Location was good, rooms were quiet for the most part. We had a top floor room, so it was nice to not have anyone above us. The staff was accommodating and responsive.

The back side of the hotel is away from the road, but faces a huge apartment complex (that is newer) and after the home football game Saturday was thumping with music parties. We were also in the fur friendly area, which we LOVE, unfortunately we were roomed next to a couple with a super yappy dog that was left alone for some time barking often and caused our dog to bark a bit. The morning we checked out, the same woman had her dog by the elevator and allowed it to lunge at our dog and we had to forcefully pull our dog out the door to leave. Not the hotels fault, but maybe hold owners more accountable. Room 432 9/30 - 10/2 was the yappy dog room.

The Hampton Inn is an exceptional and reasonably priced hotel for Bloomington, IN. My room was clean and modern with, most importantly, a very comfortable bed and pillow. Free parking in a well-lit lot is also a plus. The free breakfast was also good quality with a decent variety of things to east and drink. I will be glad to stay there again.

The location of the Hampton Inn is not ideal, unless you have a car. The hotel is not that close to the university or the restaurants and shops around Kirkwood Avenue. It is also close to some busy streets, but the noise was not bad.

Everything was great except for the issues mentioned below.

The door to the room is ridiculously hard to open because it drags on the slightly raised floor they installed for some reason. The bathroom door is also not ideal. It’s a barn style sliding door and it’s easy to pinch your fingers if it rolls too far.

just a little bit more TLC would make this a great hotel. the shower curtain was stained, and they put duct tape on the thermostat to hold the battery door closed. just those little details would make this hotel better.

Clean. The staff were very friendly, and would acknowledge you every time you passed the desk.  The free breakfast had tons of options.

The pool was small, and the road it was built on, has a weird way of turning around to get to it.

Loved the night clerk, my stay would had been much better if there were no pets. Due to allergies, sad I am not allowed to smoke which is my Indian culture practice, due health issues. Then ppl can have pets have health that cause allergies to occur

The staff was very friendly.

The breakfast was the worst that I have had at a Hampton. The cheese omelette was very dry and the sausage the next day was over cooked and hard as a hockey puck.

The breakfast was great with a lot of choices. The room was clean with a comfortable bed and pillows, lots of tv choices and a clean bathroom with nice water pressure and a hot shower. There was a refrigerator and a roomy desk to round out the room. It ticked all the boxes for us to have a comfortable stay. The hotel was quiet, we never heard other guests.

Staff were wearing masks. Check in was simple and fast. Internet wifi worked, without any nonsense of having to provide all my personal contact information to be able to access the internet like some hotels make you do. Breakfast was good quality and served in a clean area by a staff person wearing a mask.

The only minor issue was one of the bath towels in my room had some very small red stains, that would have been easy to miss when staff are looking at the conditions of the towels.

Nice that parking wasn’t extra. Easy in and out and comfortable

Very pricey for parents weekend. Not worth the value for that. Breakfast was mediocre.
