
Nothing bad to say maybe a small fridge would be an advantage but honestly can't say anything bad all is good it's a roof over your head and great bed compared to a hospital bed.
