The home is beautiful, breakfast was the best I ever (if you stay here you have to try the French toast!) had and the room was clean and comfortable. I liked that the house is located away from downtown but super close to the highway.
The only downside was that a wedding was held at the house one of the days we stayed and we had a long day and planned to have an early night but the music and noise from the wedding kept us up much longer than we wanted. I wish they would have notified us in some way as we were also guests.

The breakfast was so delicious! The servings were large and the choices were excellent. The staff was friendly and very accommodating. We had a friendly greeting from Kathy when we arrived. We had a small problem that night and I called Kathy to let her know. She called back in the morning and apologized. The tour guide had left not knowing we were wanting to do the tour and Kathy called her to come back for us. She also booked a reservation for us at a restaurant for Saturday night. She more than made up for our problem.
My only suggestion would be a little more attention to the bathroom in the Williams room and the porch.

Super charming. We stayed in the Pierre room, which did not have windows or a super lot of charm. It’s in the attic. But it was affordable and it felt so fun to stay in the house, we were still excited. Plus, you can’t beat the location if you are traveling with kids. You can walk to city park! Other rooms are much, much better, but we were interested in an economical stay so the Pierre room was a great option.
Coffee room was lacking.

The lovely ladies at Degas House cooked a beautiful breakfast each morning. Waffles, french toast, bacon, sausage, grits fresh fruit coffee and Mimosas! The price was very comparable with local hotels and came with deluxe breakfast. I love historical homes and this one was lovely. I regret that we were not able to take the house tour but will make it happen next time. Free street parking and Uber knew where to find us!
The wifi connection was not very strong and was not able to work on my computer.

The staff was absolutely amazing, I couldn’t have asked for any better. We felt at home and when our train was canceled they helped book us for another 2 nights with no problem. I can’t say enough about the women that take care of the houses and any time we visit it will be in this house!! Thank you ladies so very much for showing the southern hospitality that was instilled in me by women just like y’all ❤️❤️
Absolutely EVERYTHING

Location, it’s beautiful, the history of it
I was a little scared coming in at 9:30pm by myself. Not sure how many people were staying there and I’m pretty sure the owner doesn’t live there.

I love that the tour was available to anyone staying in the house it has a rich history and the tour guides are very knowledgeable with generational information. The breakfast is amazing and it feels like you’re staying in someone’s home.
Appreciating that I was there for the history primarily nothing that I could judiciously criticize.
