Sonesta Denver Downtown

The breakfast was pretty good , although it alot of options. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room and hotel were clean. They also had sanitizing stations, which I appreciated. They are conveniently located to the 16th Street Mall amongst other attractions. We did alot of walking around. We only had a rental for a day so that we could go outside of the city and get back to the airport.

The only problem I had in my room was standing water at the bottom of the bathtub while taking a shower. I would also say the price for parking in their garage is a little steep as well.

Refer to a review I wrote parallel to this one for the room my wife and I had for info on facilities. This review to say what an amazing team they have working there and to especially thank Andrew for being an amazing human. I booked our stay for two rooms for two nights through booking.com. When reviewing Sonesta’s website prior to traveling I noticed they a Pride Month special offering a room with a gift bag and free parking and some food credit. Although we did not purchase this package, and came in to town the day after the pride parade celebration weekend, I sent an email to the hotel explains that we were traveling with our two teenage children, both of whom have come out to us as transgender and are in the earlier stages of learning who they are. I asked if they had any extra gift bags, that maybe my kids could have one left in their room for our arrival. Well, they surprised us with one bag for each kid and a nice handwritten note inside a card for them. The kids smiles and appreciation were special. As parents, it was pretty awesome to see your kids walk proudly in their own skin, feeling comfortable and safe in their space. Andrew remembered us throughout our stay, and each time I/we bumped into him he was warm and welcoming and smiling through his mask. We want to thank him with all our hearts. He even helped us extend our rooms for an extra night, even though they were booked up for the night and it appeared we wouldn’t be able to.

The staff was amazing and very accommodating. Upon arrival, our AC was already on to keep the room cool. The view from our room was exceptional, we were situated on the 21st floor. Although we were situated towards the back, we still had an amazing view of the Empower stadium. The hotel is within walking distance of the 16th Street Mall. There is plenty of selection as far as food choices. We would definitely choose this place to stay again

The bathroom could use more lighting. And possibly a fan. Also, we had trouble with cold water in the shower. Water would get so hot, we had to nearly turn the knob all the way off to get the water cooler. Water pressure for showers could use more pressure.

The room was very clean. The bed was very comfortable, we did not use the pool but we went up and check it out, looked beautiful! it was very close to the zoo, stadium and six flags. and had its own parking garage only accessible by room key.

The building is very nice. Rooms are vety good. Valet parking worked perfect. Location.

Although the location was excellent, the Denver Downtown is a little scary.

Great location for exploring Denver. There is a parking garage right around the corner for $14 vs. $35 at the hotel.

I liked the amenities provided and it was super clean despite being in a pandemic. Great customer service , friendly staff, and it was in walking distance of major restaurants, malls and excursions. I would definitely return .

I wish there could’ve been a microwave , it would’ve saved us money with eating out.

I liked the restaurant/bar and the snack station. Rooms were nice and beds were comfortable. I loved that this was down the block from 16th street and near all of the shopping and restaurants. It was within walking distance of everything.

They charged 2 of my cards for the deposit and it was a long wait to get my deposits back.

Room was clean and everything worked. Location was close to the convention center and 16th street mall. A little far from union station. Pool was very nice and perfect for sunbathing and hanging out. During the times I was there it wasn't too crowded. Staff was really good and accommodating.

Fitness room is two different rooms and a little small.

Great location, well renovated modern and comfortable room, the best rate for secure parking and dog fee in the downtown area.

We were given a wifi code, but we had lost it, so when we called to get a new one, the guest service agent spent nearly 30min trying to tell us the log in and it wasn't working at all. We ended up using our mobile data, which was annoying. Kind of a stupid process, they should just have a password... It was a pet friendly hotel and there wasn't an area to take your dog out to use the bathroom. We ended up having to walk about 15 min to a patch of grass. Understandably because it is a city, but there should be a green space for a dog friendly hotel.
