Free parking was convenient & helpful! I was able to park right underneath the window of my room. The room was spacious, with a closet, full bath, and comfortable beds. 20 min walk to my conference at McCormick Place West. 10 min walk to delicious restaurants in Chinatown. 5 min drive to Illinois Tech/college area with funky indy breweries and eateries in nearby Bridgeport. I felt safe walking across the freeway overpass to Cermak Ave., etc. by myself.

Before booking, I read reviews saying the hotel water wasn't hot, and that it was too noisy to sleep. This was not true in my experience (Thurs.-Sat. night). Colleagues who stayed closer to downtown/Grant Park reported audible traffic and pedestrians late at night that interfered with their sleep. This hotel is located near a hospital, in a formerly industrial area that is becoming gentrified. I found no convenience stores or gas stations nearby. Parking in the courtyard felt safer than the fenced lot, but the entry door was usually locked/inaccessible from the outside, so I had to walk around to get inside the hotel. Staff members were always friendly & helpful. I would stay again.

The Asian & Black Lady working the front desk were the sweetest & Most professional staff I’ve ever experienced at a hotel in Chicago! You can tell they genuinely like to help people which is a rarity these days! They went above & Beyond for us ! It was a great find for the price and everything it included made it so worth it to stay there. We had an event at McCormick place and this hotel was at a convenient location being near Chinatown as well! We left behind some items and they were willing to not only go back and check for the left behind items but they nicely bagged them for us as well! Will definitely stay here again !

The lighting in our room could be a little better but it wasn’t a deal breaker as I still enjoyed my stay!

Due to the price and availability, I was scared when I booked this room, so my expectations were low. The room was pretty large, had a sitting area, and a mini fridge. Everything was very clean and exceeded my expectations! The beds were comfortable.The value was amazing. Close to Chinatown. FREE PARKING!!

Not enough negatives to make me book somewhere else for the price. Free breakfast would be a plus, and the location could be better. It would be nice if it was within walking distance of more.

The location is good. There is a bus stop just across the street from the hotel on State St. You can take bus #29 and it will take you about 20 min to get to Navy Pier and other touristy locations along the route. Staff was very nice and helpful. Free parking was key for our decision to stay there and you can park pass your check-out time as long as you don’t leave it overnight. Our room was very spacious and clean.

The hotel is a bit old but classic at the same time! That was not an issue for my stay.

Free parking is a huge value in Chicago, I didn't get a chance to use it but there was a workout room that looked more than adequate. The room was quite spacious and the bathtub was huge which was very nice to relax in.

The vending was limited and sold out, and I got in late enough not too much was open in the area but there was a convenience store which was within driving distance and since there was free parking it wasn't that big of a deal.

I had to move rooms 3 times because the air conditioner and hot water didn't work in the first room, which had the best view-next room had air conditioner that worked but the hot water did not-3rd room had both until the 4th day of my stay and there wasn't any hot water. Also, no operating vending machines so you had to go to the front desk for any drinks. There wasn't a convenience store close by either.

The staff was great to work with. They answered several questions and gave some advice on things. The hotel was perfect location for us. We wanted to be close to China town, fields and Sheds. This worked great.

The only thing we didn't care for is not the hotels responsibility. The area is a little sketchy. We were told not to venture South of the hotel on foot. We did walk in the evening but only to the north of the hotel.

The room was very large, parking was easy (and included), everything was quiet and clean. Would certainly stay here again.

I hesitate to say I don't like anything. I would just say there's nothing additional besides the room to draw me back. So for a nice place to stay, it's excellent. For lots of amentities or perks, there's not much, but in my case that was ok.

The staff was super nice, everyone from the front desk to the cleaning crew was helpful and just nice to banter with. the room was also great, very clean, fridge worked great and was large enough for everything during our 3 day stay.

only things that I personally didn't enjoy was having to go downstairs for microwave and the AC unit not being cold. glad there were microwaves on the property, they worked awesome actually...might get one of the brands for my house so thats just a lazy "what I didnt like" but the AC cooles down the room enough to not sweat but still had an ambient humid feeling if that makes sense.

The staff was really nice, especially the front ladies who work at the reception. The facilities were clean, and we did have a power outage in our room but it was solved quickly!

I think the location threw me off a little, it was really close to where I needed to be though so that’s a plus.
