The location was perfect. We were able to walk everywhere we were going except one place. Though in a busy area the hotel and surrounding area was very quiet and peaceful. The staff was very nice and accommodating.

Housekeeping was not good. We were asked at check in if we wanted housekeeping service. We said yes but no one ever came. We ran out of towels and toilet paper and had to go to the desk to get more. Very disappointed in this regard. I would love to go back soon have a trip planned in September but this fail in basic services has given me pause.

We were in room 2414 and had a great view of the lake. The room was a good size and is exactly as shown in the photos, which doesn't always happen. Bed was very comfortable and the aircon was great so we slept well. The shower was really good and had full size bottles of lovely shampoo, conditioner, body wash and lotion. The room had everything we needed including a full size hairdryer, mini fridge, iron and ironing board and a microwave and small sink in the living room area. We didn't use the pool area but popped up for a look. There was only one person in swimming and it was clean and well maintained. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming. This was our first time in Chicago and it has a lovely vibe and everywhere we went for shopping, food etc the staff were so nice. We went to a concert at the United Centre and it was about $20 in an Uber but expect to pay at least double that on the way back! We would definitely return to this Hilton if we come back to Chicago!

My husband would have liked a bar but he went next door to the Knickerbocker where some of our friends were staying. There was nothing I didn't like about this hotel.

It was very clean and comfortable. It was a good walking distance to Magnificent Mile.

If this is your first time to Chicago, this hotel is not a great location. It is very close walking distance to magnificent mile which is just the high end stores. It is a 30-40 minute walk to any of the tourist attractions like the bean, etc,. Hotel staff was not very friendly, in fact the woman that checked us in gave us keys and the room number of someone that already had stuff in that room! All she offered was a drink from their cooler. They were not very good at giving advice on local transportation such as the train or bus system. Almost seemed like their guests were bothering them.

Went for the one-room King suite with lake view on a high floor and did not regret it. We lucked out with a room on Floor 29, along the same hallway as the Presidential Suite and the final floor before the pool and fitness center. All I can say is that it had been 25 years (1998 doesn't seem THAT long ago but I guess it was) since my mom and I had been in Chicago so we were having a lot of feelings. To open the doors to the well-designed, airy, sunlit space vaulted over city buildings, Lakeshore Drive, and the ocean-like Lake Michigan itself just about brought us to tears. There was not one thing that wasn't immediately perfect - the softly carpeted yet somehow squeaky clean floor, the ample closet space with more than two hangers, the crisp and white cotton towels, the large desk, the swank sitting area, the minimalist decor, and the cloud-like bed. An unexpected and huge asset to this place is the staff. From the 24-hour valet to the employees working the lobby cafe/convenience store to the concierge team to the cleaning squad, so much genuine kindness and helpfulness made me feel attached to everybody and like I was actually a local in Chicago for the 48-hour period that I got to be there. As for the location - on a quiet side street off Magnificent Mile and also a short stroll to Oak Street Beach, a half block from Michigan Avenue mainlining to the river and onward to the Cultural Mile, and the artery to capillaries buzzing with old and new eateries, shops, and historical and cultural sites. What I find unreal overall is the price for this experience - about $209 a night after tax. There are so many hotels in big cities and all kinds of random spots with tiny spaces, no closet, grimy surfaces, cranky staff, and zero view commanding nearly the same price. This is in the top five most fantastic hotel experiences I've ever had in my life anywhere in the world and THE best in the U.S., and it's going to stay right there. Thank you.

Even if I strain to think of something I didn't like, I can't think of anything. Even the elevator ride up and down was a pleasant experience.

Location was fantastic. A little off of “magnificent mile” but only a block or so. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel in general smelt clean. Elevators were quick to pick up. Bell hops and staff very knowledgeable about the property and things around it. They even let us store our luggage until our night time flight.

Only hiccup was the sofa bed. It had clearly not been changed from the last guest as there were still sheets on the mattress with potato chips and an advil liquid gel pill on the sheets. I placed a call to the front desk asking for fresh linens and a blanket. The staff was very quick and brought it up to the room.

The property was very clean, and the beds were so comfortable! The front desk representative was able to check us in early as well! Also, the location was super close to everything, which is great.

I loved the pool, but I do wish there was a hot tub. Also, you have to pay a deposit of $100 per night, which I wasn’t expecting. I should hopefully be getting it back within a couple of days though.

Great central location near Michigan Ave shops and restaurants, the beach, lakefront running path, John Hancock building etc.. Had a one bedroom suite with 2 doubles in a bedroom and a living room with double pullout and wet bar (fridge, sink, micro, coffee). Bathroom with large walk in shower connected to both rooms. Hvac system was very quiet/consistent/adjustable fan speeds and had wall controls. Bed and pillows very comfortable. Room was on backside of building with only views of nearby buildings but room was very quiet with no street noise (not always the case in big cities!) Rates decreased in last few days before trip so was able to rebook at a great deal. Bellhop can watch luggage for early arrival/late departure. Would stay here again.

Really nothing avail but small coffee shop for food/drink on site but lots of options within walking distance (as a family we found the hidden gem of Harry Carey sports bar with an included sports museum on top floor of a mall a block away… also there is a fancier bar at top of John Hancock with great views). Gave us 4 towels for 5 people.. minute gripe… just prefer it when hotels are generous with the towels without having to ask.

The amenities of the room and hotel

The person that checked us in was very short and not helpful with the wifi password. He was very short and cur and assumed that we would no that the wifi password was up under something that it was up under. The code was written up under something else that I can not remember at the time, but i assure you that it did not say wifi password... So when going back up to him to get clarification on where to find the password at his exact ŵords were, " You don't see the wifi code right there" totally disrespectful because if I saw it I would not have taken my time to go back to him to get it.

The SERVICE, location and comfy beds. The valet and bellman staff were excellent and beyond helpful and treated my daughter (we drove 5 hours to take her to American Girl store for her birthday) like a princess and their kindness made the day so special. My mom was traveling with us and uses a cane, and the staff made sure she was taken care of, even ensuring she had a room near elevators for her ease.

N/A. Everything was wonderful. The service aspect was exceptional. Everyone went the extra mile to ensure we had what we needed at all times.

I stayed for 3 nights, the customer service was excellent! from the front desk to the valet gentleman outside the hotel, as soon as I arrived they let me do early check in at 1pm which was great because I had parked in a parking facility and arrived to Chicago 2 hours early. They grabbed my luggage soon as arrived and took it to my floor, they have a person on every floor for housekeeping my room stayed clean the hotel was in a great location and it was clean, would recommend staying here!
