The service at the front desk was great. It smelled amazing inside the lobby! The room was so cute, loved the unique and quirky design of the hotel.

When I arrived to valet my vehicle, I was told they could not valet a truck. I had called earlier in the day to ask about parking and was never informed that a truck could not be valeted. However, the man at the front desk was very apologetic and was able to find me a great parking spot.

The restaurant seemed nice. I liked the proximity to Old Town. I liked being able to take the marble stairs up to my room. The bathroom was large, which I enjoyed.

I did not eat the breakfast since it was an extra cost. I could hear music playing into the night, which I think was coming from the restaurant downstairs. That was unfortunate. A community microwave was on the 3rd floor; that was inconvenient. The elevators were small. The TV services were not included - they required my own password. I wish the hotel provided a streaming service login.

I love the decor of the hotel as a whole. From the lobby to the elevators to the hallways to the rooms, everything feels carefully thought of and attended to. Luxurious and fresh. The front desk staff was very accommodating and warm.

I felt a bit worried about parking my car with the valet, they stated that the car would be in a public lot and not a secure garage. But when my car arrived, all was good.

it was so beautiful I wish I could’ve stayed longer, I had a king size room it was nice, a bit smaller than I thought it would be but other than that it was very nice and comfortable, I will definitely be booking a bigger room to experience more of this beautiful hotel :)

i wish the hotel rooms had tv dinner tables like the foldable mini tables to eat for the smaller rooms because I ate on the floor and watched a movie so I wouldn’t stain the bed with my food lol

Location is excellent and very close to Old Town. The hotel is very nicely decorated and was comfortable.

I had asked twice for a confirmation for early check-in but did not get a response. I would have appreciated a confirmation so that I could better plan (traveling with toddlers is hard). In the end, I was able to check in early so it worked out but communication could have been improved beforehand.

l loved the bldg, the stairwell, the lobby! Its a beautiful building. The staff deserve extra stars for kindness, generosity, and that includes the valet staff. We enjoyed our room, cooling worked well which was necessary in summer and we slept well. Another important point.

We should have asked ahead whether Sacramento was still rebuilding, reworking streets. That led to more costs for the car and taxis, managing our meals differently, and we didn't handle that ahead of time. Beware of construction!

The building was beautiful and we appreciated the preservation of the original features of the building. Customer service was great! Vivian was very attentive and warm and welcoming. The space was clean and the bed was super comfortable. We did not stay long but enjoyed the short time we were there.

We did not eat because the restaurant was closed and since we are vegan there was not any clearly labeled food that was for vegans on the room service menu. We look forward to the menu being more inclusive.

When we first arrived I was greeted with valet. They gave me the old school historical vibe when hotels had doorman. They greeted and opened the doors. I arrived before check in and they were ready for me when I got there. I did not have to wait or come back. The manager Donald and his staff made us feel special for it was our 18 year anniversary ❤. We went to get our bags out the car, we didn't use valet, and came into a surprise. Donald,the manager, put a bottle of wine in our room to help celebrate our anniversary. I never had that experience before and I was impressed. They called the room to make sure everything was good and satisfactory. We slept well and breakfast was brought to our door hot and ready to eat. When we checked out Donald ask how my visit was and I said great. He genuinely made us feel like we mattered. I will definitely stay there again. Money well spent. This hotel is in walking distance of old sacramento. No need to drive to eat. Just walk.

I didn't like how the breakfast worked. Although it was good it was a little pricey.

Bed was one of the most comfortable I've ever experienced. Marble-lined shower was wonderful: nice and hot, good pressure. Soaps and shampoo provided were very nice and definitely a cut above what I'm used to in hotels. good supply of electrical and USB outlets.

No bathtub. No microwave, despite the room having a refrigerator. Windows could not be opened. Decor (my room had the blue color scheme) was rather cold and off-putting, especially when contrasted with the elegant beauty of the historic exterior. Whole interior, especially the public areas, was permeated with a strong minty smell-some sort of strong cleaning fluid or perfume-which I found quite overpowering and unpleasant.

Very cool and newly renovated building that provided for a nice stay. Room was very clean and had in room coffee that was appreciated in the morning. My boyfriend found the bed the perfect amount of firmness and lead to a great sleep! Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Only having valet parking was a little bit of a bummer, but there is a parking garage just a few hundred feet down the street for an extra charge per night. There was quite a bit of street noise from the 6th floor, but we still mostly had a nice night sleep.
