Great location walk to the beach and trails along the beach. Nice room, good strong shower. Free charging for your electric car, a nice pleasant surprise. Sheets were clean but the mattress was not. otherwise great stay.

Locks on our doors are installed upside down, so in the morning, some other guests walked right in our unlocked door!(probably thinking it was the lobby)

Staff were very nice. Room was very clean. Nicely stocked with decent sized mini fridge. Like 5 minute drive to beach. Large room. This is an older property and some furnishings are pretty dated (if that's important to you, it's not to me) but they are updating, we got a brand new mattress our 2nd day there, as did lots of other rooms and saw new furniture going into other rooms too.

No shelf space in bathroom. Parking lot is a little tight and a lot of cars park along the street so visibility exiting the lot isn't great.

Good access to the beach. Quiet-ish after 2 AM. Grocery shopping was within walking distance. The spa tub was awesome! Housekeeping replaced soap/towels and made the bed daily so we returned home to a neatened space.

Apparently there was breakfast offered in the lobby but we were checked in by someone in a rush wearing painter's overalls. He seemed to be distracted so we didn't have an orientation. We rented the room with the kitchenette, but if you're planning to cook, bring your own plates/bowls and anything you need beyond a frying pan, cutting board and forks. Most nights it sounded like someone was moving/dropping heavy bricks upstairs (it appears that someone is living in one of the rooms above the King suite). The apartment buildings on both sides can be noisy late/early. We always travel with a white noise machine which was helpful except for the loudest crashes from upstairs.

Here is what we liked about the place: Great location, close to everything in Carpinteria. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Nice decor on the outside of the motel with outdoor tables and chairs. Good sized mini-fridge and microwave. Decent selection of TV channels. The beds weren't too uncomfortable, but ours was a bit noisy.

The breakfast was just okay: coffee, juice, milk, cereal and some croissants which were a bit stale. The rooms are small, which is okay, but not a lot of storage, table or counter space for things, especially in the bathroom. I believe not all the rooms have the same furniture, so it might have been the room we were in that had limited storage. When we were there it rained. Since the floors are tiled, it would have been nice to have a floor mat to keep the floor dry when we walked in with wet shoes.

Bathroom was good, although the mirror was placed oddly. Not over the sink, but one the side. It was hard to put make-up on.

Of the 5 electrical outlets, not one recharged my phone. I even bought a new charger, but still couldn't charge the phone. So, i turned off the phone to preserve what little time was left, in case of an emergency. No phone in the room. The bed was too soft (for me), and one side of the bed sagged. I couldn't sleep on my right side, 'cause I thought I'd roll off the bed.

this place was great everything you needed. Plus the attention was there. I will always come back to this place. I’ve heard negative opinions we gotta consider the people that give negative attitudes just could never be pleased. This place was great fantastic value if you are connected with Booking.com they give you a $10 discount may not be much for some people but then it’s a lot to others so whoever you negative Nelly’s are wake up smell the coffee enjoy the roses and get off your high horse.

Breakfast was standard fare, nothing exceptional. Great location, cute room, friendly staff.

Some drawbacks: room was a bit stuffy and the bed was not the most comfortable. Also, there was an automatic light in the bathroom, which we could not control, and this became very annoying to the point of disrupting our sleep at times.

Good on both. Fun eating outside. Great restaurant and walk. Tiles and other designs outside and in. Fairly quiet. Nice greats. Good breakfast. Good cross breeze. Good location. Clean. Clasp to the beach. Easy and very close parking.

The 2nd bed was squeezed into way too small a space. A loud bang like a gun or firecracker around 11 p.m. No decaf coffee (small dislike).
