Best Western Des Plaines Inn

I found this hotel to be comforting. I somehow enjoy the staircases: wide in width of the space and steps were narrow/shallow. The rooms were nice and clean as arrived, lady maintains the breakfast area every ten mins or so, check-in and check-out was done smoothly.

The shower knob came off easily. I was able to fix it temporary but the shower nob and bathtub lid cover needs to be fixed for future customers. I know that a few customers were upset with coffee machine being down but I did not mind that since our room came with coffee maker and extra coffees & teas.

Friendly staff, nice room with comfy beds. Excellent shower pressure, and the place smells nice. Nice and varied breakfast options, and the coffee is excellent. Excellent parking opportunities.

The shampoo dries out your hair, though the conditioner helps with that. The pillows were a litte hard.

I checked in and went up to my room, but I could hear the person in the next room over seemingly not having a very good day on their phone call and decided I would try and move to a different room for some quiet. I was moved immediately without hesitation or questions and was very appreciative of that! My new room was in a quieter spot and over all a much better vibe than the first one. Thank you!

The staff here were excellent. The general manager in particular (I think that's who he was) helped us out quite a bit--we'd booked for the wrong day, and he was so patient in getting us re-booked for a room on the right day, even though we'd missed the 24-hour cancellation period. I did mark that the booking price didn't match what I paid, which is only because we had to upgrade to a king-size bed as a function of our misbooking. The room itself was quite nice. A king suite has a nice mini-couch as well as a desk and an armchair, so it had plenty of room for three of our friends (plus my partner and I) to play a board game before they all left town. Most of the toiletry items actually come in wall-mounted dispensers instead of single-use packets, which I appreciated, and the hotel-provided body wash is quite nice to boot. The bed was a little too firm for my liking, but not in an abnormal or low-quality way--it just wasn't quite my taste. Pillows were nice and plentiful.

The location is my biggest issue. The price was right for this one, but I'm not used to very large metro areas, so getting into this hotel was kind of awkward since it's got a small turn-in on a quite busy road, which was under construction when I was there. The busy road means that you can hear some road traffic during the night, and if there's garbage pickup at a nearby business you'll hear that too. Not much that I can hold against the hotel itself, but a consideration.

I always stay here because of the indoor pool, the nice and friendly staff and the convenient location for my friends in the area.

Well, they did take the benches away from the front of the building. I’m assuming they just didn’t want to have the homeless sleeping there.

The facility was very clean. Quite often, unfortunately, motels are not clean especially if it's a moderately priced motel as this one is. Also, they're often in poor repair. This one was very clean, everything worked, the paint was fresh, carpet was clean, linens were not stained. Also, the beds were comfortable.

One front desk associate was a little unhelpful and sarcastic. Female, morning of checkout.

Breakfast was great! More than expected.

Women's bathroom door by the pool was broke. The entry doors didn't seem to be locked, so anyone could enter the building.

It was not too bad and offered a variety of items

There was no person to greet us at the front desk for about 15 to 20 minutes as there was a note on the desk that they were unavailable that seemed a little unprofessional

Comfortable beds. Unlimited breakfast. Nice staff

The refrigerator in the room didn't work. It's located close to a parking area. One night, a car alarm was running for a few hours.

I liked the overall experience of the hotel...staff was super nice, clean, and safe environment. Breakfast was so good.

There wasn't anything to me that I can complain about.
