The motel was super clean and completely exceeded my expectations. The front desk staff were helpful and friendly. They went out of the way to find us karaoke on 2 different nights. The house keeping staff was friendly and accommodating. The bed was comfortable. The shower was hot and had great water pressure. Great location and centrally located to all that we wanted to do. We booked through booking.com and we got an amazing deal.

The building is older and in need of some cosmetic repairs inside and out, but it did not detract from our stay at all.

The Sea Dell is in Marathon, about equidistant south to Key West and north to Key Largo. Marathon itself has a great number of excellent attractions, including one of the nicest beaches on the Keys (Sombrero). Although the Sea Dell feels like a tropical oasis due to its quaint vibe and old-school landscaping, it is actually within walking distance of the Publix supermarket (with a great salad bar selection), along with many other stores and restaurants. Publix plus the Sea Dell kitchen-type amenities saved us big bucks on food all week long.

Although the room showed some signs of wear and tear, these weren't enough to detract from its overall homey feel. IT was a welcome change from the sterile atmosphere of many a cookie-cutter place.

We (party of 4 over 2 rooms) thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I had contacted the hotel to see id they could facilitate an early check in and they were able to, which was great! Rooms were so clean, beds super comfy, water pressure was excellent and facilities were ideal (fridge, microwave and coffee pot in rooms as well as the smallest but most powerful hairdryer ever!!!). The motel is typical mom and pop style and is a little dated but we were very happy with our stay. The pool on our 2nd night (which we had to ourselves) was a welcome reprieve from our day in Key West. Proximity to Sombrero Beach, Seven Mile Bridge as well as numerous restaurants, Publix, etc makes it an ideal base for touring The Keys. We even got pastries in Publix and coffee in McDonalds and had breakfast alfresco in the communal garden (ehich had BBQs) on our 2nd day. Staff were very helpful and friendly.

Pillows and towels weren't the best, although plentiful.

We had a great time at Sea Dell. It's not a luxury hotel but that's not what I was looking for. I was looking for affordable, comfort and a cold air conditioner after a great day at the beach. It's not waterfront but they let you use their sister motel . It has a private beach for fishing and swimming. My family had a great time and Chris and the others were very helpful on telling us where the great spots were to eat and have fun. We will definitely be back in the future. Thank you Sea Dell!!

Very very comfortable mattress. Air conditioning was great. Had everything we needed. Loved the easy access to the lights on the wall over the bed and the dimmer switches. Bright and pretty. Smelled fresh and clean. Great locals restaurant right across the street called The Cracked Conch. Felt very safe there. Close to the Sombrero Beach. Friendly staff available at all hours. Also very affordable. We had a TV,microwave, and frig, and table,and easy chair. Also had chairs and table outside our door. We had King room number 9. Stayed Feb. 2023.

The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. Not only did they make recommendations, they let me use charcoal for the grill at no extra charge. The two desk clerks I interacted with were very kind and generous.

One of the cleaning staff got into an argument with someone on the phone during cleaning. It was a little uncomfortable as I was standing right there grilling. It must have been an isolated incident as she was back the next day acting normally. Everyone has bad days.

I liked where our room was located near shade and the great parking space. The best part was being able to bring my small pets. They welcomed my babies with open arms. The staff was very friendly and provided me with extra towels, etc. on request. You can't beat the price or the location to shopping, dinning, and a great beach.

The only thing that was disappointing was the ice machine was out of order and the bed was a little uncomfortable.

bed was very comfortable, bathroom was clean and upgrades have kept this quaint 1950's motel desirable for future stays . great location to all restaurants and beaches and grocery stores. Housekeeping provided clean towels daily. Pool was clean, even though there are signs of wear-and-tear and water temperature was prefect, not too hot and not too cold.

the towels needs to be replaced. They are very thin and stiff.
