The check in was exceptional, front desk very nice and helpful after a not so great experience at a near by resort. We were able to book online in about 2 mins and less than 20 mins later we were in our awesome room ! The room was a great location, comfortable, nice and cool upon check in. Restaurant and Bar was great, great food options and service. Both pools were nice and clean and the beach exceptional !

The pool area could have been supervised possibly. The kids with their parents not watching them , allowing them to scream at the top of their lungs and go into the pool area unsupervised smacking around the noodles at 7 AM . We have grandchildren so I know how they are but parents to step it up and determine what is acceptable behavior, the resort is not a kids camp and I wish people would be mindful of the fact that others are also on well deserved vacations I am not sure how you could make this better unless you had an adult only pool at a different area of the property. We had to retreat to the beach because it was so bad and we really just wanted to relax at the pool... So if you are looking to relax at the pool, its probably not going to happen .

This was our second stay at the Islander Resort and we absolutely love it there. We do not have to leave the property for anything if we did not want to. There are multiple pools, and the beach (more for views than to play on as the sand is more like gravel, but that doesn't bother us), there are two restaurants (a little pricey), in room mini kitchenette, lanai, etc. This resort leaves little to be desired. We will be back again, it's become a favorite for us!

The only thing that could use improvement is the Wi-Fi and cell signal. They are not very good, surprisingly, as there is a cell tower nearly on the property. The on-site food is a bit pricey, but that's expected at a resort.

The resort is amazing. The staff is very helpful and accommodating, while the amenities are fantastic. It's a great place to unwind and grab a slice of paradise. The value is superb and we are very glad we booked our stay here. There is plenty to do and the free rentals and classes are a great bonus. My wife took part in a jewelry making class and I got schooled in some basketball by some much younger boys. Then we both cooled off with a dip in one of their pools.

The location itself isn't exactly ideal. The area around the hotel isn't that walkable, although you may find it more walkable than other locations. Restaurants around the hotel are somewhat limited and the beach itself, while nice, can vary in quality based on the weather.

Very friendly and accommodating staff and beautiful grounds. Spacious room with lanai. Very comfortable bedding and good quality bathroom amenities even though the bathroom vanity was small. We enjoyed the on-site kayaking as well as the bike availability.

The website said “Elements” restaurant would be open for dinner Wednesday through Sunday so imagine our surprise when we walked over and found it to be closed for our entire stay! Wish one of the pools would be designated as “Adults only” since it was tiresome to navigate kids throwing balls in the pool. Also our lanai could have been nicer if the small area where the A/C drip line and electric is located wasn’t visible. This unsightly area takes away from the otherwise nice ambiance.

The kayaks were free and no time limits for use of them, location of our room was close to everything on resort grounds, breakfast was AMAZING at Elements restaurant and our waitress was super nice. Front desk staff were friendly and welcoming. Pools were clean, rooms were even cleaner and the views of the ocean were fantastic. The freedom to do what you wanted was reasonable also!

My wife experienced some issues with the bartenders at Tides Bar and Grill. They weren’t very nice and displayed their agitation of taking her drink order. My wife is extremely sweet and she also is a bartender so she understands the job very well and the female bartender working Wednesday evening wasn’t too busy to be friendly. Also Elements restaurant wasn’t open for dinner which wasn’t explained at the start of our stay so we had to make dinner plans elsewhere which ended up being a a great change of plans so no huge complaint there but still would have been nice to know so I can plan ahead for my disabled mom.

We loved the private villa and beach areas. The landscaping was done beautifully. Our beach view from the front patio was amazing and the staff was awesome!! Ask loves that we had a fridge and microwave - a real coffee maker would have been heaven!

We didn’t like the restaurants and due to health issues cannot have caffeinated coffee. They did not offer decaf coffee which was a real bummer. The food served at the property was bland and overpriced. Go offsite for food!! The couch and bed were also not comfortable. It would also have been nice to have an adult pool :)

The rooms were very spacious and comfortable. Having the golf cart shuttle was fun, convenient, and very helpful. Loved Tides for breakfast, delicioys fruit bowl and great Aesthetics 👍 the staff all around were very kind and professional!!

The pools were smaller and more shallow than expected. Construction was going on, so it took away from the " tropical" look that they have going on, but that can't be helped. We expected a little more room to swim in the ocean, it was very hot and not very engaging. The inflatable cabanas were $400 a day to rent.

location and the restaurant staff

Othe whole very good with just a few little annoyances. The reception staff were cold and insincere on the three occasions we interacted with them. Annoyed by lack of help getting the front doors open and our cases inside, and when leaving, the inability to extend checkout by 2 hours. When my wife asked if she could shower when we left she was told the outside shower by the pool was available. So I advised my wife to shower naked there and see how that went down. Luckily she has more sense. The room was good but the bathroom was ridiculously small. We won’t be going back to this hotel

The atmosphere around the entire resort was relaxing and fun. The scenery with all the trees and foliage, cobblestone paths were beautiful. The included activities like kayaks, ping pong tables etc. on premise were fun for myself and my teen sons. The food and drinks at both the restaurants were delicious. Staff were friendly. Our room was spacious and clean.

The beds were hard for my liking. I wish the shuttle went more than 1.5 mile radius! Those are my only complaints.
