Where do i begin ! What a lovely place, these are the positive points in no particular order.......... - Nice to stay in a place with Character, stunning building ! - Customer service is excellent, courteous, professional but with a personal touch. - Rooms are very comfortable, very clean and the welcome tray is off the scale ! - The breakfast menu is wide ranging and quality fresh food , uncut bread , fresh ingredients, nothing too much trouble. The Hosts, Paul & Liz are first class, all the Staff are very professional, but get that personal touch. Highly Recommended! 5* for me, I will definitely be returning and my Staff will be staying here when in the area.

My son and I travelled to Stourbridge for a family funeral. We 'accidentally' fell upon the Seven Stars on the internet and were completely delighted that we did. From the moment we arrived we were met by a charmingly friendly staff who were beyond helpful in making the stay as comfortable and as easy as possible. This is a fantastic old pub, 1907 I believe and is fitted with most of its period fittings which make the stay extra special. All of the staff were friendly and knowledgable and easy to get along with. I would recommend the 'Stars' to anyone without thinking twice about it. The Stars has one of the most comprehensive selection of beers and cider that I've seen with loads of guest ales for the discerning drinker to tackle. I leave until last a word on the breakfasts. Look out! Is all I can say. I have never in my lifetime been confronted with such a huge selection of the most delicious ingredients one could wish for. All beautifully cooked by a darling of a lady who again was so pleasant and helpful. Seriously, be hungry for this breakfast - Red Rum couldn't have jumped across this - massive! Well done, The Seven Stars, keep it up. We WILL be back. John and Robin O'Donnell.

The only thing that could have made our stay better was if we had been able to stay even longer. A gem of place. Please don't change, what you have here is brilliant.

We arrived with heavy suitcases, two young men took our bags up for us, with smiles and lively chats! We had lunch, food was amazing, but huge portions…for us. We told the young man the food was superb, it was just a generous portion and we were not able to finish it. We had an early morning flight to catch, we left the hotel at 6:00 AM. We were told where to leave the room key and how to let ourselves out. All with smiles! Excellent hotel, loved the charm and it was so clean, we loved our stay, we were sorry it was only for one night. We are from Calgary Canada, possibly we will come back again to visit.

We loved everything!

The welcome we received was one of the warmest we have ever had in any hotel stay. The rooms were spotless, comfy and with lovely touches such as a coffee machine. The breakfast was exceptional. Quality of the food was excellent. Great location for concerts in Birmingham and access to the motorway. Lots of interesting history about the pub. Hope lots of other people take advantage of staying and are equally impressed by the level of customer service and quirky but fab location.

Nothing. All great.

The stafff were amazing and so friendly. The place was immaculately clean and the breakfast was amazing!

Cleanliness matters more than anything and visiting the bathrooms in the public bar areas, I can honestly say that they are the cleanest I have come across in a pub. The room was well equipped and comfortable and needless to say perfectly clean. The breakfast was incredible and so generous that on the second day, I had to ask for a smaller portion, and even that was too much!

Very conveniently located for Stourbridge Junction station and only a few steps from well-served bus stops. A warm and friendly welcome on arrival from Ruth, one of the owners. Comfortable bed in a spacious, clean and pleasantly decorated room with lots of storage space; large, light and airy bathroom with a great shower. Staff were courteous, friendly and helpful. Breakfasts cost extra but well worth paying for if you like a big breakfast - not so much if you're a tea & toast person. For real ale drinkers, this place is Paradise! Alas, in a 4 night stay, I only managed to work my way through about half the 12 varieties on offer!

A couple of minor niggles: lighting in the bedroom (room 3) isn't great. In particular, the hairdryer and mirror are in a dark alcove where you are always in your own shadow. When I arrived, the well stocked hospitality tray was on the bed. Unfortunately, the only other places to put it are the floor or the dressing table/desk where it takes up most of the work space. Perhaps a small table under the window or beside the armchair is needed?

Firstly this is a good pub. Well worth a visit simply on that basis. It has a great range of real ales. There must have been at least 10 pumps on the bar. Also has some of those traditional very fancy tiles and stained glass windows. As a place to stay it's fantastic. My room was large and clean and had good tea and coffee making facilities. The room was quiet, warm and the bed was comfortable. In terms of the location the train station (Stourbridge Junction) is just a few minutes walk away and the trains will take you into central Birmingham in under 30 mins. The breakfast here was so good. It was more than I could eat and the quality was fantastic.

All good as far as I'm concerned.

I spent the night there with my 21yr old daughter because she had an exam nearby. we were apprehensive about staying away from home as we have never been away without my husband, the staff and customers alike made us feel at ease because of the very comfortable environment, they even offered us a game of darts. room lovely and comfortable, every thing you can think of provided and the breakfast was to die for amazing produce especially the sausage and I’m not a big sausage fan. would 100% stay again. and the bonus was the train station across road.

What an amazing beautiful building full of character, oldy woldy meets modern, decor of pub caught in time from its roots, tiles of incredible beauty and style. Staff simply brilliant, happy to help and passionate about the place and pride in working in such an environment. Room very clean spacious modern comfortable. Extras included a lovely welcome tray of goodies, water and an esspro machine. Had dinner which tbh I didn't expect to be amazing but wow...a pie the size of a tractor wheel and the flavour of a gourmet. Best onion rings ever btw. Breakfast was hearty delicious and set me up well. A really really warm welcome awaits for all.

There cannot be anything to criticise.

Cant fault the staff and place. Check in was quick and smooth, very friendly on arrival and a great help. Bathroom was big with a powerful shower. Coffee, water and buiscuits was a lovely treat. Very clean. We were worried about the noise in the pub staying over a weekend, it was very quiet in the room, not a concern at all. Great ales at the bar. It was ideal for the train station which was a 1 minute walk up the hill. Close to town and the bus stop also. Would stay again, wish we could have stayed another night!
