After some negotiations and help from one of the managers we got a great room, peaceful and quite with good space

At first we were given a room close to an elevator and air conditioning unit, and thus very noisy. We tried to change but the receptionist showed little understanding.

We stayed in a 2-bed superior queen (room 315) from 12-16 May. We had asked for a quiet room, given the location is just around the corner from the notoriously noisy Bourbon Street. Our room faced the courtyard on the 3rd floor and was very quiet, so we were NOT disturbed by music or drum-banging - just the odd noisy guest shouting in the courtyard from time to time ! The shower was spacious and the sink was located outside the shower room which was good. The closet/drawer space was very good. Breakfast (paid separately) was either buffet at the weekend or à la carte. I always ate à la carte and it was delicious. The housekeeping came every day and did a good job. We didn’t have a car for the duration of our stay and we did not need one as everywhere is easily walking distance around the French quarter/quay side, or the trams can be used to go further afield.

Nothing to mention, everything was really good 😊

The hotel was a perfect location in the French Quarter. Walking distance to everything. Our room (226) was very quiet and tucked away to where we didn't hear any street noise like our friends heard at the front of the building. The beds and bedding were very comfortable and there was plenty of room in our deluxe king room. We loved the 21st Amendment Bar that was around back of the hotel and the live music that it had. Must eat at restaurants: GW Fins (two minute walk from hotel, superb service, ambiance, and seafood menu). Creole Cookery (8 minute walk from cookery, gorgeous courtyard seating, and fried oysters are a must). Briquette (Amazing seafood in the warehouse district, about 15 minute walk from hotel) Great Brunch Spots: Brussard's and Court of Two Sisters and of course, Ruby Slipper. Make reservations month ahead of time to ensure your times. We had a group of 8, so it was essential to plan ahead. Ryan's Irish Pub- great on tap beer.

Room could have been cleaned a little better, especially in the restroom....drips of things on the walls. Maid service skipped our room for the two days that we were there, so would have been nice to have the service without asking for towels, more coffee. A little pricey too.

breakfast served in elegant dining room. Acceptable American standard. Despite the hotel’s proximity to Bourbon St, it was wonderfully quiet. I adored the courtyards and the elegance

It was incredibly hot so I’d have loved a spa pool or pool. But for the money there was nothing the hotel lacked. Room service would have been great.

The rooms were excellent. The staff would not help me in any way with parking for my Class B conversion Van. We left the room at 9 am and the room was never cleaned and when I called the desk, they simply told me the cleaning staff was gone for the day and they would see to the next day (the day we left).

The unhelpful staff. There was no food service. The bar was closed.

This French Quarter Hotel has a beautiful interior courtyard, an attached comfortable club-like wine bar and an adjacent cocktail & beer bar featuring traditional jazz bands regularly. It offers an excellent breakfast three days a week and a sumptuous breakfast buffet on weekends. The staff seems to be uniformly welcoming, charming and at their customers’ service.

My one minor plaint was that the bathroom shower floor can be slippery, and yet the one safety bar is by the shower entrance, several feet removed from where one stands under the spray. It could use a bar closer at hand. It’s also one of those new-design showers that has an opening rather than a sliding door, so some spray ricochets out onto the bathroom floor or the mat.

The location of this hotel is fantastic and my room was very spacious. This is a great hotel for visiting all the sites around the French Quarter.

I upgraded to a courtyard room. However upon checking in to our room. the courtyard has a huge & ugly looking tarp covering it. I understand the tarp is to over the courtyard so that you can still sit in the courtyard when it rains however the sides of the tarp hang down like a tent so it totally blocks the rooms very of the courtyard. Additionally, the wine seemed to never follow its hours & so every night when we returned back to the hotel we wanted to visit the wine bar for a night cap but it was always closed before their closing hours.

It was a good hotel in a very good location in the French Quarter. The receptionists were very pleasant and dealt with us efficiently

We extended our stay by two nights and on the second night our room was not serviced, that is the bed wasn't made, no fresh towels, no toiletries, no coffee, nothing they did not enter the room. They eventually made things good but it took two or three attempts. It was a shame because this left a bitter taste in what would other otherwise have been a good 3 nights stay.

The bed was very comfortable. Close to bourbon and walking distance to pretty much everything. The amenities in the room were great. The water pressure and temperature were amazing. The staff were awesome. No complaints Everything was wonderful to me. I will say I had many places booked, and last-minute I chose this one. I was nervous about some of the reviews since they weren't the most positive. But I feel that just from what I experienced with the staff that if there was an actual problem, they would handle it.

Excellent location and wonderful courtyard.

Our room....219 was a superior king suite and had a beautiful decor. Unfortunately this room has a history of water intrusion when it rains. The wall paper under the window on Bienville St was puckered and filled with water in the "blisters" when it rained the night we stayed there. Given the state of the wallpaper it's not a new issue. The water drained down the wall and into the black marble tile floor all the way over to the bed, making footing dangerous. Another minor irritant was the presence of some type of electrical equipment nearby that came to life and Buzzed/hummed at random intervals the entire stay. Possibly the result of air conditioning or elevator equipment.
