JW Marriott New Orleans

This property was extremely clean. Location is absolutely perfect. Not too close to Bourbon Street where noise can be a bother. Close enough to Bourbon, the Mississippi, Casino, and all of the main things to do in the downtown/French Quarter (short walking distance). Hotel restaurant is very nice and has great food. Cabs are constantly sitting just down the block south. Hotel will securely hold your bags and items before check in and after checkout! Staff was extremely friendly and helpful.

The only discrepancy with this property is the shower. I do not know if they designed it to be fancy, but the knobs are very complicated to figure out. The water pressure wasn’t the greatest in the shower, but it’s not terrible. Overall this was not a problem at all. This Hotel has gotten EVERYTHING else right that this little discrepancy did not take away from my trip what so ever.

Everything about this hotel was exceptional, including the hotel staff. The concierge gentlemen (Ennis and Tony) were absolutely great. They spent as much time as we needed to answer our questions, and give us directions, suggestions, and guidance. They were both patient, professional, and very kind. Also, the people who manned the doors at the rear of the hotel were also very professional, helpful, and friendly. I've traveled a lot, both as an active duty airman as well as a civilian and I've stayed at a lot of hotels. However, I can honestly say that my stay at the JW Marriott in New Orleans was the best hotel experience of them all. Thanks for helping me enjoy my time in New Orleans.

There was NOTHING that I didn't like about this hotel.

Location was superb. I could see out the window all the Mardi Gras Parades at the intersection of St. Charles and Canal. Room was spacious and perfect for a short-duration stay. I stayed for four nights.

There is no room service, but there is Fogo de Chao on the first level, which has excellent options for breakfast and dinner. The Lobby bar opens at 3 PM and has several options for quick bites. There are restaurants within walking distance, so at the end, I did not miss the room service.

Loved view from 30th floor. Room was decorated tastefully. Bathroom was very nice with great shower that worked well. Loved the friendliness of ALL the staff. They were totally helpful, pleasant, and knowledgeable.

We had queen beds and my husband’s bed was not firm enough and he felt like a deep “ trench” had been made previously in the mattress that he could not escape from. My bed felt fine. We could hear next door tv playing which was annoying the second night of our stay.

The room was spacious, comfortable and well appointed. The location was good - very much in the heart of things. Service was friendly and helpful.

In order to use wifi free of charge, you're forced to sign up for Marriott's BonVoy program. This seems a bit ridiculous at a time when just about every budget hotel offers free wifi without strings attached. For high speed internet, you need to pay around $16/day. There were also some repairs being done to the ice/vending room on our floor, so we were woken by power tools around 7:30 am. Would have been nice if they had waited until later in the day to start work. Laundry service is very expensive, but probably pretty standard for such a fancy hotel.

I loved the friendliness of the staff. I loved the cleanliness of the hotel and I loved the location.

We had reservations at fogo de Chao and that was the worst experience every. It took 1 hour to get a alcoholic beverage we ordered. We hardly ever got a water refill. It took 20 minutes just to het greeted once we sat down. I've been to at least 4 different Brazilian steak houses. This was by far the worst 1

We were on the 30th floor at the top. The room was beautiful we could look at a lot of things from our view. The beds were so comfortable and we both sleep so well.

The noise from the other person's room talking loud and bumping and throwing stuff against the wall. As the main entrance is on the other side we called a Lyft and waited on the wrong side. So we kept missing our rides.

Though the purpose of my travel was for work, it felt like I was on vacation. The goose feather pillows were divine. Bar staff, Mr. Jamie and Ms. Debra, were very accommodating and knew our drink orders. The reception staff were knowledgeable and were able to help us fix our invoice issue.

The only thing I would say here is that room service did not replenish my water bottles or coffee stirs, but I was able to get water from the front desk, so not a big deal.

Staff was above amazing! Also felt safe the whole time.

I ended up staying here because I booked the wrong hotel. Found out there’s 3 “Marriott’s” on Canal St. not sure how you could warn ppl before booking but it would have been nice to be at the same hotel as the rest of my party.

I loved the men at the front door they were very nice and informational. I love how they held the doors open for us they was on point! Also the muhammad at the bar was respectful I enjoyed his company!

The only thing I was unhappy with they housekeeping mistakenly and unknowingly balled up my white shirt with the white bedding. It was laid on my bed before I left my room.
