It's a walking distance to United Center. It took me less than 20 minutes and I felt safe. The hotel staff gave excellent directions. They were also very friendly and courteous. They also have a food hall/food court near the lobby. There were 4-5 vendors, selling tacos, Indian cuisine, pizza, etc. There's also a mini-shop beside the front desk. It's where I bought my bottled water from. I also like the security. After watching a concert at the United Center, I arrived back at the hotel at past 10 pm. You can only get inside the hotel building using your room card/key. You will also use your room card/key to access the elevator. The room is very spacious and clean. The bathroom is also very spacious.
I had an early flight so I was not able to partake of the free breakfast. The website said it starts at 6 am but the staff told me that breakfast starts at 6:30 am.

Love the architecture of the property. Room was perfect for my partner and I. It was quiet where we were located. Room was quite spacious. Bed was comfortable. Shower was lovely. Rooms decor was nice as well
The parking was limited. Thankfully we were there on the weekend and didn’t get a ticket Sunday morning. Parking is a first come first serve basis where it is reserved when you check in. Other parking was mentioned but it was not clear on where and what to do. The parking structure next to the hotel was blocked off after a certain time. When I called about early/late check in, I was sent to the operator but not the hotel. The operator gave me a different response to my question than what the hotel provided when I was transferred.

Very large, modern hotel in an old hospital building. The rooms are spacious with a decent size bathroom and comfortable large beds. The aircon was the quietest system I have ever experienced in a hotel. Truly exceptional. Nice large bar space on the 2nd floor with a good selection of food and drinks. (And a pool table.)
The cleanliness of the room was ok, with some dust and hair in the corners. There was a room safe, but it was closed, so unusable. The breakfast room was really crowded with long lines (on the weekend). Getting into the city center needs an L ride and about half an hour.

Had to walk two blocks to a parking garage to park as there is no parking on the property. Upon coming on the property disappointed that the clerk never explained anything to us. Breakfast was only served till 9am. Disappointed that the tables were dirty and no eggs or bacon. We got there at 8:35 and I know it was close to 9 am but I thought it would have been replenished. We got in late from a concert and had to go for our own linens for the show fa bed although it said everything that we needed was in the bed.

Beautiful historic building, in a quiet part of town. Within walking distance of the train, and then its just a quick ride downtown. Nice selection for the complimentary breakfast. The rooms were spacious enough for 2 people, without feeling closed in, the views aren't terrible, considering you aren't in the middle of the city, but it does overlook a nice park. There is even a nice food hall attached to the main lobby. Would definitely stay here again.

Super cool old Cook county hospital converted into a hotel- I could’ve stay for a month! Just the way it’s been restored- most stairways still have original steps, new windows but replicated from the original - very clean and spacious rooms, comfy beds, quiet temperature controlled units- what more could a person want!
Would love to see the old ER transform into a restaurant! Parking a block or so away might bother some folks but it was fine for us. The L is a short walk away- inexpensive and convenient.

The hotel was very clean. Staff was very friendly. Our room was very spacious and clean. The bed and pillow was also very comfortable. I had a very restful sleep. Unfortunately we had to leave a day early due to a family emergency but would totally stay again.
Parking situation was a bit confusing. Website said one thing. Hotel staff said another. There is plenty of parking just understanding where to park for the hotel is confusing.

The breakfast was amazing and I liked that they didn't do housekeeping checks for multiple day guests, made me less uneasy about leaving my stuff alone in the hotel room. And the lobby doors lock after a certain time and you need a key card to get in so I felt very safe! And it was very convenient to have a parking lot right behind the hotel!
The closest thing I have to a "complaint" is the lights being on a timer so I would leave the light on knowing I would be coming back after dark but the lights would be off because of timers but there's a switch next to the door so it really wasn't an actual issue.

The building is beautiful. It has that early 1900's architecture, sweeping staircases and stone floors. Everything feels spacious, from the hallways to the rooms. The subway is right across the street.
The walls are thin. Shouldn't be an issue unless you're a light sleeper. Also, the area surrounding the hotel has few food options. Inside the hotel, there's only a small bar/cafe that opens at 3 pm. The complimentary breakfast is just okay.
