We loved everything about our stay at the Whiteley. Our room was clean and beautifully decorated with a fabulous sea view. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was a good size and very efficient. Nothing was too much trouble for our host Alison, who made us feel very welcome. The breakfasts were great with plenty of choices and cooked to perfection. Car parking was easy : although there was limited parking on site we were issued with a parking permit to park opposite. All in all a lovely stay and we’ll definitely be coming back.

The host's were very friendly and welcoming The room was very spacious with great sea views and had everything that we needed to enjoy our stay for the night The food for breakfast was absolutely lovely ,with a good choice of cooked english ,cereal and hot and cold drink and were also very accommodating to what you would prefer to eat We would certainly go back and recommend anyone else to stay These buildings are categories 2 listed from the Victorian era and are surrounded with history

The sea view was great and our room was clean and had everything we needed. The breakfast was good. Also enjoyed the location as we were close to the beach and there was parking for our car on the premises. We walked everywhere from there.

The bathroom was really tiny, couldn't quite sit on the toilet without turning sideways when the door was closed and the shower was very small, but the bathroom was clean. The shower flooded around our ankles when showering as the water took a while to drain which we forgot to mention. The only other thing was that the duvet needed to be slightly bigger as it barely covered the bed, but we managed.

Very friendly and made you feel very welcome could'nt do enough for you. Lovely big bedroom with sea view, plenty of tea and coffee etc. would recommend and hope to see them again.

The cartons of milk I think should be semi and not whole milk not many people use whole milk now. And to save money and help the environment there should be a small notice in the bathroom to ask guest if they need towels changing to leave them on the bathroom floor Allison changed them even though they had not been used. Just thinking about your pocket Allison

Fantastic sea view, with table and chairs to sit at the window, very comfortable bed and pillows. plenty of towels and toiletries provided if needed. more than enough tea, coffee and milk also two bottles of water and some lovely biscuits all replenished daily. The room was nice and warm and the radiators easy to adjust if needed in this British changeble weather. The breakfast was great, good choices and plentifull. The hosts were lovely very chatty and welcoming. All in all a brilliant stay with brilliant hosts. Would highly recommend for a peaceful stay

Being picky, the curtains in our room let in quite a bit of light (I'm used to blackout blinds) so woke up early, but soon fell back to sleep to the sound of the waves.

Alison & Neil are so welcoming and friendly, the rooms are very clean and tidy , the full English breakfast is amazing but they have a good choice of other things too , they have a few parking spaces but you can also get a permit to park on the street outside the property overlooking the bay , the North bay has lots going on and Alison will advise on the best things to do if your unsure, not too far from the main town and South bay if you don't mind a little walk about 20 mins. We will definitely be back again.

Welcoming and friendly owners -they treated us like family! Amazing sea views. Excellent & entertaining breakfasts! Convenient parking.

Our first bedroom was somewhat cramped with little wardrobe space given we were staying for a week however our request for a larger room was readily met when it became available on day three. Thereafter we were very comfortable with no further complaints

Breakfast, as stated in other reviews, was outstanding. Locally sourced sausages and extra thick cut bacon, with mushrooms, eggs cooked any which way, tomatoes, fried slice of bread and white and/or brown toast to accompany it all - fantastic! You could also have a variety of cereals or fruit, and tea and coffee was also provided. Location is excellent, only a short walk from North Bay, Castle and the city centre, and not much further to South Bay. Parking was free at the "back" of the hotel (facing the sea). I was particularly impressed with the wi-fi and TV connectivity - access to Youtube, Amazon Prime and Netflix was available, you simply had to sign in with your own details on the TV. No sign of Disney+ though, however, we weren't there to watch TV all day! We were in the only downstairs room (12) which overlooked the garden on North Marine Road but was a good distance from it so little to no noise pollution, even with our sash window propped open. Quite a small room but the ensuite shower was powerful enough and there was plenty of storage space for our long weekend stay. Hairdryer included too (not that I need one nowadays...) Plenty of spare towels and sheets available though we were lucky with decent weather and didn't need them. Our hosts couldn't do enough for us and provided an iron and board as some of our clothes had gotten creased on the journey, that was very much appreciated.

My wife loved the soft mattress but it was a bit too soft for me! A couple more power sockets might have been useful (we could only find one spare one) but we coped just fine.
