Very nice facility with helpful and friendly staff and great customer service. The bellhops were extremely fun and eager to help with our luggage. One bellhop was helpful in sharing where to go and how to get there in downtown Chicago.

A male employee entered our room without knocking at 11 pm. He said it was a mistake. Also, it took too long to get our car from the valet. After complaining to management about these things, they apologized. After cleaning it, they left an apology note, with some snacks in the room. They also adjusted the cost of one night of our stay and didn't charge for the valet parking. I was satisfied with the response from customer service.

Bedroom spacious, bathroom excellent, quiet.

For the price paid, I would suggest that the hotel should provide a ten dollar voucher to each guest to be used in the Meli restaurant next door every morning. It is not sufficient for the hotel to provide complimentary coffee for breakfast. Even the complimentary coffee was not that great and we resorted to making coffee in our room. This is the essence of hospitality. We had to ask for water each day. That is quite ridiculous. It should just be provided in the room-why not? The hotel needs to address the use of plastics. The USA needs to stop single use plastics, utterly unsustainable.

Room was perfectly clean. Roomy. Nice shower. Loved location. Felt safe walking about. Helpful staff. We appreciate having frig & microwave in room for our restaurant leftovers. Spending time in the room was an important part of our vacation that we needed for R & R because we spent long days walking miles in museums & around town.

Extremely minor points, since you asked: I didn't figure out how to determine what would be on tv. I really appreciated having coffee in the lobby. Tasted real good. In the afternoon & eves the offering of water infused with tasty looking berries looked really good but it seemed the berries became so thick as to prevent the water from coming out any faster than a very slow trickle-- or something. This likely wasn't an issue for the first people getting it. NOT a big deal.

The hotel staff is very welcoming, kind, helpful, and accommodating - the best, as always! Also, the large size and cleanliness of the guest rooms, the convenience of the hotel being connected to Meli's Cafe (which serves delicious breakfast and lunch), and the very close proximity of the hotel to my daughter's college dorm apartment, and to the South Loop city center restaurants and attractions. I love Hotel Blake!

The nightly rate was a bit more expensive than usual (due to all the area college graduations, I'm sure). But it's my favorite place to stay in Chicago because of the great staff and the great South Loop location. My daughter graduated from college there last month, but I can't wait to come back and visit Hotel Blake and all the friends I've made there over the past 2 years, and I will soon!

Great location, bedding super comfortable, great sized room for the city. Absolutely would stay again. We had our AC start dripping through the ceiling twice and had to call to get it fixed - the techs were there in minutes to fix it (a condensation problem), and the hotel gave us a $50 credit for the cafe for the inconvenience. Great service and handling of a problem that could have been a real headache.

Hallways (but NOT room) smelled very strongly of smoke. Four people on the reservation but always gave 3 towels requiring us to ask daily for towels.

The location of the hotel was very convenient for touring major attractions downtown. The housekeeping service was excellent - cleaned the room every day during a 5 night stay. The decor was updated and interesting, with a flat screen TV and a very nice bathroom. Had a great fridge and microwave. Nice view from the window of the imposing public library across the street.

I would have liked a more comfy chair to relax in. Also, I didn't realize it was a time share property and was pressed a little bit to schedule an informational meeting, which I didn't appreciate so much.

We really enjoyed our stay at Blake Hotel. The location was perfect and let us walk around the city and return in between sightseeing. The cafè next door served a very good (gluten-free & vegan!) breakfast. The staff was extremely friendly and helped us with all our questions. The room was nice and quiet, the beds super comfortable and we really appreciated the large bathroom with two sinks. Overall the stay was even better than expected and we would definitely come back.

The windows could be better. There was a little draft coming from the windows, but we could cover it with the curtains.

The bed was extremely comfortable and the staff very friendly. The location was close to several restaurants, stores, coffee shops and bars for a quick walk. Easy drive to the McCormick Center either by taxi, Uber or personal vehicle. The valet parking service is great as well. Loved the high ceilings in the main part of the room and the furnishings.

The lighting in the bathroom is too dark to apply makeup and after several minutes, the light on the large mirror will dim. The hallway into my room was a very dark blue, which made it very dark into the bathroom with the door open as well.

The restaurant attached to the the Hotel was great and convenient.

They could have followed through with letting a comfort dog visit with my special needs son, as was told to the handler before our arrival. We travelled here to meet them in person. My son has been having virtual visits with him since the start of the pandemic but never met in person. Extremely disappointing and the clerk was not at all caring. I chose this hotel because you don't allow animals in the rooms (I'm allergic to cats and most dogs) however the handler called to see if other arrangements could be made which were until they arrived for the visit. Then no one knew anything about it, no communication.

What a wonderful experience, from the location to the staff. This charming establishment met and exceeded all of my expectations .This was a mother daughter trip, and I wanted it to be very special. All of the staff from the moment we arrived were impeccable . It's really hard to find GREAT customer service these days, and they knocked it out of the park. I 'd like to thank Showtime, Frank, Ryan,and Al For going the extra mile and making this a trip, Danielle and I will never forget. We will be back forsure
