Great style, very helpful staff, and super clean. The location can not be beat: it's located right on the main drag, and is conveniently located to everything you'll want to see or do. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat.

The bathroom set up is a little wild: the shower and sink are in one room, and the toilet was by itself in another room. Having to walk around to wash your hands is kinda funky. Also, no parking on the premises (understandable considering the location) or parking validation for one of the parking garage is a bummer. To park at the closest garage is about $30/night, so factor that into your stay. Neither is a deal breaker, just something people should be aware of.

Excellent location; staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The hotel was adorable and unique - the shower was beautiful, the bed was very comfortable, the ceilings were extremely high - the room and hotel was absolutely lovely. The pictures on their website do not do the hotel justice.

The roof-top restaurant has a fantastic view and is the only roof-top restaurant in Salem however, it was very pricey and because of the cost, it really wasn't worth stopping in.

This boutique hotel is in the perfect location. We walked to everything. The room was immaculate and we had a street view which was wonderful. Bed was comfortable. Shower was divine. They have a snack counter that offers drinks and food and they do have a roof top bar. We didn't get to experience the roof top as it rained during our stay. Things to know...Parking is OFF SITE, but so close if you choose to park at the mall. The hotel does NOT validate for parking. We paid a little over $50 and stayed two nights so it wasn't that bad. No coffee maker in the room, but they offer complimentary coffee/tea every morning at 7am. I'd stay here again for sure!

I wish it didn't rain ,,, so we could experience the roof top bar area. :)

Located right on the pedestrian street - super convenient to everything anybody would need on a visit to Salem! Most of the Salem hot spots and tour starting points are about a 5 min walk (at maximum) from here. If it's a nice day, the short walk to the wharf is great as well. Super friendly staff, excellent accommodations, comfy bed, good shower pressure (we were on the 2nd floor), super clean, great recommendations - everything was on point!!

Rooftop bar was a bit windy, but it's an oceanside city so that's not their fault LOL. Other than that there was nothing we didn't like about this place.

The hotel, itself, is in an awesome location. It's right next to the Peabody and all of the fun shops. Parking is not on the property, but there was a museum parking garage very close that I parked in. That parking garage that I parked in was not free . After parking on a Friday night to Monday morning , I paid about $56 . I just don't want you to be surprised if you're not expecting to pay for parking there .I did see that there were several other parking lots , it shouldn't be a problem for you to find somewhere to park . Everything is in walking distance . I put everything into my GPS and was able to navigate pretty well walking . The room was perfect for one person. I was very cozy. The first night I got in, I was too tired to look for anywhere to eat. The hotel has a restaurant downstairs called Crunch. They don't deliver to your room, but you can order and go pick it up to bring back to your room if you want privacy while eating. There is an area to sit in the restaurant and a large seating area with very cool furniture around the corner. Another thing, water is in a bluedot filtering machine on each floor. There are clean glass brown bottles that you can fill and bring back to the room. I love that they do that instead of plastic bottles! They even have sparkling water! Also, I was a woman traveling alone, and I felt very safe there.

I can't think of anything that was an inconvenience or problem.

The location of this hotel is perfect. Right on the Essex walkway and close to so many things. Although the hotel doesn’t have its own parking, there is a lot that is very close. The staff was absolutely wonderful and responsive. The room was large and decorated well. And the restaurant on the roof has great drinks and food.

The only thing I didn’t like was the water pressure. The sink has very low water pressure. The shower water pressure was a bit better but it made sense to have it be a bit lower for more of a waterfall kind of feel.

it was in the heart of Salem. Easy walking to meet with tours, shop, eat. The hotel was clean and had a unique vibe to it.

We had the micro king as it was just my husband and I. It was micro for sure. it’s not that we didn’t like it, but it was our first night on a long road trip we were taking and we had far too much luggage. if planning to stay in a micro king, it would be good to plan it so that you can stay with one small suitcase and maybe a carry case for needed toiletries, medicines, etc. It was neat though….like staying in quarters on a boat. 😁

Unfortunately my plans were changed by a tragic event that left me alone on this trip. I never been to this state before so I went in blind. All the staff including the manager made my trip memorable and so inviting. They suggested great places to eat and things to do. I highly recommend this hotel. From the lunches on the roof top bar to the service at Hotel Salem. I felt like I was treated like a king. I felt at peace and on some days I just didn’t want to leave. If you get the opportunity to stay , trust me and you won’t be disappointed. I originally booked there because of its retro vibe value, location and I’m so pleased I did. Thank you to all the staff/ my friends for everything and I will see you all again soon. Thank you Dwayne

The location was good, but the staff made it great! the room was so comfy, the shower was massive and honestly, one of the most relaxing showers I’ve taken in a long time. Zach was incredibly kind of accommodating, as was the rest of the staff.

The parking wasn’t as close as I would’ve liked, but to be honest, the location being where it was, it makes total sense, so I would say, just expect a little walk to the hotel.
