Please kind this in mind when staying at this hotel. This is hotel is 90 years old and looks amazing for its age. They've done a great job at modernizing it. You have everything in the room from a decent size fridge to microwave and coffee. The gym is a decent size and has enough equipment to get good workout. I would honestly say that the staff was amazing and super helpful. I had issue with my room being too hot and both engineers were helpful and got the issue resolved. As for the location, it's pretty close to union station (about 15 min walk). 16th Mall street is right around the corner and you'll find all shops, Target, pharmacy etc. Breakfast was ok. It does the job.

Being an older hotel, I would say the heating was the issue for me. I was unable to control the temperature very well. Secondly, I prefer hard beds. My bed and pillows were to soft for me.

The room was very nice overall. Having a fridge (larger than a standard hotel mini-fridge) and microwave was great. I liked that the closet adjoined the bathroom. Lots of outlets by the bed! Breakfast options were very nice. I really wanted to partake of the sausage gravy, but went for the oatmeal. Staff was helpful and genial.

The wet bathroom plan was not a winner. The water on the floor in front of the sink made me nervous, even though intellectually I knew that the tile was non-slip even with water. The carpet in the adjoined closet area was a little damp.

This is our first time that we arrived in Denver and beautiful state Colorado. We are from Malaysia. I wrote to the hotel that we hope to have the nicest room, and they gave us on 21st Floor. Though we could not see the mountain view but we could see the skyscraper. That is beautiful. The housekeeper left us with extra lotions which is very sweet since we only asked for 1 but I think she knew, internationals are not used to the dry weather in Denver. The hotel location is great, a bit of a walk for 11yrs old, but that's not bad at all. Very near to the 16th Street and also very near to the halal restaurant called Pita Fresh. The food is good there. IHG is also generous with drinking water too. They knew we need to drink a lot of water at this mile high city. The location is also near to the Brown Palace Hotel which is very classic.

The room is a bit small with 2 beds. I think if we could just get 1 bed since I am sharing with my daughter so we could have some space for us to put our luggage a little space to pray.

Due to a water main break at the Holiday Inn, we were "upgraded" to the historic Brown Palace Hotel across the street. The Brown Palace staff was very friendly, and the holiday atmosphere inside was fun.

I do wish we would have been told of the issue and given the choice if we wanted to stay at the Brown Palace or cancel our reservation. The room we got had a single bed (there were three in my group) even though the original booking was for two beds. The Brown Palace did bring us a "roll away" bed, but it was small and very uncomfortable. Also, the room had issues like poor water pressure in the shower and broken doors to the bathroom. I will stay at the Holiday Inn Express again. It's a great value, an awesome location in Downtown Denver, and my past stays have been enjoyable. I just ask for better communication if there are changes to the booking.

Before we arrived I read some reviews and was a little concerned I had booked this hotel. The reviews had not been great. Our time in the US was divided into 4 hotels and this was our last stay for 3 nights. One of the hotels we stayed in was a very prestigious hotel costing 4 times as much as we paid for the Holiday Inn and I can say was more impressed with the cleanliness and value of the Holiday Inn Express Denver Downtown. We arrived and I asked if we could be on a high floor for the view and we were then given a room on 21st floor. The room was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. Everyday we had housekeeping all the other hotels used the 'we are short-staffed so housekeeping is not provided daily quote'. Breakfast was lovely and staff were visible to assist and keep everything topped up. I loved the biscuits and gravy as this was something I wanted to try coming from UK and this was the only hotel that provided us this. On checkout I told the staff member whom then turned out to be the manager our feelings on how impressed we had been and it then transpired she explained had been sent in 6 months ago to improve standards, well done I say totally good job!

All the hotels we stayed in in the US seem to use much unnecessary single use plastic such as plastic cutlery which are thrown away. More recycling needed! However the Holiday inn does use refillable Dove toiletries in the shower rather than the little complimentary toiletry bottles that other hotels use that are a complete waste of plastic so well done on this too.

Clean and in close proximity for our event. Staff was friendly and facility looked nice.

paying for parking. I mean you drive there and pay handsomely for staying there, then shouldn't I be allowed to park there?

Breakfast in the holiday inn is always good, the food is always fresh and there are multiple options. The room was very clean and localization was actually the best part of my stay in Denver. Less than 10 minutes walking of the Convention Center.

There was no hand soup in the bathroom, and in the next day, even after the room service, it was not provided. But I did not affect much the quality of my stay.

THE BATHROOM AND SHOWER UNIT WERE VERY SMALL. WHEN I ENQUIRED AT THE FRONT DESK ABOUT A TAXI I WAS ADVISED TO USE UBER.THIS WAS NO GOOD FOR ME AS A VISITOR TO THE USA UBER WANTED ME TO JOIN FOR $9.99. NO OTHER TAXI SERVICE WAS OFFERED YET YOUR MAN WHO WAS RUNNING THE VALET PARKING GAVE ME A LOCAL TAXI NUMBER AND THIS TAXI CAME WITHIN MINUTES
