The staff was very accommodating and kind, made us feel at home. Our room was comfy, the breakfast quiche was yummy and the location was perfect for our overnight trip to just get away, slow down and enjoy a nice bike ride around a historic downtown area, next time we're bringing our paddle boards and will plan to take the ferry to Cumberland island!

The shower in 306 is a bit snug but we didn't mind, just a note to future guests if you want a regular size shower to ask about other rooms. Again, we didn't mind at all, we recommend this stay!

We were there after backpacking on cumberland island. We had the twin bed room. It is beautiful! Staff was wonderful! We sat on front porch and relaxed and laughed and had so much fun. Breakfast was quaint and enough , their homeade granola is absolutely delicious. Walking distance to everything and they let us store our packs while we explored town the next day waiting on a taxi. We will definitely come back.

Oh boy. I hate to mention this as I truly appreciate how tough the hotel and catering business can be. However...the 'breakfast" part of the arrangement is handled by a nearby cafe owned by the same people. It's not great. The food is mediocre, the coffee is below average . The waitress was cool though. Overall I feel this business might be struggling from a management aspect... I feel it needs a serious evaluation.

Beautiful, well maintained. Authentic antique flair. Tiffany was so sweet. She knew her guests and followed up on how their day went. Very personal touch. They will also make you a sack lunch for day trips to Cumberland island which were well priced, very tasty and put into a cooler bag ( you have to return this) so it stayed cold.

The room was a little cold and did not have individual control. There were, however, blankets readily available in the room for comfort.

This is a lovely old house with lovely old furnishings . The rug in room 306 made me smile when I thought of it still being used today and how lucky it was to be in such a cute old inn. The bed was very comfortable. Everything was clean. And...there is an elevator! so despite the years on this old house and this old lady we got along really well!! The desk clerk was very helpful. I met two wonderful people from Jacksonville and witnessed a budding young singer at the karaoke night down the block. I skipped breakfast in order to get on the road early but saw at least 4 groups partaking of the choices. Plenty of free parking. I would stay here again.

The breakfast was really great! We loved all the options they gave us for food. Service was great! The hospitality was kind, available, and resourceful. We liked the cute and intentional additions that they provided guests such as DVDs to watch in our room, refreshments available throughout the day (tea, water, cookies, etc.), and the personal touch of knowing who we were throughout the entire visit.

I wish that the room had a mini fridge to help keep our waters and other items cold. Also, there wasn’t a microwave accessible, which this would have been nice to use throughout our stay.

the location was fantastic. you could easily walk around the area without having to get in your car.

it seems the ceilings were thin and not well insulated as I could hear people walking around upstairs and in the hallway.

As always the food is excellent. It is a very beautiful and pleasant place to stay and within walking distance to local shops and restaurants as well as the ferry to Cumberland Island. I always love sitting on the veranda.

Paid booking.com for 3 people. Mary, the property owner, said it was only for two and I had to pay more. You have to make your breakfast order the night before and there aren’t any exceptions the next morning for add-on’s or changes. It was very hot in our room (75 degrees). We had a hard time sleeping. I’ve stayed here several times in the past and have always had a good experience. This time was not as pleasant.

The house is 158 years old, but updated & well decorated. The antiques throughout are exceptional. Air-conditioning was great & the breakfast was good, & served very conveniently. Staff was friendly & very accommodating.

There was nothing to complain about.
