This is a Gem in the most beautiful country estate setting with fabulous restaurants, bars and a stunning local beach only 5 mins away. Incredible Spa facilities but the real strength is the staff who go above & beyond in terms of customer care, Dawn the Housekeeping Manager runs an incredible show. Rooms are serviced daily, beautiful crisp linens, luxurious bed & bathroom, massive rooms with balcony & comfortable outdoor furniture throughout the grounds.Air conditioning in rooms fantastic during the hot periods. Food is incredible, breakfast, bar and restaurant. One of the best hotels we’ve stayed in & reasonably priced. So central for accessing local tourist towns like Powey or South Cornwall. Reception staff are incredibly knowledgeable & helpful throughout your visit.❤️

There is nothing that could be better except to perhaps relocate a few of the lovely friendly waitresses to join the rather quiet boys in the bar to enhance the buzz & customer care as it gets busy in the evenings towards weekends.

Peaceful location and grounds with Mevagissey only a 10 minute drive down the road. Well kept with good facilities and comfortable clean rooms Very friendly staff. The staff left a card and rose petals on the bed as they knew the stay was a present for my wife's birthday, which was a nice touch.

Feels like it should be an adults only hotel or at least much reduced children time in the infinity pool. There was quite a boisterous family in the pool for a long time, which spoilt the chilled vibe a bit, we came to escape noisy kids 😄. I know the hotel can't help how guests behave and to be fair could have booked an adults only hotel. The only other tiny thing is that the windows in the infinity pool needed a clean.

Breakfast was good 8/10. Essentially 2 parts to it - buffet continental & then freshly cooked options on order. Buffet was good, perhaps a little limited in variety & had to ask for some things which were not always put out. Cooked element - pretty good choice, delivered promptly and very nice - the staff were very nice and accommodated any preferences. Room was very nice 8/10 - good air conditioning. Wardrobe was unlit but reasonable size. The cleaning staff were nice but not very consistent - had to ask 3 times for replacement tissues; the toilet roll wasn't replenished when used up and used cups not always replaced, however the room was always tidy and clean. Good parking. Saw the spa but didn't enter - pool looked nice but not clear if was available to all hotel guests as it was only ever referred to in conjunction with spa events or spa bookings - felt targeted towards non-guests. Overall, a really pleasant stay - lovely grounds, lots of birdsong and the room balconies were a nice touch.

See above.

Beautiful hotel, it was very clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We really did enjoy coming back to our room at the end of each day! We always got clean towels and refreshments every day. We never heard any other people in the rooms next door which was great for us and our view was lovely overlooking the grounds!

The hotel food wasn’t as good as what we were expecting and it cost us £72 for 2 people. Breakfast was also expensive if it isn’t included in the price. Tv didn’t seem to work that well and we only got 5 standard channels which was a shame as we like to watch tv in bed on an evening

The lovely location, the spa & other facilities, the friendly & helpful staff, the large bedroom with large comfy bed & air con, safe, fridge and power shower. The large balcony with comfy furniture. My choice of Full cornish breakfast in a pleasant dining area, (overseen by helpful & friendly staff every morning) was very tasty, & with unlimited tea, toast, coffee & fresh orange, set us up for the day. Replenishment of daily towels, robes, water, bathroom requisites & tea, coffee & milk plus room cleaning was regular & spot on. Partner who drove loved the safe & free parking & we both enjoyed the leisure facilties.

Nothing much; no sky on small wall tv &; no entertainment on Sat/Sun evening (even a quiz may be fun)? plus no TV in said bar so too quiet; dinner menu variety a little poor IMHO, infinity pool doors never opened for our 4 night stay. Finally, NOT hotels fault :-) torrential rain all day Friday ha ha, just joking! Plus we both VERY sorry we live too far away to stay more often.....

The staff were all friendly and helpful. Our rooms (Luxury) were spacious and it was nice to have the extra room of the balconies with a nice view, where we could meet up, as a family. The pool is lovely and bigger than most hotel pools but the route to it is confusing and off-putting as you have to go outside! There was some gluten free food available and it was clearly indicated. It has air conditioning and is a good base for visiting Newquay, Looe, etc.

Having to go outside to the pool was very disappointing at a hotel of this quality, particularly as it is not clearly signposted. I did not feel safe going alone.

The rooms were really good and the bed was huge. Strange with a bath in the bedroom.. spa was really good . Really quite rooms

Wall paper a little knocked and tatty . But nothing really. The breakfast was good The only thing is if you wanted cappuccino or speciality tea you had to pay £2.50 extra , which is ok for speciality coffee but for tea seemed a little expensive especially with the price of the breakfast . Also there didn't seem to be much customer service as when checked out wasn't asked how was your stay as it is mostly asked at other hotels

The location was great for our needs. The waiting staff were very friendly and the food was super. The receptionist when we arrived was great.

The room was meant to be a superior/luxury.... was more like a large standard room. Need a bit of attention to standards/details as scuff marks on walls and little crummy around edges, the bath had a big gauge out of it near taps. Seemed like a new carpet as door hard to open. Need more room staff as lots of bags of laundry left down corridor. In the spa the reception should be near the window to the pool as no lifeguard around and a bit of a walk if something happens. Lots of plastic cups left laying around pool area, floor very slippery.

We always choose here to relax, it’s a very good location for peace and quiet. The rooms are spacious with lovely balcony’s to enjoy the views. Staff are very friendly.

I’ve got to be honest the pool has let it down my last couple of visits. Firstly the cleanliness in the pool I’ve spotted hairbands and plasters on my last 2 visits and the sound of children screaming and splashing about is fine but maybe set hours for children would be better? We tend to swim before check in and gave up in the end as it was busy with children. Maybe that’s not very important to some people but for the price we paid we wanted peace including the pool.

The upgraded room we had was most excellent as was the view. We also enjoyed the spa pool very much. Breakfast was great too.

We were let down on our last night by the taxi service booked through the hotel. It didn't turn up. When we phoned we were told the driver waited 20 minutes. Well we waited more than that and before the time and no-one turned up. We didn't get breakfast on the last day. The waiter (a different one to usual) took our order but then must have missed it as we waited 30 minutes but after 8.30 there was no-one serving in the main room (as it was busy) and no-one to ask. We had to leave. We were given fruit, pastries and takeaway coffee which was helpful but we were looking forward to a cooked breakfast as we were driving for 6 hours.
