The entire hotel is so beautiful. The room is adequately sized with a very comfortable bed and chairs. The fireplace is the best feature in the room. It truly add ambiance to the experience. The immenties in the room were very nice. Breakfast is amazing. Quite a feast both mornings. The wine and cheese in the afternoons is a perfect way to wind down from the daily adventures and prepare for dinner. All employees we came in contact with were extremely friendly, helpful and always ready to answer any questions or help. It is situated in a great location that allows for walking to sights and hiking trails. And there is any type of restaurant you could want within a short walk from the hotel. Easy to use parking area which is covered and so welcome.

My wife and I enjoyed our stay very much. The room was clean and comfortable. The service and food at breakfast was exceptional. We really enjoyed the grounds as well, the gardens were beautifully maintained. The location and self parking were great additions as well. We would stay there again in a heartbeat. We didn't have a pet with us, but we loved how welcoming you were to the 4 legged family members too. Well done, thank you for a great visit.

The bed was a but uncomfortable, but wouldn't stop me from staying again.

The room is huge and beautifully furnished, with a gas fireplace, sitting area with two armchairs, huge wooden desk and high sloped ceilings. There was also a small balcony from which the ocean was visible, even though it's not a beachfront property. Breakfast was delicious (omelettes instead of congealed scrambled eggs) and cheese and wine in the evening is a convenient bonus. Location could not have been better, we walked everywhere we wanted to see in Monterey, and parking in the hotel garage was $17, which I found reasonable after San Francisco.

Love the Location! Staff always professional and accommodating. Fireplace makes a clean and comfortable room even cozier. Lobby is a great place to meet with friends and spend some time together. Love later checkout time.

No microwave in the room, but there's one accessible/available in the dining area. Didn't realize "parking available" meant paying an extra $20/day to park in their below ground parking area if you don't want to search for metered street parking. Breakfast was similar to a Holiday Inn Express - folded over omelets, sausages, waffle bar, etc. The price was crazy high for one of the three nights, but unfortunately, the same went for all hotels in the area.

The room was great and the King bed was very comfortable. The staff made us feel welcome. They even had a welcome sign with your pets name on it in the main lobby with treats and doggie litter bags. We needed mobility accommodations and the hotel provided a shower bench. They also located us on the 1st floor close to the elevator which takes you right to the parking garage. The breakfast was delicious. They say it is a continental breakfast but they offer waffles, sausage, and omelets.

The bed was high off of the ground making it difficult for someone with a mobile disability to get in bed. Luckily I had a step stool in my car my mom could use to get up on the bed.

It was a beautiful hotel from the outside it just looks like a big old Victorian house. The hotel and the grounds are well maintained and kept nicely. The breakfast is GREAT. The wine and cheese happy hour was awesome as well. The staff were VERY friendly and polite. It was a great stay!!!

The only thing I didn't like was not having a jacuzzi to soak in after a long day of walking around in that nice cool marine air. I know it's not a big deal but you asked.

Quiet yet very close to Cannery Row. Brought my dog who was made very welcome with treats and complementary poo bags. Nice place with flower gardens and beautiful plantings. The breakfast was generous and tasty

The pictures of the property are not at all accurate. I don’t believe there are any rooms within the Victorian itself. Instead, you will be housed in a very pedestrian hotel. The rooms are clean (ours had a gas fireplace) the shower was awesome! But I do believe the photos of the property are misleading.

Nice large room. Good location near Fisherman's wharf. Welcome sign for our pup and water bowl and bottled water. Breakfast was wonderful. The maids not only cleaned but were so helpful with helping get access to room and assisting me with breakfast when I had to transport food to our room and leave waffles being made until I returned to get them.

Our room had no character. Did not go with Victorian main building. The tap water was the worst I have ever tasted and no bottled water was available in the room either free or with a charge. I had to go to desk and purchase it. When tap water is so over chlorinated, free bottles show be provided or at least in room to buy.

Breakfast was good. Seating in the lobby and maneuvering in there while crowded was a bit tight, but outdoor areas to eat were abundant so it was fine.

No complaints, but an observation: the girl at the front desk during check out rarely looked up from her computer when speaking with us. Not sure what was going on but we felt like we were being a bother. The check IN staff were wonderful, however. Also, she mentioned that she would email our receipt to us, and we haven’t received one yet.
