I liked the room, the upstairs bar in the Palm Court, Bartender Thawat was very enjoyable! There was another gentleman that gretted going up the stairs when we checked in. Noticed the shirt I was wearing and gave me a Roll Tide! for the University of Alabama. Then some more conversation. Later that evening when we were heading out caught my wife and I and took our picture by the big Planter by the stairs. Wife was very happy. We had our wedding reception at the Drake 25 years ago July 18th.

There really wasn't anything, The only thing we just wanted a quiet drink and the bar was busy downstairs which is a good thing. I will get my executive martini next time.

It was my wife's 60th birthday and, having both grown up in Chicago, I wanted to take her to the iconic Drake Hotel. I wanted to have view of Oak Street Beach, and we got that and it was a beautiful, sunny blue sky day. We went to see the play Tommy at the Goodman Theater, and came back to beautiful, comfortable room.

Not that we came for or watched a lot of TV, going through the list and guide was rather awkward and cumbersome.

Maid did a good job taking care of room and was very pleasant and always greeted us with a hello and smile when we passes her in the lallway. but don't think the rug had been vacuumed before we got there. Loved the afternoon tea experience and the gentlemen out front were very helpful getting a taxi and showing how to get where we wanted to go.

Had a room with 2 beds.only had 1 chair in room. When we asked if we could have a second chair was told only one per room. We said even a folding chair was ok was still told no.

I loved the hotel old fashion way, very nice staff and the great localization (super near to Michigan avenue). I've also loved the room - great space, comfort and very well clean.

I'd love to have in room service - they dont have it and it is necessary to go downstairs at the restaurants to have the breakfast, lunch or dinner. When you are really tired from a long work day, it is nice to have the possibility to order something and get into your room. I have missed this!

I liked that the room was large and we did not feel cramped. There was plenty of space for us to hang our dress clothes in the closet. I also loved the atmosphere of the hotel and how attentive the staff were.

It was a little far from some of the L stations, so we had to walk a ways to get to the station or take an Uber a few times. That is nothing that can change though due to location.

Checking in was very easy. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The location of the hotel was excellent. Christine at the bar was very friendly.

I didn’t realise you had to request the room to be serviced as this wasn’t mentioned at reception when checking in but once we realised the room was cleaned the very next day.

Gorgeous Hotel, Management kept in close contact & put us on a beautiful high floor, as I had requested, with a stunning view. All staff were professional & kind. Room was spectacular .. very comfortable..we enjoyed hanging out in the morning & evening...very roomy & lovely decor loved the nice large bathroom

Fabulous hotel and location. Bar service and atmosphere were fantastic. Room was spotless and comfortable. Hotel was quiet and felt private. Staff was friendly and accommodating.

Parking is a little pricey and the garage was harder to find than anticipated. But, it’s Chicago and those are issues everywhere. Not enough to keep me from going back!

The Drake is a VERY elegant hotel! Rich in tradition. Everyone from the desk to the maids were very polite and helpful. Was in town for Pink concert at Wrigley Field the hotel is a short walk to the Red Line on the L and directly on the top of the Mag Mile!

There is nothing not to like about a stay here.

Has become a tradition to stay here on the 30th of December to celebrate a bday. The last 4 yrs running. This year we expanded the party. As always we enjoy the historic value of this great place. From the staff to location. They gave us a complimentary upgrade. Thank you for that. We will be back next year but extend our stay to new year's day. We have some family connections to this Grand Place as my mother worked her back in the day. Looking forward to our next stay. Thank you Drake and their wonderful staff.

One room smelled really bad due to leaking window. But the manager took care of this immediately and got us in another room w another upgrade for the inconvenience. So no complaints.
