The young man in the restaurant at breakfast was exceptionally pleasant and attentive. Because I use a stick he came over immediately and offered to get our breakfast for us. He was very very helpful and courteous and made breakfast not only easier than it might have been, but more enjoyable as well. I didn't get his name but would appreciate it if you could pass on my thanks. Other staff were also very helpful but this young man really stood out.

Because there is a Holiday Inn and a Holiday Inn Express we were confused and booked into Holiday Inn, Filton and the friends we were meeting up with went to the Express hotel! We had to get a taxi there and back to meet up for dinner! It didn't make it obvious enough on the booking site.

Overall staff were helpful and friendly. Room cleaned every day. Had a fridge in our room which contained bottles of water and Mars bars 😄. Very comfortable beds. Breakfast had lots of options but would have been better if we had an option to have an omelette instead of fried or scrambled eggs. A blue tooth speaker in our room was a great idea. Housekeeper was lovely and so was the young man in the Breakfast restaurant (I wished I asked for his name) as he was so attentive, helpful and welcoming!

The steam room was closed until further notice which was very disappointing. We had to ask for towels when using the pool. A member of the public had to tell me about the wringer to dry my swimming costume (should have been informed by the staff member). Had to book time slots for the pool but wasn't told about swimming lessons taking place at particular times in the day where only 2 thirds of the pool was available for use. Not enough staff manning reception so had to wait in a queue to ask a question. Location not close to anything so needed to take a taxi to get anywhere.

Ideally placed to take a short bus ride into Bristol. The staff on the reception desk gave us the bus timetable and advised us which stops to use and the number of the route we'd need. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. We stayed one night and our room was very clean and comfortable. We had chosen to eat our evening meal in Bristol but we did have the hotel breakfast the next morning. Breakfast was buffet style with a lovely choice of cooked English, toast, fruit, cereal, yoghurt and breakfast pastries as well as tea, coffee and fruit juices. Perfect start to the day. We would definitely stay here again.

The location of the hotel suited our needs. We chose the half board option as we did not want the hassle of leaving the hotel after a long drive and the prospect of an early start the following morning. The room was not ready when we arrived which was fine as we were offered a drinks voucher whilst we waited. It was a busy evening. The room (Executive) was comfortable and had everything that we needed. Dinner was slightly chaotic as staff were struggling to cope with a large influx of guests. We were not in any particular rush and all in all it was a pleasant meal (large portions though). Would definitely stay here again if visiting Bristol. Well done to the staff who work in very difficult circumstances with the added issue of Covid restrictions. Guests should be more considerate instead of complaining!

Nothing really. We were looking for a hotel in Bristol and this one ticked all our boxes.

Breakfast was lovely so was the menu for dinner included. I did love the mini fridge though only I k ew I could of.

Only thing I recommend was having the TV allow own USB or dvd player. I have special need children and we brought our USB with films on for the evening to watch with popcorn but the TV wouldn't allow USB as had hotel info on. It was very hard to accommodate my children in a small room with not alot of TV options for them. gone to shop and brought chocolates. Maybe the bar could offer more sweets and chocolate options

We chose this hotel as although out of town we had a dinner option and a swimming pool which the others didn't have. Very good value for money, excellent transport links to the town centre and the staff were all very friendly. We have already booked to return next year.

There was a very small step (only 1/2 cm) into the bathroom which we tripped on a couple of times till we remembered it was there. We left a towel by the door so we were reminded of the hazard but it could do with something to make it into a slope or perhaps some yellow safety tape to highlight it is there?

There were far many more good points than bad, all staff, especially in breakfast service, were so friendly and helpful, very refreshing to be somewhere ALL staff are amazing. Food was good both dinner and breakfast, decor of eating and bar area were tastefully done. Room was perfect, comfortable and nicely decorated with all you needed ( proper cups and biscuits on hospitality tray would have been nice). Parking facilities was great being given extra time was so helpful for our trip. Thank you for a wonderful stay will definitely be returning.

A wait at reception on arrival and also no one present at reception on departure but not a long wait. There seemed to be a group of males, possibly workmen, who when we arrived were very drunk and continued to drink through out evening swearing and being roudy. I know this is not down to hotel but think someone should have asked them to keep language down.

Shame about the staff shortage so evening meal was taken in bar area. The staff were really good coping with only a few of them, they worked very hard. Breakfast was good, well presented and kept fully stocked. Rooms were adequate, though there was a note to say it would not be serviced during my stay unless requested. Should be some consideration as to cost if so few staff and no room cleaning. We can blame covid for a lot but most people lost money, not only the hotels! & we are beginning to feel penalised by those when we have no choice?

Lack of service and staff

The hotel was extremely clean. All staff were very polite, helpful and friendly. The bar and restaurant staff whilst very young had excellent customer service skills and always enquired if they could be of further assistance. The room was very clean and the beds comfortable. There was air conditioning and windows that opened. Even though it was 34 degrees outside the room was not stuffy or unpleasant. The bar and lounge area were welcoming and it was easy to book a swimming slot at check in. Check in was very quick and easy

There was nothing to dislike

Location…beautiful gardens and lake to walk round. Stunning wildlife Staff were friendly and helpful. Shout-out to Nora who was brilliant! Very comfortable bed and very clean room. Excellent breakfast.

Evening meal and service in the restaurant wasn’t up to scratch but they recognised this…new Covid rules being put in to place! Gave us 25% off! Asked for adjoining room for a child which wasn’t given even though the room was empty. 14yr old had to sleep in a completely different room which was disappointing as we notified on booking and asked again at the hotel.
