Holiday Inn Express & Suites Bloomington, an IHG Hotel

I recently stayed at the Holiday Inn and had a wonderful experience. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making me feel right at home. The room was excellent, with all the amenities I needed to feel comfortable during my stay. Unfortunately, my home lost power due to a tornado that came through late Friday evening and early Saturday morning. Despite the chaos, the Holiday Inn staff remained calm and accommodating, making sure all their guests were taken care of. I'm sure they were very busy during this time with everyone checking in, but they still managed to make my stay enjoyable. I want to thank the Holiday Inn for their kindness and hospitality during a difficult time. I will definitely be back under better circumstances.

It was very busy but that was expected with everyone being displaced from there homes but I still had a very enjoyable experience

excellent breakfast. Attentive attendants who constantly monitored for needs of guests,, refills of items, location of condiments. After the guest dining time I saw employees having breakfast at the facility-it is always a good sign when employee's enoy eating the same food as guests. I am a big believer in not wasting leftovers.

The second floor has a balcony over looking the dining area. From this vantage I could see a lot of dust on top of the fans, , etc that cannot be seen from the dining room eye line. If dust is visible from greater then 10 feet away, then that is a lot of dust.

very convenient location right next to Highway 69. The breakfast was real nice. Also liked the fact that they had a heated pool indoors. Unfortunately I was not able to use it. I was also very appreciative of the very nice room that I was assigned. Very spacious and bright

I thought the carpets were a bit old all over. But that’s a minor issue in my book. I thought it was a bit pricey considering I paid $160 every night including taxes and fees.

We used to stay at Quality Inn whenever we came to town to visit family. At one time it was a great hotel until something changed; I'm not sure what happened but that place turned into a dump. After a couple of bad stays we decided to change things up and book a stay at Holiday Inn Express on a whim. We've stayed there twice now and have yet to be disappointed. The atmosphere is great. The other guests are usually quiet and respectful of the shared space. The king rooms we've had so far are huge with comfy beds and lots of pillows and towels. The showers are clean and free of mold and mildew, and have great shower heads with water pressure that makes it one of the best showers you'll ever take. They offer free cookies at the desk for kids or late night munchies. The breakfast selection is great. The staff are always very friendly and the entire property is very clean. The pool is a comfortable temperature. We felt safe due to the entrances being key-access, and the main entrance locks late at night and can only be opened with the room key. The robot, Archie, is a great touch. Really the only bad part was the microwave almost catching on fire but we notified the front desk attendant and she immediately sent maintenance up to our room to replace it. We're definitely staying here from now on!

Jake was an exceptional Manager. We had some problems with the booking, and he sorted everything out on the spot. He was very courteous and extremely knowledgeable. Dave at the front desk was great, too! It was perfect! My wife really loved it, we'll stay there again the next time we are in Minneapolis!

It was hard to access the computer terminal in the business center. It wouldn't log in for some reason, entry screen wouldn't come up or refresh.

From the outside it looks new but isn’t - but was in good condition and clean. Good location. Easy to get to. Nicely decorated still. Beds were very comfortable. Room was clean. Vanity in bathroom was very large which was good. Pool area was nice and large - pool size was fine - and hot tub was large. So breakfast was amazing best continental in a long time choices varying on the 2 days we were there of between eggs bacon sausage turkey sausage biscuits and gravy and Little omelettes. Then each day pancakes hot cereal cold cereal juice Frear fruit yogurt cottage cheese! Milk even almond milk small bagels hot cinnamon rolls and individual pastries. And the hotel staff was excellent - very friendly and very attentive. Breakfast folks as well. They are following covid protocols and most of the guests as well. Overall good stay.

The only small picky thing is the tv scenario. They don’t have a printed channel guide due to covid and the TV set up is a bit clunky. No online guide to see what’s on it info and hard to get around with the channels.

Over all it was good

The door by room 203 squeaked every time someone came in and out. There was loud music in the hall and lobby late in the night. When we first checked in I paid for a executive suite and the suite we had was above the pool which was noisy and the room smelled. The clerk moved us to a better room which was nicer. The only thing is she was arguing with me about what a executive suite and what wasn’t. She should know to accommodate customers graciously regardless if we were wrong or not. Also booked this hotel because of the jacuzzi but it wasn’t working. Other then that it was fine

The property was nice and very pretty

I don’t like that my room didn’t have a USB port to charge my devices, good thing I had a charging brick The decor and walls need upgraded, didn’t like the yellow/ mustard yellow walls, but loved the decor in the dining area

Courteous staff, clean rooms, and lovely facilities. There wasn't a single thing I disapproved of. Very nice hotel. Had a awesome robot that delivered drinks and goodies to our room. Had a beautiful pool. Breakfast was delicious and was served by a staff member so that made me feel good. Beds were clean and room was overall had the feeling of home.

Not anything to complain about.

Convenient. I like a cool room so the air worked very nicely. Coffee in the room was nice as well.

Carpet was kind of old and lots of spots. Quite a few dings in the room. A few trash items had been missed from previous guests. TV could have been a little better. I think for the price I paid for what I received was high.
