Holiday Inn Express Boise Downtown, an IHG Hotel

The bed was amazing and I slept like a baby. The hotel was right near our destination so it was easy to get to the things we wanted to do. The breakfast was delicious and there was tons of seating options. Though I didn’t use it, the hotel had a game room which is a HUGE selling point for me. If I had kids and was staying longer, that would have been a perfect amenity.

The TV was a little outdated, so we just didn’t use it in general, especially since we had forgotten to bring our roku stick. The tub was small so when I took a bath, it was a bit tight.

The pancake machine was a big hit with my family (even for my husband who works with robots haha). The staff were very friendly and the frozen meals available for purchase in the lobby were a very welcome surprise given our post-midnight arrival (and lack of dinner after 7 hours of travel). It was easy to get a crib for the room and it's nice that it's an actual metal crib (rather than just a pack and play). There was a fridge in the room, which is handy if traveling with milk/supplies for a baby

Near the green belt. Nice walk into Boise. Lake nearby just to sit & take in the view. Laundromat on site.

Had to change dates & booking.com took days to contact the hotel. And when we came back from the trip Booking.com failed to advise the dates we were to return. Even though I put the info on Booking. com site. Had to rely on the good nature of the staff at the hotel to secure a room.

The breakfast was excellent!!! Always love the cinnamon rolls. Our room was great, in a quiet part of the hotel as requested and on the first floor as needed for my 87 year old Mother. Front Desk staff was great, the young man who checked us in gave a wonderful suggestion for a pizza place that was definitely delicious :D

I would have given a "10" for everything, except we requested an extra chair because there were 4 of us staying in the room with only one office chair, I was told there weren't any other chairs available? I found that to be odd, when there were banquet rooms and plenty of extra chairs in the breakfast dining area, the hotel wasn't that full/busy that we couldn't of been given an extra chair from one of these areas (I worked in the hotel/restaurant industry for 15 years, as a manager, we would always do what it took to make the guest happy and comfortable, I didn't think getting an extra chair was too much to ask).

Evening staff was wonderfully kind and hospitable - Christian went out of his way to assist us with finding parking for our two massive moving trucks & Caitlin (sp?) was so welcoming and charming in checking us in, which was just so surprisingly pleasant and real, especially after a long drive in after several hours. Room was comfortable, super clean, quality toiletries and spacious for my parents and my brother. Breakfast might be in my Top 5 - pancake machine, tortillas, turkey AND pork sausage, vegetarian options, cereal bar and Chobani Greek yogurt… spoil me!! Loved being able to walk along the Greenbelt in the AM + being conveniently close to the downtown area, either by car or on foot… and although I didn’t have time to utilize the gym or pool, they looked amazing! Also, apparently there’s a video game room… What else am I missing??

PM staff was such a memorable & feel good duo (in a genuine, authentic way) that once AM came, I was mildly disappointed by their difference in enthusiasm and consideration - as if my simple questions were an inconvenience/interrupting their own personal conversations. Either way, not a factor and would absolutely stay again!

The gals at the front desk were extremely helpful and friendly upon check in! They helped me with finding food as well. The breakfast area was really nice and roomy. The food looked amazing. I had the scrambled eggs and potatoes, andthere were things I could have on a lactose free diet. I loved the pool. It was 3 ft. the entire length, and a bit less wide than most pools, but the longest pool I've seen at a hotel. It made for great lap swimming. The room was large and looked appealing and clean. Because of the heat, I was able to get a bottle of water for free and I totally appreciated that gesture!!!

The guy at the desk at my early check out time couldn't remember how to use the printer. He was nice and helpful, but maybe new? I was a bit disappointed that I couldn't use the spa because I was alone. I understand with the way it is set up, but no one else was there, and it said in the rules not to use it alone. There is construction in the area, and there was a notice at the front desk warning guests and offering free earplugs. I left relatively early, but I had no issues with it. I left about 6 a.m.

Breakfast was fine. Lots of choices and friendly staff . Room was clean and quiet. Keurig coffee makers in rooms. Location is ideal for those needing hospital services at St. Luke's. Staff is always very pleasant. There is a decent Mexican restaurant across the parking lot. I left something in the room and they called to say they found it.

Elevators were grubby. Naugahyde headboards are disintegrating. No fan in bathroom.

There was a short wall just outside the bathroom. I walked out of the bathroom in the middle of the night and ran right into the wall because I wasn't using a light. Not sure why those walls are there but I'm sure I'm not the first person to walk into the wall. I had an abrasion on my cheek and a goose egg on my forehead.

The room was clean and comfortable. I don't normally spend more than $100 dollars on a room especially when I am just there to sleep. I was lazy and didn't feel like researching and chose this room for $115. It was well worth it. Breakfast spread was lovely and the layout was spacey, clean and comfortable.

I could hear people in the next room. Someone was coughing all night.

every single person that works here is amazing! my late night check in duo was the best! the staff refilling the breakfast was in top of it and super nice to everyone. I would stay here again for sure!

the parking fees. the parking spots are very very tight and I had to park both nights at the restaurant next door and walk over in the rain. they did waive the fees, but it still is silly to charge the rates for poor parking. it’s not even secured parking.
