I had a great experience at a hotel in a fantastic location. Plenty of transportation options were nearby, including a bus stop in front of the hotel, a metro, and an elevated train. Since my mother had trouble walking long distances, we used Uber, which was affordable because everything was close by. The hotel staff, with their warm and attentive demeanor, left a lasting impression. Despite the language barrier, they went above and beyond to cater to my Spanish-speaking mother's needs, displaying genuine care and concern. Their exceptional service significantly contributed to the comfort and enjoyment of our stay. I was surprised that breakfast wasn't included, but I might have missed that when I made the reservation. However, the breakfast at the hotel restaurant was excellent. Special thanks to the waiter who found my bag with all my documents and money on a chair in the restaurant and rushed after me in the street to return it.
I was asked for my credit card during check-in to block $100. I understand that this could be a hotel policy; however, it would have been nice to be informed in advance during the booking process. Since the hotel was prepaid, I assumed no credit card would be required.

I took a red eye flight and got in super early. They let me check in at 9am which is unheard of for me it was absolutely exceptional. I also had to shorten my stay by one day and they let me do that and gave me a refund for the night. Overall very helpful people and a very nice place. Location is prime for Chicago activities. Also they have this water bottle system which is super nice because I often find myself getting dehydrated easily on trips and this is the first time that didn’t happen. Overall a ten out of ten.
Their doors are just a little to close to your neighbors door with a small hallway but I don’t think that was a big issue at all.

Not super close to the centre, but that is why we wanted to stay around Loop area. Room was wuite big and nice. Maybe not the most modern room you'll find, but functional, clean and big sized. Toilet had all the toiletries (shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, body cream). There are water dispensers on the corridors with free reusable bottles. You've got a mat in the room for exercise. Lovely area downstairs for working if needed (with complimentary coffee/tea) and a great gym. Great pub downstairs, open until late and with lovely food and drinks offer. Food hall round the corner which is great too.
The only thing I did not like is that it took a long time for housekeeping to come to the room. So, there was a couple of days in which we didn't go out, as I was not feeling good, so the room was not done on those, as they were coming quite late (they came around 3pm one day and almost at 5pm on the other). But if you are staying and leaving during the day, the room will definitely be done when you get back,

The location is hard to beat - the hotel is a few blocks down the street from the Art Institute of Chicago and Millennium Park where you'll find the brilliant interactive sculpture by Jaume Piensa (google it - it's the most wonderfully life-affirming thing, and if you have children, take swimming gear and a towel) and the Frank Gehry Pritzker Pavilion with outdoor events. Almost next door to the hotel is the historic building, The Rookery, which houses the Frank Lloyd Wright Institute and its gift shop where you can book a 30 minute tour of the building and book others to the Robie House and other FLW buildings. The hotel is also about three blocks from the famed Willis (previously Sears) Tower. The hotel itself adjoins a a restaurant - I didn't use it but it's convenient. My room was quiet, airy with five windows and a very comfortable bed. I was lucky enough to meet Joanna, one of the senior managers of the hotel, who was absolutely brilliant, helping me with so many things, including advice on taking the Loop (the elevated train round the Loop, the central area of Chicago - there's a stop just down the street), getting me a ticket for a matinee at Second City, and thanks to her I got to see the Tiffany dome in the gorgeous Chicago Cultural Centre which otherwise I would have missed completely. She also told me about hotel amenities that I was not told about when I checked in - there's not only a water dispenser but they offer free bottles to take with you too, an ice machine, and laundry facilities as well as a lounge in the basement with a TV, outlets for laptops and a good free coffee machine. I would definitely stay there again.
The cleanliness was a tiny bit haphazard but the issues I had were corrected, if not necessarily at the first time of asking. But there was nothing horrendous, and I'm someone who sets a great store by things being clean. The staff was uniformly very pleasant, but as mentioned above, I wasn't told on check in about all the amenities available in the hotel, which is a shame as the hotel offers a lot of amenities compared with others I have stayed in during my travels. I found out about them three days into my stay, thanks to Joanna, who, it is worth mentioning again, is a real star.

The hotel was centrally located and easy to get to by bus, train, or taxi. It was close to restaurants and convenience stores. The hotel provided easily accessed, free drinking water and ice as well as bottles to put the water in.
We had to ask them to come empty the trash and clean the room the third day we had been there. Nobody had come to clean prior to this. When we had checked in, we had been told they would clean every day unless we put out a "do not disturb" sign. We did not put out a sign, but our room was not cleaned.

AMAZING location, loved the fitness facility, loved the espresso machine in the common area and loved the Nespresso machine in my room! The bed was SUPER comfortable and the room was small but cozy. I also loved that the elevators were SUPER FAST and efficient - a small but important detail for someone who travels often. Shower got hot immediately and had decent pressure, and the toiletries provided were good quality. And for being in the heart of downtown, it was so quiet in the room! Very easy to sleep. The hotel has a very European vibe, right down to the fabulous British pub downstairs! The hallway layout is actually identical to a recent stay I had in Edinburgh, very quirky and fun.
I enjoyed my stay and have VERY few "complaints": The walls were quite thin, so i could hear my neighbor easily. But luckily they were not noisy neighbors at all. The shade on the window was difficult to shut, the cord was on the opposite side so as you shut it, you couldn't reach the cord anymore. There were long weird hallways to get to the fitness center, but once there it is quite nice, updated and clean with towels, a water station, and plenty of antibac wipes to keep everything clean.

The location where the hotel is located is close to everything within walking distance. Very comfortable and convenient bed and very good to have a refrigerator and microwave in the room
I did not like that since my arrival the room was not completely clean, especially the carpet, and I had to request the housekeeping service daily when it should be an automatic service or request it when checking in since it is difficult to remember that they will not clean the room if You don't ask for it and being on vacation, at least we gave it importance.

Location is great, between the train station and the Art Institute, an easy walk to restaurants and shopping. Our suite (queen bed & sleeper sofa) worked well for 3 people. The mini-fridge was handy. The climate control worked well (we were there in December; no trouble keeping warm). We arrived in the morning but were able to check into our rooms early.
It would have been nice to have sugar packets and little containers of half and half for coffee and tea. The backing was coming off the chair at our desk.

We were 3 in a studio with 2 beds. Both beds comfortable (other was a foldout). Shampoo and condtioner provided. Drinking water next to elevators. 2 usb outlets on a nightstand. We came for Lollapalooza and this was a good location for the price, 15-25 min walk. Felt safe.
I wasn't going to do any cooking but there was a kitchenette with a stove and a microwave but no pots, dishes or cutlery. Maybe the lend this I did not ask but found it weird. When more than 2 persons in the room, some extra USB outlets would have been nice.
