Arden Star Hotel

I called before check in to confirm my stay and check in time and was able to preselect where my room would be! The front desk attendants were all very nice and accommodating. The beds are comfy and the parking was adequate and safe. Both nights I returned late and was still able to get a good spot. The location was very convenient for me and everything you could possibly need is close by. This was my second stay and most likely not my last.

The shelf inside the shower was partially broken when I arrived. It was still usable, but something I let the front desk know about asap as I wanted to make sure they knew it was like that upon arrival. The lighting in the room is also kinda dim if you have the shades closed.

The front desk staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, I wish I had gotten their names so I could single them out for praise. The air conditioner in my room was in need of repair and when I let the staff know, they really went out of their way to sort me out and upgraded me to a better room with an AC they tested first. It was very clean and comfortable. The bed was fantastic and the kitchenette was very nice. Aside from the AC it was very quiet. It’s not near a freeway but it’s very easy to get there from I-5.

The air conditioners are rickety and old, which is a big problem in August. The one in the first room was extremely loud and sounded like it was going to break. The AC in the second room was working fine but is still loud. No other complaints though.

Breakfast had a good variety of cold and hot foods (eggs, bacon, sausage, yogurt, bagels, waffles, French toast, cereal, and more). All of the staff were very friendly and helpful, and the night clerk even drew us a map to our room and advised where the best place to park would be. The pool and hot tub were a great extra and well-maintained. The bedding was comfy and cozy, bathroom was small but very clean and nicely decorated. Close to plenty of food and shopping options. Never had any issues with the area, and all entrances except the main lobby are accessible only with a hotel key card (including the exterior courtyard spaces).

The bed was a bit too firm for my personal preference, but that was the only downside to my stay! Plenty of free on-site parking (including handicap spaces), but you may have to walk a bit depending on where your room is located vs where you're able to find a spot.

There was an extra sitting area in the room with a sofa and coffee table, not just the two beds and a desk, which was very nice. The fridge, microwave, and coffee maker in the room were a life saver for my travel companion who has a lot of food allergies. The continental breakfast was much more expansive than implied by the name- they had cheese omelettes, sausage, French toast, biscuits and gravy- much more than the basic coffee, juice, and packaged pastries that one usually thinks of. The pool and hot tub are open from 8am to 10pm so we were in them every morning and at least one night. It is located near many restaurants and shops so it was very easy to find whatever you want or need nearby within walking distance.

First of all, I was skeptical coming into my first visit to Sacramento and the area but the place exceeded my expectations! Hotel rooms are so well maintained, service is great, and towels are placed in each room accordingly to the reservation no hassle ordering more; overall had a great stay, and I would definitely keep this place in mind next time if visiting Sacramento! was a short stay for a night but definitely worth the pay for what they charge, great management team!! at breakfast, had great conversations! Thank you for maintaining the hotel as you do!

Spacious room and comfy bed. Note that the entire floor is vinyl flooring or hardwood, NOT carpet. I experienced a quiet night and slept like a baby (but I also drove all day). The front desk staff (a young woman and young man) were very courteous and answered the few questions I had. Kudos to them for making me feel welcome. They serve free breakfast early in the morning.

This is more for others, but do note that a part of the property didn’t appear to have an elevator - just stairs (to the left of the Front Desk) up to rooms on that building’s second floor. The shower head water pressure was weaker than I’m used to.

Breakfast was very good, and had choices or hot or cold items sufficient for most people and families. The breakfast egg omelet had either cheese of was a Spanish's type. I took the sausage and cut it up and had really good biscuit and gravy with the extra sausage. I was a happy camper. And coffee and apple juice. The views from the rooms are parking lots, businesses etc. There was a homeless individual we noticed next door sleeping as we had a late flight arriving after midnight and the entire town was quiet and peaceful.

No elevator Parking was limited at 2 am arrival.

The breakfast was absolutely perfect, can't get any better than that. You have a option of healthy or regular. I ate egg white omelette, fresh fruit, yogurt, and black coffee. My husband ate fresh waffles, eggs, sausage, potatoes with gravy. The next day he had french toast, bacon, egg omelette, with orange juice,and I had biscuit with sausage gravy, eggs , fresh fruit, and coffee . The location is awesome, very quiet , access to restaurants across the street, and shopping plaza. The staff are absolutely on point, the best ever, amazing personality . They made me, and my husband feel welcome, and like we were at home, Lisa Swanson, Mr. Swanson, Lilly, Kylen, and Guillermo, They were absolutely amazing. I will be planning another trip for July, and hope to see the staff again. Whenever me and my husband plan a trip to Sacramento we stay at the Arden star hotel 🌟. We love this place.

The staff were amazing - very friendly and helpful. Complimentary breakfast was excellent and honestly the best breakfast sausages we've ever had. The bed was very comfortable. It was wonderful to swim whenever we wanted to! During our week long stay we swam in the morning, afternoon and evenings, as well as soaked in the hot tub.

The room wasn't entirely clean: there was a sticky substance on the floor near the couch, also a bit of hair and a few clear rhinestones on the bathroom floor. The hot tub could use a good cleaning, as there seems to be sort of a green algae or something on the sides and the jets do not all have the same pressure; one jet area has too much and some have little or none. It would be nice to have a hot plate in the room and/or bbqs on the premises. That being said, we'd stay there again.
