My family and I went to Chicago two weeks ago. The Hotel is very beautiful, the staff very kind and the room clean! The position is very confortable because is near to all (lake, center of city, restaurants, fast food, etc... But the most beautiful experience was the breakfast, not only because food and beverage were various and taste, instead because there were two fantastic person (Javier and Fannie) that have the capacity of trasform the breakfast's room in one of the most comfortable ambient in the world. They are kindless, very funny, plenty of carefull! What else? Fannie and Javier are the best!

Comfortable bed, spacious room, mini fridge in the room and microwave in the lobby, the breakfast was simple but tasty and good enough for someone like me that doesn’t eat too much, a good variety of teas, the staff was friendly, the location is good because it’s close to the Riverwalk, to metro stations and bus stops.

It’s right across the street from a fire station and although most of the week it was quiet, during the weekend you could often hear the sirens at night. And the view from my room was the alley between the next building and the hotel so my room was very dark.

Room was clean and very comfortable, in spite of some reviews mentioning the Fire Department across the street for noise, it was quite minimal and our room had AC/Heat and an adjustable fan that you can just turn ON the fan for background noise blocking out most everything including sirens, I am a light sleeper and zonked out each night easily! Breakfast was good, enough choices for carnivores and vegetarians, solid overall and excellent coffee, and the service staff as mentioned by many are outstanding people! It is awesomely located, just a few blocks to the River walk, a few more to the lake shore, many restaurants near, Blues and Jazz clubs walking distance away, etc.

great space, liked the large bathroom and tub. The front desk were very kind, helpful and patient with our many questions as were the other staff. As many have said, the breakfast staff was very friendly. After reading some reviews, I was pleasantly surprised that they had hot food. The scrambled eggs were delicious. In fact, we almost missed our tour because i had to have a second helping and wasn't paying attention to the time.

The only things that were not 100% was the water pressure (I like to be able to adjust it stronger so i can rinse my long hair), and I would also like to have a flavored creamer for my coffee.

The staff were friendly and helpful especially Fannie and Javier , the breakfast staff. . They were extremely welcoming, polite and attentive and greeted everyone warmly. They work hard and keep the breakfast room immaculately clean. We were in Chicago to meet my daughter who is studying in Indiana and they both took a great interest in that. . Lovely people.

The noise from the fire station opposite the hotel! If I were staying again , I would definitely request a room at the back. Secondly, our room was changed without much explanation...not sure if we got a better room than what we had booked. Thirdly, I was taken aback that our card was charged an extra 200 dollars as s security deposit....this does not usually happen when we book via booking.com...and again it was not explained until I questioned it. We were assured that it will be returned within a few business days.. let's hope so.

Excellent location and quality service. Close to subway station in East Grand Street, a short walk to the Chicago River and downtown attractions. The Magnificent Mile, Navy Pier and Ohio Street Beach on Lake Michigan are also within easy reach. A fire station was across the street but caused no problems - on the contrary, made you feel safer. The Hotel staff were friendly and professional. Breakfasts were always a very pleasant start of the day thanks to Fannie and Javier who made sure all guests felt like home. Lots of food options in nearby Clark Street just round the corner.

Housekeeping was on request and we had to ask twice, but the room was cleaned perfectly. A very pleasant stay with no real complaints.

A typical American chain inner city hotel.Very good location near all the major tourist attractions.The highlight of our stay was our daily buffet breakfast which was overseen by the brilliant Fairfield Inn breakfast team of Javier and Fannie who always gave me and my family members a very friendly and helpful welcome .The food was quite good as well and Javier directed us to a few local stores that we wanted to visit .

We liked the location and the staff. It was in front of a fire station which has pros and cons. The kids liked watching the trucks, but lots of sirens went off while we were there and during the night.

There is no parking included. There are 2 options - Valet for $65 or Park it yourself 2 blocks away for $55. The restaurant is crowded but the food was good enough. The pullout couch left much to be desired. It was uncomfortable, stained, and smelly.

Breakfast was good. Standard fare: oatmeal, hard boiled eggs, cereal... The spinach and egg quiches were delish! Also, the cheddar sausage biscuits were yummy. Shout out to Javier and Fannie for maintaining the breakfast area! They were very friendly and most helpful. My room and the floor I stayed on (9th) was spacious and quiet. Also, shout out to the housekeeping staff. My room was not scheduled to be cleaned one day and I saw one of the staff in the hall. She asked if I needed anything. Then she went out of her way to empty my trash bins! Much appreciated! The location was a 30 min walk to Grant Park for Lollapalooza Music Festival, which is not that bad.

Well, the bed was very soft. Almost too soft.. I prefer a much firmer mattress. So, it was a little hard to sleep the first night. Also, a microwave in my room would have been nice but not a deal breaker.
