fantastic location. clean, well presented hotel. staff all very kind and helpful.

minor annoyance but the extra $34 charge is frustrating. the things it is supposed to cover should be included in the cost of the room.

The location was great and within walking distance of Fisherman's wharf. The bed was very comfortable. Coffee and tea is provided in the lobby every morning.

Upon checking in to our original standard room it was clear we wouldn't have enough space for our three night stay with 4 pieces of luggage between 2 of us. There was barely any room to walk around the bed and only a tiny wardrobe. Luckily there was availability for a larger room so we paid $50 per night extra and had much more space. This new room was on the main street which was very loud, so bring ear plugs if you are a light sleeper.

The location was fantastic and transport links were directly outside (buses) - trams were two streets away. Amenities were close by too. The rooms were a good size and the beds very comfortable. The porters were super helpful and did everything to make you feel welcome. The restaurant was also fantastic - just make sure you book in advance. Great coffee and free papers in the morning

Some noise at 4am as staff in the restaurant below our room seemed to be moving tables around (which happened most mornings). Leaving a full mini bar and cuddly toys in the room to tempt you to part with more money

I liked that we were close to Fishermans Wharf but a few blocks away. The room was big and spacious and clean. Close to lots of attractions or just to get to the cable cards, hop on hop off busses for tours or Alcatraz Port 33. Very centrally located. We were warned about the safety issues in SF but although there were many homeless people, we did not feel unsafe. Just use common sense and don't be walking around late at night. Close to a CVS or Trader Joes to pick up stuff for day trips.

Charging for water seemed excessive. First day when we had coffee in the lobby there was milk only to find out the next day the standard was creamer. That was a big let down for us as we don't use creamer - especially in tea. You should keep the milk carafe out for the guests. Other reviews talked of road noise if you had a road facing room. Ours was and it was noticeable. I found you could hear everything outside - people yelling or talking, street sweepers that go by every other morning at 4am. That was a turn off for us.

The room was clean and pleasant. The location worked well for our stay, and provided an excellent walking route to the SS Jeremiah O'Brien for our all day Fleet Week cruise. The front desk and parking attendants are extremely accomodating. The front desk staff organized, and the parking attendants faciliated our ability to stow our bags in a locked area, and park all day after check-out. The resturant is pleasant and dinner on Friday evening was quite good (far better than the typical wharf fried food!) Thank you to all at the Hotel Zoe!

Two of the front desk staff (at Friday evening check in and Saturday morning check out) appeared a tad harried and perhaps annoyed by my questions and requests.

Excellent location 5 min walk from the seafront and ferries. Clean and comfortable room, good beds. We slept very well. Professional and responsive staff. Luggage storage is a plus. They offer bikes for rental, one hour for free - we had unpleasant incident with the rental company who wouldn’t agree to the free hour though, eventually it worked but we had to complain and hotel followed it up

Bathroom could be bigger and lighting for the shower/wc area independent from the sink which has no door to the bedroom - basically every time one goes to wc bright lights are on also outside disturbing people in bed. Conditions for bike rental should be better explained. Public underground parking just next door much cheaper and also safe.

Location is fab! Great to be beside Trader Joes and the Wharf is amazing. Staff were excellent- super friendly, doorman greeted us back every time we entered. Lobby was clean and nice to have coffee and water! Beds were comfy, lots of towels, good air con, great to have TV channels, bathroom nice and clean!!!

Room was a bit smaller than I pictured when booking. Carpet was a bit outdated, and would have preferred a microwave in the unit, probably my own fault as I did not select it at booking tho!

Location was wonderful! Though small, the room was very cute and comfortable. Very clean!

Very nice hotel. Rooms were on the small side, but very clean and comfortable. Patio with gas fireplaces and blankets a nice bonus. A great spot to bring your own drinks. Great restaurant on site too.

Would have been nice to have coffee in the room, however they did free coffee in the lobby each morning.

The check in was great. The valet took care of our car but failed to note the exact charges. The girl at the desk was very pleasant and friendly and helpful. The room was nice with a good view. The bed was comfy.

We were in the central outside area set up for relaxing and the lights were turned of at 10 pm while 4 of us (2 couples) were sitting there drinking wine. When it happened we were surprised. I looked around and saw a man looking out of the window in the door marked for maintenance so he knew we were out there but chose to just turn off the lights. I walked over to the door and he just turned and walked away. I doubt we would stay at this hotel again just for him being so rude. Really angered all of us. We were having a good time then at an unreasonable time he turned off the lights without warning. 10pm, while on vacation. He/Hotel Zoe chose to end our good time. Never again. I work for an airline and our travel site will hear about this.
