This is a great facility! It's the old hospital, so the hallways are so wide and it just feels luxurious! Lots of safety features to prevent people who aren't staying from getting off on your floor. The front desk clerk, Charminique was the friendliest hotel staff member we've ever had! Often in big cities, the front desk staff are indifferent or terse, but she was bubbly, lively, engaging! She welcomed me to the hotel and told me about its history and the museum there. She sold us on how magical Chicago is, and how much she loves it. She made sure we knew of all the things to do, eat, visit, or purchase in the hotel, and how to find them as well as their hours. She also assisted me on checkout, and was just SO GOOD at her job. She set the tone for our visit to the hotel and to Chicago, and we had an amazing trip. We can't wait to go back, and we will use this hotel again.

First is the Location. It is near the 2 L train stations so it’s very easy to go around the city. Second one is Safety. Guests can only access their specific floors. Free Breakfast is good as well. This hotel looks new and clean. I also like the aesthetics and the vibe. There’s large windows in every corner making it bright inside. Bed is comfortable. Lastly, they’re pet friendly and it’s perfect if you have pets. There’s a park in front of the hotel where you can walk your pets to go potty.

Parking is not free of charge.

The building itself was beautiful. I was blown away by the wide hallways, pretty furniture, and gorgeous high ceilings. It’s the most aesthetically interesting hotel I’ve been in and I was very curious about the history of the building. The front desk staff were all incredible (JD in particular helped me a lot with check in). The parking lot was in a close, convenient location. I love the large bottles of shower amenities so I didn’t have to bother staff for refills. The bedding smelled fresh and was very comfy.

There were some renovations that hadn’t been performed well. One of the rooms’ bathrooms had gaps in the drywall where it had not been properly cut around new lighting and fixtures. The mattresses weren’t very comfortable. Breakfast wasn’t impressive (undercooked sausage, floppy pancakes, not the most friendly staff for that part specifically. The parking fee was unfortunate. There are few hotels I’ve stayed in— even in cities— where that wasn’t complimentary. The parking lot wasn’t in great shape. Limited spots and torn up concrete. The water pressure was very weak and the body wash smelled awful.

Within walking distance to the United Center where we attended a concert. Clean, comfortable rooms, hotel bar/restaurant had a good burger which was a convenient dinner as we had a short amount of time to eat after arriving/before the concert. Great continental breakfast and friendly staff! Safe location in the medical district.

You have to pay for a parking pass to park In their lot, but it's first come first serve and the lot was full. We were directed to a parking garage behind the hotel which was conveniently located but cost more per night than the hotel charges.

Location was close enough to the loop and all the tourist attractions. Also, the hotel is convenient to the Pink Line. Having in/out access to the parking lot for a affordable daily price was also a plus. I appreciate the secure elevator access. There was enough options at breakfast for guest that dont eat meat.

Limited food options in the hotel and my window was extremely high on the 8th floor. I wasn’t expecting to not be able to easily look at the window. That information should be disclosed before assigning rooms

The location was good, close to the train station and restaurants. I liked that we had breakfast available to us. Also liked that there was a microwave in the room. The rooms were nice and spacious as was the bathroom.

The mattress in my room was very uncomfortable and made a squeaky noise whenever you got in or out of bed. You needed more staff to assist at breakfast to ensure that tables are clean and that the coffee service is always refreshed.

Super clean and stylish hotel and rooms. Buffet breakfast was a big bonus with great choice and variety of foods each morning. Gym and laundry facilities were also a great addition and excellent quality.

Location: It would have been great to have more eating/shopping facillities nearby. The plastic knives/forks/spoons and cups seemed a little wasteful. Perhaps they could be replaced by wooden and washable alternatives.

Lovely converted building, used to be a hospital. Hallways are more like an art gallery. it was probably the quietest hotel we’ve stayed at. Staff were friendly. Breakfast is included. Our room had full small kitchen and even a dishwasher.

Not really “dislikes”, more comments. Our room was great however the bathroom was very tight trying to get behind the door to the sink dodging the toilet. There just seemed to be a lot of wasted space. On the whole the breakfast was good however the buffet serving area was too small causing congestion and the food was a little cold at times however it was plentiful and a good start to the day.

I was tied to the hotel since my class was within walking distance and I opted not to get a rental car. The food from the breakfast buffet and lounge was excellent and I enjoyed the mini-museum about Cook County Hospital. There was a nice place to study with a classmate.

I wish the coffee pot in the room was full size and the provided coffee was better.

The property was clean and nice. It was within walking distance to the facility to watch the Chicago Bulls.

We had to park off-site, as the small parking lot on-site was full. As a result, we had to park several blocks away, which was very inconvenient. I did not know this before booking the room, or else I would not have made the reservation.
