DoubleTree Boston North Shore Danvers

Location was excellent. Very easy to get in and out of for travel to our destination locations Boston/Salem. Also looked like a castle on a hill which is cool. Very clean and very friendly staff. Breakfast was good. Above average which is expected when you have to pay separately for it but it was worth it in the end. Will book again if I plan to come back to Massachusetts.

Not much to complain about except for the room being on the bottom floor made the Cell reception and the wifi very hard to use. Also considering I was here for a week made it a little more annoying. Also the door to our room would get stuck a lot so opening it required some SWAT like tactics but that seemed to be limited to just our room so not a huge complaint.

Friendly staff, accommodating. Good time for the kids! The waterpark was suitable for all ages, all the kids had so much fun!

Booking.com had it listed as one King and 2 twins. We walked in and it was two toddler beds! We paid extra for the family room! They said there are no twin beds, and Booking.com was the issue. They were kind enough to move our room to another, much smaller room, not at all the family size room we wanted for 2 adults and 3 children! We had to push the two double beds together to accommodate our family.

Warm cookies upon arrival was nice. My son enjoyed playing the bay grand piano in the main "ballroom". Lot of meeting rooms is that is your focus.

Nice stay, but the hotel was just not close to anything and the water park wasn't opened. Room wasn't anything out of the ordinary and comparable to other properties I have stayed at for a LOT less (almost half the price). Parking wasn't close to room no matter which lot we choose, and the lots weren't well lit. Did not eat breakfast as it was additional $16.95 per person, plus it wasn't opened when we needed it. Coffee shop on property but never open.

Big room, great value, beautiful hotel. Comfy bed and nice shower in our king suite. only 20 minute drive to Salem and lots of nearby restaurants and shopping within a few miles.

Restaurant closed at 8 after we were told it closes at 10. hot tub out of order which was very disappointing since i called before booking to make sure they had a working hot tub. When i got there and saw it was closed the desk worker told me it has been closed for months, meaning it was closed when i had called. no doubletree cookies at arrival..these are minor issues though and overall stay was good and would stay here again.

We chose to stay here while visiting the north shore beaches, just a short drive and the kids really enjoyed having the indoor water park and arcade available. having to pay $16 for basic breakfast was silly but optional. Starbucks limited menu available for the day time but they closed at 5pm.

The hours for the water park and the arcade were silly. They are open during the mornings and those both closed at 5pm. In my opinion I feel having them open later maybe 2pm and have them available as an option for after dinner for a few hours would be a much better fit. Nothing much around to do after dinner it would have been perfect. also maybe offer a discount to people staying in the hotel like 25%off if your currently booked. $45/pp for a small water park is not going to last long.

I liked having my friend visit with me and she absolutely loved the Hot Stone and Oil Massage. She also chrished the woman who gave her the massage. Betty's appointment was on a Monday or ... ? Betty is a masseus and physical therapist. She told me her massage was given to her exactly the best way she likes. And also will return for a stay at the hotel with her family. I liked that you have a Starbucks in the Hotel and my dinner - the fresh and delicious Haddock- and drinks were delicious. The microwave came in handy to heat up my food. I loved the Orange Verbena Toiletries. The view from my first reservation room's window was very beautiful and my morning walk along the beautiful outdoors landscape was a good one. I liked everything and every where I went throughout the property. The staff was very friendly, pleasant and helpful and the cleanliness of the hotel and grounds was impeccable. Thanks for the delicious cookiie at check in and the cold refreshing drink in the lobby.I will surely be happy to return to Double Tree Hilton Danvers. It was great for combining my business and personal needs in such a lovely environment. I wish I had more time and energy to get into the Spa Services as I like to excercise at the gym.

Liked the gym and pool. Young guy at gym was very friendly and helpful. Good guy. Put him at front desk

They have a plumbing problem water doesn't go down drain very well. Don't like the dirty hallways during day. All trash towels carts in hallways. Loud maids in hallway. They don't clean rooms every day. Also did not like check in 5 people working at counter but only 2 checking people in. Other people were we trying to avoid people checking in!!! Also during check out giving keys back no acknowledgement at all. Was bit rude no thank you see you again. Just on computer never looked up.. Felt like please don't bother me so I didn't

I liked the pool and the hot tub sauna Was comfy good value.

It's a big hotel. They had no pamflet map in room or info of hotel for pool gym facilities or restaurants lounge or the coffee bar in lobby. I searched room nothing. I would spent more money in hotel most likely. But more then that would been informative.. PUT THEM IN ROOM. The walls bit thin could hear neighbors next door and upstairs. No maid service unless you ask. Did not know this left money for maid. But nothing. Just needs better communication. Was great though nice room clean good size nice view from window

It was clean. The staff at the bar/lounge in the evening after our daughter’s wedding ~ which took place that day at Groveland Fairways, Groveland, MA ~ was very accommodating, professional, & polite. Some of Our daughter’s and her husband’s guests, wanted to sing and do karaoke which the Double Tree, Danvers, does not have, but the Manager escorted them to a separate area to accommodate them. I especially liked that the Manager respected the other guests at the hotel by giving them their space so the other guests did not have to listen to our group’s singing etc. We also were able to listen to to them sing, and then go back to the bar/lounge area which was very relaxing and quiet so we could chat with our other guests as well. Your Front Desk staff also very professional, respectful, accommodating and pleasant ! We passed by your Room Cleaning Staff in the hall on our way to check-out, and again, lovely and pleasant to us. Please let your staff know how much we appreciated their wonderful work ethic and professionalism to us and all of our guests. Your staff were the frosting on the cake of our daughter’s wonderful Wedding Day~thank you so much !

My husband and I stayed at the same hotel 32 years ago for our Wedding Night. It is more a matter of the hotel being older, as are we, 😊 and hotels are different now ~ not as new. This is not criticism, just an observation. The staff at that time was also very accommodating, professional, & polite. No public transportation available if someone needs that; not an issue for us, as we had a chartered bus from our daughter’s Groveland Fairways Wedding Venue to the hotel.

The pool, hot tub, and spa were amazing! The hotel had a lot to do and located close to area attractions. Parking was a bonus too. It was pretty quiet for the amount of guest the hotel had also.

The Breakfast should of been included or a little less considering the cost to stay. The waitress told us what we should tip which was strange considering she only brought us drinks. We should of been offered coupons for the water park there and the breakfast. Everything cost so much now it would of been nice.
