Spacious room with kitchen. It was nice to have a fridge and microwave to store/reheat our leftovers. Shower always had hot water ready which is a must for the cold weather in November. They have a complimentary beverage station of hot water, teas, coffee, and hot chocolate in the lobby all day. We enjoyed having a hot drink to go every day we went out. There is also breakfast every morning but we did not get a chance to try it. Wish we were able to check it out!

The shower had body wash, shampoo, and conditioner but thought it was strange that the bathroom sink did not have hand soap. Maybe they forgot to restock our hand soap? We had our own so we didn't bother asking the front desk. We didn't cook or use dishes but I noticed the kitchen sink did not have dish soap either so FYI, be prepared to bring your own soap if needed :)

The staff was really helpful especially Yardi. The location was great walking distance of everything. I valet my car when I check in never had to move it again. I was a block or so from lake Michigan.

The line for breakfast was long. I was not aware that the hotel housed immigrants. The valet was overly price especially if you stayed for more a few days. The valet cost as much as the room stay.

Only paid parking - extremely high price, but it is with other hotels in the downtown, but using SpotHero App, I found one at walking distance 70% cheaper The only temporary issue is that the main entrance is under renovation, and breakfast is average.

The room was very spacious.Breakfast was a basic buffet style with eggs, potatoes, breads, and yogurt. We were 2 blocks from the Magnificent Mile. Although, a longer hike, we walked to the Navy Pier and returned by walking the lakeshore. The staff was very accommodating. I loved having a kitchenette to prepare a couple of meals! It helped save money on food so we could enjoy outside activities that wouldn't feel like we were breaking the bank. I would definitely stay here again!

Valet service was $70/nt. It is a high price ( not the highest) but also the average price for downtown Chicago. There is a self park garage 1 block away for $28/nt.

It is centrally located in the city centre where attractions are few km away and shopping centre is a walking distance. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. They let me have an early check-in which was very nice considering I came all the way to London and I’ve travelled with a long delays, I was really knackered etc. The room was extremely clean and it has everything I needed. I can even cook if I wanted too because there was a complete kitchen facilities as well as an ample space and have plenty of towels and toiletries.

The hotel is under renovation but the staff informed me this ahead so it’s not really something I didn’t like about the property. The breakfast though was not really good; not have a lot of options and not very healthy but this was compensated for having a nice staff who were very friendly and helpful staff!

The location and staff were fantastic. We had a two bedroom suite that fit our five adult family members comfortably for a week (used the sofa bed). We did have to share the one full bathroom. So, fine for family and would depend on how familiar friend groups are. The kitchen was well equipped and we cooked three dinners for ourselves. The included breakfasts were basic but fine with daily option of scrambled eggs, sausage or bacon and fried potatoes. I got variety by alternating with granola and yogurt. Plenty good to get your day started and not pay for another meal. Absolutely can't beat the price. Fun to live by the magnificent mile/Streeterville for a week. No way we could afford all the other hotels in the area much less all the doormen buildings. We found self park overnight parking through Spothero. com ranging from $20-30 on Chestnut. The hotel has valet in and out parking for $70 which is similar to other in and out parking in the area. They are currently doing some renovation of the lobby but that didn't really impact our stay. The staff was friendly and responsive.

The staff was extremely helpful and kind. Went above and beyond to help me throughout my week stay. Even after I had already checked out they continued the amazing service, watched my bags so my friends and I could still see the city before our transportation departed, very amazing experience overall

There was construction during my stay and on some days they would start around 7 am which was hard only because I would of liked to sleep in a little later but not the end of the world

Wow! I loved everything about the Sonesta. Yes, the hotel is undergoing renovations, but that did not affect our stay at all. Infact, the renovations are amazing! Our room on the 17th floor was spectacular: new, modern, great views, sparkling clean. It was like living in our own Chicago apartment for a few days! The breakfast was ample, fresh and tasty. But the staff, oh my goodness, they are what makes this hotel so special. From check in staff to check out staff, to the housekeeping staff, to security, they were all happy, friendly and so helpful. I was so sad to leave! Thank you Sonesta for making our stay in Chicago so perfect.
