it has a contemporary design. but I mainly liked the staff.

i made a longer booking with home suite but when I wanted to move directly from one room to another the lady at reception refused. however when I went down and another guy was there with a beard he graciously let me stay in the room till the other room was ready. it’s these small things that make an impression. also when I requested for a higher room this same lady said she could give me just the 17th floor. i asked if I should wait for a higher floor but she said no rooms were available. then a little later I asked the lovely Aisha and she gave me a room on the 20th. all this was unnecessary and the lady should know how to make a guest feel welcome.

The hotel is central to 16th Mall Street which is good but there's a lot of building work in progress and like many cities Covid has affected footfall so not all the premises are occupied. But it was close to Union station and there's a free Mall bus that runs up 15th Street and down 14th parallel to 16th which is handy. Union station is where a lot of trips pick up from and the excellent airport light rail service runs from there. The breakfast was OK but the cutlery supplied was plastic which I thought was poor. Room was comfortable we were on the 17th floor so had a good view south of the city.

The plastic cutlery and the air conditioning was noisy even on a low fan setting but we were able to sleep without in on overnight.

We were caught in an expected, torrential rain, and as we entered the hotel, dripping wet, we were offered towels which were so appreciated and they have washer and dryer’s, which allowed us to dry everything that got soaking wet what we had on and what was in our bags, we only stayed one night, but we were very comfortable .

Having a restaurant in the hotel would’ve been perfect since we got in kind of late, and the weather was terrible… We could’ve called Grubhub so we wouldn’t have starved …

Rooms were nice, loved the complimentary shampoo, conditioner, body wash, ect. Perfect location for shopping and ball arena

Got my rooms thru booking.com. the rate was ALOT cheaper then booking through the hotel itself. They tried to charge me for the difference but I fought it. Before checking out I checked my account and they charged me anyways. Had to go back down and request a refund for the difference. Worked in my favor so it wasn't a huge deal but definitely frustrating

It was so clean and welcoming. Loved it !

Someone fell in the lobby because of a big spill, I went to the desk and let them know. A manager was there and he was annoyed more than anything. He called people but was super rude to the girl who fell I felt so bad for her but he was super rude. Uncalled for. He was young and had dark hair with a smaller build.

Good breakfast, good location

Love the commitment to reducing plastic and waste by using large shampoo bottles, etc, but the effect is negated by giving everyone 2 plastic water bottles and chips on check in. Can you instead provide a water dispenser if the tap water is not considered adequate?

The location was great. We were able to walk to great shopping & restaurants. Our room was comfortable and clean.

The breakfast was a little chaotic and not well maintained. The pancake machine was empty and took a while for someone to refill. Lots of garbage and dirty dishes piled up at the bus stations.

I love the modern interior of the lobby. There's warm wood accents everywhere, that gives the location a comfortable and inviting feeling. It was relaxing to sit in the lobby and view the city through the windows. It's a beautiful view. The staff are personable and welcoming. They were all a pleasure to speak with and the check-in process was smooth and I was provided with a welcoming gift. The rooms are cozy, with a modern feel, and the bed/pillows are comfortable The bathroom was clean with good water pressure. The checkout process was hassle free.

The breakfast was good - something for everyone and had all the standard fare. The beds were comfy and the folks at the front desk were very kind.

The room was a bit small, the bathroom was a little small, and the elevators were always full or slow to move. Generally though, it was close to everything and worth the value. Also seems to be no quiet area where my partner could take a call - the desk is in front of the bed so didn't work when we were both on business.

The gym facility is great, clean and rich of materials. Breakfast was good. The room very spacious and quite clean. Staff kind and friendly. I like that they do not redo the rooms daily - less waste of clean, usable towels.

It could be a bit more clean in the room, before the stay. More healthy and sustainable options at breakfast.
