Absolutely stunning location. The pod was brilliant! Was great to have our own space and the terrace area was fabulous for a peaceful morning brew from our room and a evening glass of wine in our own space after long walks. Perfect for our dog, as he had his own gated off grass space infront of the pod so he could relax and play and we didn't have to worry. The staff were so friendly and welcoming couldn't fault them. The bar and restaurant were well presented and a nice place to go and unwind. It's within walking distance of a village shop and local pubs. Food was lovely as well - home cooked chips were beautiful... But the Pod we stayed in was the highlight! Would 100% come back again, was a great place! Thank you to the staff and team!

Bed was slightly uncomfortable but was more than accommodating for our weekend stay - but wouldn't say it was a massive negative

Beautiful spacious rooms, very clean and comfortable bed. Staff were just amazing, nothing was too much for them, so helpful. Breakfast was very tasty, quick and hot! We had a meal here and I can so recommend the food, I ate the sea bass, best I've had yet! My daughter had a dirty burger and also said it was the best she's eaten. The playpark is really really good, you need this and it's very rare to find a park like this at any accommodation. I cannot fault this hotel at all, I really have thought of any negatives .. nope.. not one. You will not be disappointed staying here.

We didn't like having to come home. Our younger daughter offered to pay with her pocket money for an extra night!

We stayed in one of the lodges and wow it was perfect. Cleaned daily all the facilities you needed. The view was just stunning. Breakfast was included and great choice available. Catered for allergies well as I'm coeliac it can be an issue but they had gluten free breakfast on menu Ate in evening x2 food was lovely again gluten free, vegetarian and vegan catered for. Plenty of choice. Staff always friendly and polite will definitely be booking in here next time we visit family.

In all honesty there was nothing we didn't like about our stay,

The room was spacious. The bed was really comfortable. The staff were all so friendly & knowledgeable, nothing seemed too much trouble. The food was delightful & there was a great choice available. Prices were really reasonable. Their bar was well stocked, too. It was nice to see a mix of locals in the bar as well as guests. It felt a good atmosphere. Dog friendly & made to feel welcome.

The only thing I would pick as "could be improved" would be, as our room was on the ground floor, unless we closed the curtains, people using the cut through could see in. Maybe a voile or a net curtain at the window would help obscure the view in.

Room although small, was spotlessly clean with all facilities that worked and very comfortable. Breakfasts were superb with lots of choice. We ate every night in the restaurant and the food was top quality Lakeland produce. Eva was very helpful and friendly and looked after us well. Will not hesitate to stay at the Kellbank again as it is ideally located for touring the Western lakes.

Although I am disabled, I had to climb four stairs to get to our room which was difficult each time I wanted to leave or go to the restaurant. Also the bathroom only had a bath and no walk in shower which also proved difficult to use because of my mobility. Otherwise everything was fine.

We were very pleased with our room. We had been upgraded as it was our 53rd wedding anniversary. The bathroom was wonderful, a lovely wet room. The bed was very comfy. There was plenty of space for all your clothes. Nice big TV. Good tea tray with lots of tea & coffee. Extra milk supplied when asked. The breakfast was really plentiful & tasty. All staff were very polite, friendly & helpful. There's lots of parking space too. We would definitely return.

The toilet seat was loose. No where in the bathroom to put all your toiletries. Duvet too heavy......we were roasted. No sandwiches/rolls or light meals on the menu.

Rooms were amazing, clean, spacious and more than we expected. Breakfast was amazing, lots on offer and nothing was too much to ask for the staff, and we were impressed we were reserved tables and staff remembered our orders. The restaurant was beautifully set each time, and the staff were amazing with the children too. The food was mostly lovely, tried a few different things on menu between us.

More facilities for the children, (bigger/more in the park) Local guide/ideas on things to do around area. Staff name tags, so we could remember names and address (and thank) them appropriately. Meals were inconsistent, in portion size and appearances, leaving a few disappointed children on an evening.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Rooms were spacious, well equipped and comfortable. Food was excellent with generous portions, didn't have starters and no room for dessert! and plenty of choice. For 3 star accommodation it was exceptional and would go again. We would highly recommend it to others..

The mian dining area felt claustrophobic and dim, however there was a brighter section to one side of the main area which we used for breakfast.

Myself and my partner stay at the Kellbank for a weekend in July every year and will continue to do so for the foreseeable future. I personally used to stay as a stop over whilst traveling through but as the service and comfort are spot on. couple of years ago we decided to actually stay for the weekend as a welcome break from the kids and now look forward to it every year. This year we arrived and were informed that we were actually staying in one of there pods, shocked but made up as my partner has always wanted to stay in one we grabbed or key and went to explore our lodgings.. after 10 minutes of trying to convince her i hadn't booked it on purpose (should of took the credit i know) we finally sat down and wow.. stunning! Situated on the car park and facing out across the valley it felt like we were completely secluded from the world. The underfloor heating was just perfect after a day of waterfall chasing in the rain and the shower was that good neither of us wanted to get out!!! Breakfast was fabulous as always and it was good to see our main man Giles was on top form with the service like he always is! This little hidden gem is perfectly situated for what ever your interests are from waterfalls to walks, hikes, lakes or simply the views. I have stayed all over the area and can honestly say for this price bracet it is hard to beat. Already looking forward to Kellbank weekend 2024

Allthough the evening food is fantastic the menu is small.. this is not a criticism at all however were running out of things to try ;)

A few minutes walk into the village. Very dog friendly and wonderful staff. The food was fantastic and breakfast one of the best with quality bacon. Very relaxed atmosphere. Plenty of places to visit in the area, river walks, hill hikes and beaches which are sandy and vast when the tide is out.

We didn't have a view from our dog friendly room but I suppose that's just how some rooms are, everything else was great. Definitely will return
