We stayed 5 nights in a lovely big room with corner city view. We asked for the room to be cleaned daily and we couldn’t fault the cleaning team. We asked for a mini fridge and it was delivered promptly. The location was great and was walkable to everything, although the red metro line was rounds the corner from the hotel entrance. There was free water in the lobby and the rooms which was great especially during the very hot summer weather.

The pool had too many chemicals in it and it was cloudy. The $100 a night incident payment, although this was returned within 3 days after departure.

Amazing staff that make every effort to make your stay comfortable. From the professional and friendly valet crew to the attentive front desk staff, to the housekeepers wishing you a good day each morning as you pass. At a lower price point than most other hotels in the area you are truly getting more than you pay for. Love the access to the grand station. You’re one stop away from lake and state which will transfer you to almost any area of the city and only a few stops heading north from Addison and Belmont or Wrigly field and Boystown. This will be my new hotel of choice in Chicago.

This isn’t the hotels fault but this section of state street gets a little sketchy overnight. There is almost 24 hour police presence however which gave a sense of security.

Great staff and for the most part everyone was very helpful and friendly! Great location as it was fairly central for what we wanted to do in our first trip to Chicago.

We had one day that one of the housekeepers can into our room saying that they didn’t have us down for anymore days when we were still there for another three but the front desk attendants remedied this for us. Also, as we drove in but parked for the whole week it would’ve been nice to have a discounted extended stay valet service. It would’ve cost us almost 4 times as much to utilize this just to park as what we paid for a parking garage the whole trip less than a block away.

The hotel is located in a very convenient area of Downtown Chicago in North River. The hotel is located across the street from a Subway station providing easy access to the main areas of Downtown and other locations such as Wrigley Field and Soldier Field. The room we had was very spacious and generally quiet (for a downtown hotel). Housekeeping were excellent providing us with fresh towels every day and offered to change the bedding on more than one occasion. Staff in general were friendly friendly and helpful

Not the fault of the hotel, but the area can be quite noisy, particularly at night - but perhaps this is to be expected with the location of the hotel.

amazing service at hotel. yummy breakfast and great service at restaurant. convenient location. we walked to all the sightseeing spots in the area. easy valet parking.

bathroom vanity had a space behind it and my ring fell right into it. really bad design. i thought i had lost it. i was pretty dang upset about it. but the staff saved my experience at the hotel. the front desk got someone in that evening to move the whole vanity unit (by disconnecting the plumbing) and retrieved my. they were awesome.

We were first greeted by the doorman Michael Slaughter who was wonderful!! Throughout our stay he was really personable, helpful with directions and recommendations. We stayed in the junior suite, which had an amazing jacuzzi tub ( as we were celebrating our anniversary). The front desk was very nice- welcoming us back each time we returned. The location was great-(centrally located) easy to walk to attractions, places to shop and places to eat. We dined at the hotel restaurant -CBR- great service & food. There is an indoor pool - which was great to beat the heat.

There is a "destination fee" when you get your bill. I haven't seen this fee anywhere else, not sure what it's for, or why it is being charged.

If you like to walk, I felt the location pretty good, it felt central enough where I could walk to Navy Pier, walk to the Mag Mile, and even to the Riverwalk; all within 10-20 minutes. Beds were pretty comfortable as well.

The knowledge of the front desk staff. As there is no Concierge, it would benefit the hotel to make sure that the front desk staff be more knowledgeable with surrounding attractions, restaurants and directions. I asked the best way to walk to Navy Pier and the person I spoke at the front desk had no idea because they don't really go there, and weren't sure how to walk there (I found out on my own, it was pretty straight forward). I asked about bus/train directions, and another answer I got was "I drive, I don't take the train".

I had reservations for 2 rooms and 1 room was ready early. The staff was wonderful and helpful. I appreciated that they fulfilled my special request of being on the highest floor, which was the too floor but there’s apartments above the hotel. The bed was comfortable, microwave, safe, iron/iron board, refrigerator, desk, robes, and living area was all nice.

Parking is available in the structure 1 block over and needed overnight which was $60. My TV in my room had lines going through it but I wasn’t watching it anyways. The jacuzzi tub was really loud when the water was draining. I think slippers could be added to the room. The ability to access the terrace from the hall versus going through the pool was odd.

The staff was incredible, especially Sarah at the front desk and Antwonne the concierge/parking attendant! They made us feel welcomed before we even arrived by sending messages and asking how they could set up our stay to make us comfortable. The entire hotel was spotless from top to bottom. Our room was very comfortable and spacious. The pool and rooftop patio were beautiful, as was the lobby lounge and entrance patio - everything was just very well-thought-out and welcoming. They even loaned us umbrellas and bicycles! 10/10 - highly recommend!

Nothing really - everything was wonderful!

From Start to finish this was a phenomenal experience. The staff were so warm and welcoming and fully understood the difference between service and hospitality. The entire staff were very kind and professional but Sarah, Antwon, Caitlyn, and Nancy really made me feel at home. I really appreciated the opportunity to upgrade my room to the spa suite. That bathroom and tub were unmatched. I enjoyed myself so much I stayed an extra day I’ll be visiting Chicago again soon and refuse to stay anywhere else.

My only issue was with the tvs, very outdated with slow remote signals. They are not smart tvs so if you plan on streaming I suggest bringing a Roku plug in or laptop and hdmi etc.otherwise plan on watching commercials.
