I asked for a high floor, and we got one overlooking the pool.

The window was so high up that I could not see the pool, just the skyscrapers in the distance. (I am of average height.) The person who made up our room (which we asked for the second night we were there) did not do a very good job. Our used coffee cups were left on the dresser, our toilet paper was not replenished, and our hand towels were not replaced. I think the hotel could do a better job training their room cleaners.

This hotel is located right on Bourbon Street but our room was quiet enough for us to sleep. The room was nicely decorated and the bathroom was big and very clean. The Queen size bed was very comfortable and I I liked that the pillows weren't down. Overall, very happy with our room. The rest of the hotel is beautiful and also very clean. The hotel has a Jazz club, a high end restaurant, another restaurant /oyster bar and a bar that opened up right onto Bourbon Street. If you wanted to, you'd never have to leave the hotel and still have a great time. The location of the hotel is fantastic. Easy walk to any part of the French Quarter and it is just a couple of blocks from the Canal Street trolley to the Garden District. The pool area was under renovation but looks like it will be just gorgeous after it is finished. The hotel staff was great at both our very late check-in and also our very early check out. They called a taxi for us and had one within minutes to take us to the airport. We are planning on going back to New Orleans and will definitely book the Sonesta again.

The only thing I didn't like was that the restaurant in the hotel Restaurant R'evolution used latex gloves so I couldn't eat there. I wish they would switch to vinyl to protect the safety of their diners and their staff.

The room was comfortable

The pool needs kid friendly / easily accessible railings. And if you added a hot tub to the facilities it would be top notch!

The location was key for us and the main reason we chose it. The valet attendants and bellhops were excellent. They always had a smile and were quick to give any pointers about the hotel or area in general.

Our room did not face Bourbon like we were told when we called Booking customer service who then called the hotel to confirm for us. Our room actually faced Conti street with our balcony connecting to Bourbon through the shared balcony. The phone in our room didn't work so we had to call the front desk from a cell. The charging station on one side of the room also didn't work. After telling the front desk about it they replaced the phone with another phone that worked but had no face on it so you couldn't tell what button was what. Then on the 3rd night our AC stopped working and the engineer had to come fix it at 2am after we had gone to bed already.

Fantastic location right on Bourbon street. We were concerned about the potential for noise, but nothing interrupted our sleep in the room we were in -- no street noise made its way in. The staff was friendly, responsive and attentive. We gave feedback about one minor thing (towels, which was an issue with their vendor, not the hotel), which was well and professionally received. Housekeeping was fantastic and very flexible, adjusting to our schedule well and always servicing the room completely. Bellhops were helpful and friendly. They had great on-site restaurants with different price points, as well as a jazz club on the ground floor. Taxis also are super easy to pick up from the hotel -- they are always waiting outside, but make sure you always check current Uber/Lyft rates as well, since they price themselves very competitively. It's within walking distance to other transportation options, major attractions and the pick-up point for many tours on the waterfront (a few blocks walk). We had a great stay overall and would highly recommend this hotel!

Would not really change a thing. We gave feedback that the towels seemed to not have been rinsed well enough at times (had a chlorine or bleach residue a few times), but that was an issue with the vendor (they are not washed on-site), and they apologized and said that they would bring the issue to the vendor.

The hotel was overall great, but there were a couple things that could have been better. The hotel's restaurant on the corner had great food. Best gumbo of 6 other places we tried.

The bed wasn't that comfortable. The pillows sucked, and there wasn't a comforter on the bed. The blanket on the bed was undersized for a king size bed. I didn't get a good night's sleep for our whole trip. The staff was all very hospitable, except for the night time security guards. They were very rude and didn't seem to treat anyone like they wanted them there. They were trying to intimidate us at times. I will be writing an email to the hotel about that.

This hotel is really beautiful, and the staff is extremely helpful and kind.. Located right on Bourbon St you're surrounded by bars and restaurants and everything is in walking distance..the pool is honestly a must and we were there everyday bc of how hot it was, there are plenty of chairs, towels, and a bar for drinks.. Stayed for a friend wedding and was really happy with the experience. Desire Oyster bar is in the hotel and we went there for lunch after the pool, food was good, amazing Bloody Marys.. The room was clean and had everything you would expect.. Saw alot of comments about the rooms being outdated and the AC not functioning I had no issues my room was ice cold

I could be wrong but not sure if there was room service I couldn't find any info about it and there was an "in room dining" button on the phone but I never asked.. Otherwise no complaints.. be aware though that Bourbon St is a main tourist attraction and it's crowded and loud.. If that's not your vibe, make sure you have a room facing the courtyard, which we had and it was very quiet.

Pool was awesome! Very impressed by the hotel, very fancy inside, everyone was super nice. I felt safe despite being right on Bourbon (apparently there was a fight outside one of the nights we were there), and I wasn't worried at all about anything going wrong. It was very quiet inside, no noise from the street or anything. Awesome location. It's about two or three blocks from the edge of the Quarter, near the Art / Warehouse District, which made for quick walks that direction and easy access to the trolley. Get the trolley pass! It's called "Le Pass" and it's like $3 for 24 hours or $8 for 3 days, definitely worth it! No Uber required. :) Nearby all the cool things in the Quarter, and the city is pretty much rocking and rolling as soon as you wake up so there's always something to do. Definitely going to stay here again next time I'm in town. I have a friend who visited while we were there and she said she's probably going to start staying there too (she usually stays elsewhere). It was cool to be the friend with the swanky hotel. ;)

I was a little annoyed that online early check-in was only $36, but at the hotel they charged me $70. Not the end of the world, but now I know next time to pre-arrange that. Late checkout is also expensive (it's $75 for an extra hour), but the hotel was willing to hold our bags while we enjoyed our last day so I did appreciate that.

Room was very comfortable. A bit noisy at night, but that's Mardi Gras and Bourbon Street. Very clean, excellent security (but a bit expensive). Great access to all the activities and parades. Staff always available to help.

Desiree Restaurant / Oyster Bar seemed very selective on who they seated ... hostess was biased. Repeatedly sought seating (6 to 8 tables empty) but not seating anyone two hours prior to closing time. She did seat two non-white diners but none of us waiting outside. Reservations were not the determinant.

My room was on Boneville Street so it was perfect. The room was quiet.

The front desk staff was not so friendly or willing to help. They disappeared a lot. There was no bell-hop to be found. Customer Services is seriously lacking. The staff needs to be retrained. There was an older woman at the desk telling the guy that was suppose to be assisting to not make her look bad but she was doing a pretty good job all by herself. She was distracting him and therefore he was not able to serve the customers in line. The conversation she was having with him should have taken place at a more appropriate time.
