Everything at this location is top notch! Convenient location, affordable parking, beautiful room and facilities - did I mention the breakfast was awesome? My daughters appreciated the variety of foods and the fact that they could sleep til 9 am. They also enjoyed the coffee available in the main lobby AND the room. The Front Desk staff - ALL of them - were kind and happy to help in any way possible! Housekeeping was friendly and kept our room in the best condition!

Need more Gluten and Dairy Free options for breakfast. My daughters each have food allergies. They appreciated that there was a lot to choose from, but it would be nice to have milk alternatives for cereals and a gluten free option of breads or toaster waffles.

My family and I stayed at this location since it was so central to walk to the downtown Salem area. Highly recommend to anyone traveling to the Salem area! The hotel is so beautiful, cozy and the staff was so nice and helpful. They had a great breakfast and had many shops and attractions within a short walking distance away from them. The fitness center and pool are also very nice.

I believe someone on my floor was "illegally" smoking in the room and on the second night of our stay the fire alarm went off at 1:30 am and was a "false alarm", but then it went off again at 2:30 am and the fire department came and we all had to evacuate. Nothing against the hotel, but it was just a very frustrating time.

The safety precautions taken by the hotel were greatly appreciated. The elevator is not operable without a room key card!! And the dining area for breakfast was fabulous along with the great variety of food selections!!! Staff was so hospitable. Early check-in? No problem. The front desk holds your luggage until your room is ready!!! And the valet parking was so appreciated after a long drive!!! You can park your car - and walk throughout Salem at your leisure!!

When using the shower, the shower door would not remain closed - it kept sliding open!!!

Really nice hotel with great location. It was my first time in Salem and I was able to just walk around everywhere because the hotel is literally like a street away from all the touristy, fun stuff. There’s a Starbucks right in front which was super convenient, and a Walgreens! Breakfast was included and it was good! There’s plenty of seating space in the breakfast area too. Room was pretty standard, clean and comfortable. I also really liked that you have to use your room key for the elevator because it adds a little extra layer of safety!

The hotel was in a perfect location! We parked the car in the underground parking lot and walked everywhere in Salem. Our walking tours, restaurants and shopping were all just a very short walk away!! The staff was really friendly and helpful. The rooms were adjoining and it is just what we were hoping for. The rooms were nicely decorated, clean and had nice bathrooms.

The second night was a little noisy outside of the hotel, but it was the 4th of July weekend and it didn't really bother us. Although the parking was convenient, it did cost $22/day.

The breakfast was exceptional. I've stayed in plenty of places that offer breakfast with your stay, and the Hampton Inn Salem's is a stand out. Their breakfast dining area is very well designed with plenty of booths to allow for a more private space to couples, like us, who don't necessarily want to sit with a crowd of people. The breakfast menu was quite typical (hot and cold options), but the presentation, organization, and variety of offerings made for an exceptional breakfast experience. Even their breakfast pastry (usually my last resort) seemed freshly made, and their coffee delicious!

We had no issues at all with getting the front desk. When I asked for a different room they were more than obliging. They had a ton of information at the desk on what to do in town, and they all were polite and courteous from parking with valet to the front desk to the staff setting up breakfast. I love Hilton and will never stay at another chain.

The first room we got smelled like feet, but I think that had more to do with the previous guest than the hotel. They moved us somewhere else no problem.

Every employee I came across was happy to see me. Felt very welcome and taken care. When two friends arrived at different times, the front desk did not mind letting my friend stay and wait in the lobby despite it being very late in the night, and they called my room to let me know that the second had arrived and was waiting. Got a free soda from the frontdesk as well, haha. Definitely will stay here again!

I'm not sure if it was an error on Booking or Hampton Inn's end, but I was charged by the hotel for the room despite already paying through Booking. The cleaning fee hold was removed, but the room charge stayed. Once I was able to get a hold of management, the refund request was put through immediately and I was refunded about 5 days later. If you pay through Booking, make sure to let the frontdesk know during check-in! Maybe they thought I only reserved a room and didn't pay, not sure. Whatever the case, problem was solved with no hassle.

The staff was wonderful. Very friendly and helpful. One thing I noticed was that we didn't hear noise from other rooms ( such as walking above, flushing toilets). Definitely stay here again. Walk to everything. Parking was great as the garage has access right to the hotel lobby.

The place was wonderful, if I have to say anything it's that guests have to pay to park. Parking should be included if staying at the hotel.

Great location, clean, nice breakfast.

Parking was only until check-out. We expected 22 dollar for 24 hours but it is actually only until 11:00 the next day. No facilities around the pool. No dressing room or showers. No bathrobes or anything, so we had to put clothes over our wet bathing suits when going back to the room. You have to walk through the lobby. I dislike the use of disposable items for breakfast. Cups, plates, cutlery, everything was plastic or plastic lined cardboard. For us as Europeans (where most single-use plastics are banned by now) it seems like such a waste.
