The location is the best part of this hotel. Just far enough from "the action" to not be too noisy, but so SO close. We rented a room with a balcony. While not technically a private balcony, it is so helpful when sharing a room with others and wanting a bit of privacy when you wake up early or are up a little later than your friends. The rooms are clean, the beds are comfortable. The staff seems nice. And it feels safe. (this most recent was a girl's trip)

It's hard to say there was anything I didn't like.. but I thinks that's all about expectations. The hotel is a little run down, sure.. but it's in the french quarter - regularly hit by hurricanes and frequented by heavy partiers -, and nicer than almost anywhere else I've stayed at this price point. Sure- the bathtubs could use a refresher, and the couches in the lobby could probably stand to be replaced (or restuffed). But the style and comfort and cleanliness make up for all of that.

Location (one block off Bourbon Street) was excellent. Staff was generally pleasant, and welcoming. Accommodations were adequate (nice beds) but not exceptional. It was surprisingly quiet, given that we were there over Mardi Gras. Even the guests, for the most part, refrained from being too "exuberant" on the premises. There is a rather nice courtyard pool to enjoy when the weather is suitable.

The hotel is older, of course, and could use a bit of freshening up. Hallway carpets were badly faded. Our bathroom door was rusting out a bit around the lower outer rim. Biggest issue we noted was lack of storage space for clothing. The closet is shallow with one short rod mounted back to front... not side to side, as is usual for closets wide deep enough to handle clothes hanging in the usual orientation. There were only two deep drawers in the console for other clothing. The bedside table was a table... no drawers at all. If we had not been staying a week, the storage issues would have barely been notable, but...

The pool was too cold for this time of year, which was too bad, but can't control the weather! Mostly everything was great! Things felt a little threadbare. Someone dumped their food in the elevator and forgot to tell anyone. The coffee should have a back-up already made for when it runs out. I think I was down at 8AM and there wasn't even a drop, but then I had to wait 15 min. That's a long time to wait for coffee in the morning....so I had to go out into the Quarter to hunt some down.

Warm swimming pool winter & spring. :-) They say it's heated, but 68 0r 70 degrees is not warm enough to even think about getting into....and I'm a swimmer!

I would have given the hotel a 10 out of 10 if it wasn't for that random security guy that pounded on our room door at 1230 am stating we were making to much noise in our room and we had been sleep since 10pm. I mentioned it to the front desk and was told.. There was no noise complaint. I'm still baffled about that. Scared the crap out of all of us and not to mention ruined my sleep. However. I would stay there again. If it happens again. I'm gonna call them police on security! 😜

The location was perfect for us, since I did not want to be in the heart of the "action" but did want to be in a safe area. We had a suite with exposed brick and wonderful beamed ceilings. Our bathroom was small, but immaculate. I only wish the weather had allowed us to take advantage of the beautiful pool.

I have tried really hard to think of something negative. My only "near complaint" is how slowly the shower water became warm. Given the age of the building, that is no big deal!

The hotel was clean and smelled great! Location was perfect. Just a block away from Bourbon Street, close enough to the action but far enough to avoid most of the noise when going to sleep. The staff was very helpful and super nice. Very prompt about helping in whatever we needed. On the first night there, there was a leak in the bathroom sink which was reported to the front desk and immediately tended to. The pool area was beautiful. Overall amazing , would definitely be staying there again.

If I had any complaints about this hotel, only that it did not have a gym... But then again with all the walking you do around the French quarter no need for a gym. So I guess no complaints.

Great hotel! Perfect location to all the action in the French Quarter. Room was very spacious and very clean. The staff was super friendly and helpful. This was my second stay here and even though it's one block from Burbon St., it was still very quiet.

Our shower water rarely got above lukewarm and our bed was pretty hard and uncomfortable, but after walking so much everyday, it didn't matter! I think it would be helpful to have to use you room key to operate the elevators to keep random people out.

We had an incredible experience at this facility. We contacted them about luggage storage and to our surprise when we arrived our room was ready and waiting. We were so impressed with the kindness of every staff member we encountered. We especially want to make a shout out to Kristine who met us with a smile everytime she saw us. She took time to get a cab through the valet, offered advice on things to see, just an incredibly kind person.

we honestly cannot come up with one thing that was unpleasant during our stay.

we really enjoyed our stay here. However, there is no restaurant and no room service - this matters a lot when you are disabled and don’t feel like venturing into the furnace outside. I ordered Uber Eats once, they were not allowed to deliver to my room and my order was stolen in the few minutes it took me to get downstairs. while I did very much like this hotel I do not feel it is disability friendly and I would not stay here again.

We had a balcony on the fourth floor facing Dauphine Street where we were able to watch three wedding parades and a historic Easter parade. It was awesome. We were far enough away from Bourbon Street (one block) to not be constantly berated by the partying but close enough to enjoy it when we wanted to. Loved the room. Some people have complained about lack of room service, but I found it to be refreshing not to be constantly affected by cleaning people when we might just want to relax in the room. You just need to request and tell them what time to clean. Beautiful pool in a courtyard in the middle. Awesome helpful staff!

That there was no breakfast available in house. I paid ahead for breakfast. We got coupons to order from 2nd Kitchen, Great delivery and the first two days it was great but there are only so many burritos and kolaches a person can eat. I would opt out of pre-paid breakfast until it is on site.
