Brisas Del Mar Inn at the Beach

I stayed at this hotel with 7 other friends (4 rooms) and we all loved it. The beds were comfortable and the dressing room was a great bonus to have when one of us wanted to get up early. The linens were also very nice. We really had everything we needed. Having a pool and small workout room was great but what we enjoyed the most were the free bikes and the breakfast. Not having to go out for breakfast and having good healthy choices and an inviting place to gather in the main building was terrific. The staff was both friendly and accommodating and the location - just a few blocks from the ocean - was super convenient.

Nothing really. That said, I feel that the price was high. Some of our friends stayed at a more upscale place for not much more than we paid.

Loved the staff- they were so nice. Loved the fantastic breakfast, loved having coffee all day, happy hour every afternoon walking distance to harbor and pier and State Street. The actual rooms have a very retro motel vibe but are spacious and comfortable. Shutters on the window were great for privacy which is needed with the way the motel style walkway is set up.

The photos in the listing give a different impression of what it will be like- reality is less “grand” and it is not quite at the beach- the pool is very small but we felt we had it to ourselves a lot which made up for it. Still loved staying here and highly recommend it!! But better to know what you are getting. It was expensive but the staff and the treats and breakfast were a great perk. Room was difficult to get to with several stairways. The staff did not offer to bring the luggage to the room which was odd.

I chose it because it was reasonably priced compared to other hotels. It was walking distance to the beach and downtown. We barely used our car once we arrived since we could bike or walk everywhere we wanted to go. The room was very clean, the hotel furnished robes, and free champaign. Not only did the hotel furnish a nice breakfast, they also provided wine and cheese in the afternoon and tea, coffee and cookies at night. We had a very comfortable stay.

we enjoyed the property. Room was better than expected and very comfortable. The bathroom was spacious and had a nice touch with robes. We loved the pool and plenty of different sitting areas.

The breakfast was horrible. We tried it the first morning and the rest of our stay we had to go out for breakfast. The pastries were dry and stale, yogurt parfait tasted old, coffee was the worsted we ever had at a hotel. For the price we paid for our room we expected a lot better.

Staff were friendly and helpful with everything. I lived that I was able to charge my electric car once I arrived from my 5 hour drive. Breakfast included organic hard boiled eggs and homemade salsa that was absolutely delicious! The location was great and we were able to walk to everything once we arrived.

A little unneeded noise from the bachelorette group staying that weekend as well but wasn’t too bad.

all of the employees were lovely from start to finish. very welcoming and made me feel very comfortable! The breakfast was a great bonus, plenty to choose from. the room itself was very clean and spacious. we got a king suite and had a full kitchen , with water and champagne inside. it was walking distance to the pier & other restaurants. The hotel was also next to a gas station and 7 11 which was very convenient.

We staying as a group of 10. We travelled around California and we all said that this was the most enjoyable stay. The staff was extremely friendly, they couldn’t do enough for us. The little extras that they also provide, free bike hire that went down a treat. In the evening there was wine which was very tasty. Plus free snacks and breakfast included. Throughout the day they had fresh water so you could keep refreshed. Our children absolutely loved this place, especially swimming until 9pm in the evening whilst the adults chilled out on the loungers with a takeaway and a glass of red. We 100% recommend this place to anyone that is staying in Santa Barbara for the most perfect stay and in the best location. Thank you to all of the staff you made our trip most enjoyable.

The location (2 blocks from the shore and walkable to Stearns Beach) was nice. The room was well appointed, and the bed had a firm mattress, which is our preference.

The shower head had either water control or was bad because there was hardly any water pressure. The location of the tissue roll is behind the seat at an awkward angle making it difficult to reach. They didn't have hot breakfast ("COVID" reasons), which made no sense because inside dining is open in CA. They gave "grab n go" breakfast everyday; however, one day the milk was spoilt. The breakfast amount was meager.

From check in to check out our experience here was fantastic. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The property is well-kept and rooms are much larger than I thought with a kitchenette included. They provide a free bottle of sparkling wine + happy hour downstairs late afternoon. Parking(free) available near the room for easy access to the car. Bikes(also free) available to get around which we did because parking can be difficult. I would highly recommend staying here!

The breakfast but I still think it’s nice they offer it. Its just not stuff I personally eat.

Cleanliness of room and complex, comfort of the bed and pillows, size of the room, bathroom and shower, breakfast was good and breakfast seating areas (inside and out) are nice, free access to bicycles, free parking and wifi, location is close to waterfront, garden was well tended.

Room 20 is in the back and a little dark. The decor in this room is dated, there are other rooms that appear to have been more recently updated. The outside carpet (stairwells and walkways) is very worn.
