The manager was lovely and helpful and we got a light breakfast each morning which we weren't expecting. The bed was very comfortable and the accomodation was very clean. We had everything we needed for a smaller budget, and most importantly being in the Fisherman's Wharf location, close to many restaurants and a couple of blocks walking distance to Pier 39 and Pier 33 Alcatraz ferry. We had great views from our room too of parts of the city.

The room was quaint, but very tired decor which could do with updating. The hotel is located on a busy intersection of road, and has original single glazed windows which meant there was no sound barrier, but the chemist opposite sells earplugs which helped us sleep. You get what you pay for and we really enjoyed our stay. It was a great base for all local attractions.

Room and carpets smelled rather musty

We had the best time while visiting the San Francisco. This hotel met all our needs for price and location. We were within walking distance to North Beach, Chinatown, The Wharf and Ghirardelli. The parking was a plus - easy in and out. We walked to the grocery store and Starbucks (2 blocks). We stayed on the 3rd floor - be prepared to carry your luggage upstairs or since it's situated in a hillside - roll up the sidewalk and enter the 3rd floor that way too. We had a view of Coit Tower (AWESOME). Walgreens is on the opposite corner of the hotel and opened late!! Hands down we will stay here again when travelling to The Bay Area. Best value for a place to lay your head when exploring San Francisco. You are also about 2 blocks from one of the Cable Car turnarounds at Taylor!!!!

Hotel is older and could use some updates.

Very basic but met our needs. Great price, great location. Nice size room. We were very happy with our choice. It was convenient to pier 39. We could also walk to pier 33 for Alcatraz tour & china Town. Had parking lot for car ($25) making it easier for us. Staff nice & helpful. Surprisingly included daily maid service. Comfortable bed....thick towels.

Parking lot tight. Didn't realize we had to pay for parking....but worked out coz we didn't have to look for someplace to park.

Close to the Fisherman's Wharf which is where I wanted to be. Although the room was small is was very clean and excellent warm water pressure.

The bedspread and blanket were very thin and there wasn't any extras in the room. I don't think there was a dial tone on the phone but it definitely did not have a template with the housekeeping, etc.

The host and hostess at travel lodge was very professional and warm, very helpful.The location was great , right on the corner of the hotel had two bus lines, three blocks away for the cable cars.I would recommend this hotel in a heart beat.I also felt very safe at the hotel which was very important to me as a solo traveler.

The carpeting in the room could use a good cleaning.

The Manager was a delight - so helpful and friendly. The room was spacious and had all amenities I required.

The furnishings have a bit of an old look, but for the price, I would not expect more - and I would prefer the rates to be kept low than to have more bling. Everything that was necessary was there. I enjoyed my stay very much.

The location was perfect. A short walk put us at first cable car line. we rode to end, changed to another line and arrived back to within a block of Travelodge. No street noises. Kind and informative clerk.

Everything about the room was worn and dated. carpet worn out. bed old and lumpy. water would not completely turn off. Paint peeling. Nats flying around.

Location

This is the 2nd Travelodge I have stayed in, in the last 2 weeks and they just seem old and glued together. The first one I was in, c was in Florida and the room I got had dead bugs in the bed, pillows, towels and on the phone. They don't seem very clean, probably won't pick Travelodge again to stay at.

Management & housekeeping staff EXCELLENT!! They went out of their way to make me feel comfortable!

The price but affordable for San Francisco
