Candlewood Suites Bloomington, an IHG Hotel

The room was spacious and clean. The bed was firm.

The heater in the first room we stayed did not work, so we slept in the cold. The next day we informed the reception and he immediately changed the room for us. But in the new room the electronic stove did not work and the bathroom ventilation seemed to draw cigarette smoke from somewhere so the bathroom smelled cigarette.

Travel nurse here- I loved everything. All of the employees are amazing. 10/10 recommend the Candlewood. My original plan was to stay for 13 weeks, but now I am staying an extra 13 weeks because I love this place sooo much!! Shout out to Nathan, he has been so helpful and extremely friendly, really appreciate that, I love when he says “my pleasure” every time I say thank you. Really melts my heart. And great thanks to ole Cyrus (hopefully I’m spelling that right?) very accommodating and can take & make jokes, I like that. AND thank you Katrina for for being so easy to get along with. Also…….. can’t forget Keaton, he’s so warm and welcoming, always a smile on his face. Cute and cuddly like a teddy bear.

Everything is perfect

We have no breakfast, but we are happy with one supprise dinner time they provide for all guest. I like the bed, it was comfy and heater worked good. We stayed for almost 2 weeks. We are glad that our room have small kitchen complete with utensil, etc. It was very usefull. Loundry machine was make me smile too. Sadly that they only clean the room once a week. Anyway, we are happy to stay at Candlewood.

Clean the room, every 2 or 3 days would be better instead once a week during our long stay. You can change Linen and towel by dropping at near the lobby.

The staff was exceptional! Cyrus was extremely helpful getting me settled and he saw me off as well. 5 stars to you, my friend! Truly, the entire staff deserves high praise. Every question asked by me was promptly answered. My room was spacious, clean, and well stocked. I found the bed to be very comfy too (bonus!) This was the first time I have stayed at Candlewood, but it won't be the last, I promise. Thanks again to one and all there, we'll see each other soon.

Loved the size of the room, location , and service

We were helped mostly by Katrina-I think. Whom I believe was new and she was great! There was a tournament in town with many young and energetic kids and she was so flexible and accommodating. My only complaint is there were no toothbrushes for sale, the dishwasher smelled of mildew with dishes still loaded, and there was some mold in the pool area. Otherwise a great stay!

The staff was FANTASTIC! My husband is disabled and on oxygen. I have a wagon to carry his oxygen concentrator along with our luggage. The man at the front desk helped me with it. When we saw that we had the wrong room he said "Wait here, I'll go get new key cards." He got the key cards, took the wagon and the bags I had been carrying and took us to the new room. When I realized the dishwasher wasn't working he came up and tried to fix it. He couldn't but the maintenance man came the next morning and fixed it. Our trip was very laid back, just hanging out somewhere other than home. It was perfect.

For some reason when I upgraded on booking.com it didn't transfer over to their system. They were quick to move us. Unfortunately, the dishwasher wasn't working but they were quick to fix that as well.

Location was great.

We ended up with a double bed instead of a king requested. I should have gone back to the front desk but wasn't sure what I requested til we checked out.

Bed comfortable and both staff members we saw were so nice and extra helpful in getting room close to elevator for easy accessibility. Thank you again!

Although we arrived late in the evening, we were greeted by Colin, who made is feel as if he had been expecting us all day. Since we had a change with our occupancy, he kindly changed our room!

While walking through the room in our socks, we picked up debris that suggested the room had been poorly vacuumed or the vacuum used was losing its suction power.
