It is a comfortable inn with plenty of common space to do a quick call or zoom away from your family. The pool is a nice amenity along with access to the river. It's proximity to town is fantastic. We also very much much enjoyed breakfast. Staff at breakfast and at front desk is super helpful and friendly. The coffee and cookie station is a nice touch too. The inn is a big hit with the kids.

Not all the jets are working on the hot tub. Also, part of our room could not be used due to lack of lighting. The room we stayed in could use a little more light. Don't get me wrong, we would stay here again, but would adjust accordingly.

Our room has a view of Saco river. It was clean. The bathroom was just the right size for three adults. The bed sheets were super clean but the bed was too soft for me. I like my bed firmer. The breakfast was included; it was delicious! Hot water for tea and coffee were available 24/7. They also served fresh - baked cookies in the afternoon. We tried the food in the restaurant which was served in the barn. The barn burger was worth it. These are all the things I like at Merrill.

AC was a bit noisy but not intolerable. We're so used to the wall unit that the window unit sounds noisy compared to it.

We really liked the location of the hotel. And it is absolutely lovely inside the main room with a lot of information from history of the farm and old things hanging around. Really nice! The front desk service was very nice and helpful as well as the restaurant staff. Our sons really enjoyed cookie time and the access to fresh coffee was very nice. Rooms were ok, totally served our stay as we only came to sleep in. So no complaints there. The Farm is big and we had no time to really explore but we liked the little cottages by the water. Maybe we will be back in different season to enjoy that lovely view.

Unfortunately, we thought that the Farm restaurant was way too overpriced for what you get. The service was very nice though. We decided to eat out the second night which was also tricky because it is so busy there, that most places had 45min waiting times at 5:30-6pm. So my advice is to go in and put your name down as most of the places do not take reservations over the phone either. The mexican restaurant Fiesta Jalisco in town is fabulous. Another little problem we had was with the sauna which did not really heat up so we came back.

The breakfast was disappointing. The eggs were tasteless and a strange texture, there was no decaffeinated coffee as a choice, no creamer, no spoons, napkins (rough paper towels were offered only. Sugar couldn’t be measured except in my hand. Fruit was old and dry or bruised. Don’t offer if it cannot be done well.

All above. The room was great. Fun mix of furniture and chairs with hassock pull out was great. The bed is perfect comfort, clean and the blanket was perfect. Enough lamps to move around to adjust. Lights with base switch is best. I had one . The old version/child size toilet desperately needs upgrading! Adults deserve full size toilets. Otherwise really great. Thank you for giving me a quiet location. For the breakfast issue, either consistent quality and cleanliness (cups greasy on outside) and detailed choices or remove it from offer.

What a fabulous property this is. We had a lovely room in the converted stable block. On arrival, we were offered coffee and freshly baked biscuits. After settling in, we took a walk around the property. There are so many places to go and relax, with lots of lovely cozy indoor lounge areas. A pool table in one room along with many board games to play with your family. So many places too to enjoy outside with comfortable lounges on the verandah, and a gazebo with seats and a gas fire. Wandering by the cabins, we saw the outdoor games for families such as horseshoe and a playground, and of course the swimming pool. We then found the river! We walked down and sat watching the people float down the Sacco River. The following morning we had a fabulous cooked breakfast from a menu we were not expecting! Beautiful and the service staff were exceptional. We highly recommend this Inn as a stopover or an extended stay with all it has to offer.

Just everything! Best breakfast ever, dining room is beautiful. Coffee, iced tea/lemonade and even cookies on the lobby. Room were spacious, bed sheets and towels were fresh, clean and white! Friendly and helpful staff. Swimming pool is big and clean, but not heated, easy entrance to Saco river. Great location, 10 min to main strip.

Room doesn’t have microwave. They have one in the lobby but I think it need some upgrade, I couldn’t make a popcorn in it

The room was extremely spacious! Not expecting that much room. It was very cozy with a gas stove to create a nice warm room. The bed was really comfortable. The breakfast was amazing. On the weekend, they had a menu with at least 10 items on the menu and the food was delicious!

The floor was a little cold because the room was located over the pass thru that went from one side of the property to the other. Other than that it was such a wonderful weekend. We would highly recommend this property to couples and families alike.

Our cabin was the cutest little thing ever, and the perfect space for us and our 1 & 3 year Olds! It was quiet, clean, comfortable, and the whole family loved it! We will absolutely be back! The breakfast was also the BEST breakfast I've ever gotten in a hotel. The father/daughter restaurant waitstaff was the sweetest and the husband/wife chefs made our breakfast in less than 10 minutes! We have nothing but great things to say!

We enjoyed every aspect of our stay at Merrill Farm Inn

The entire experience was exceptional. The staff is friendly and ready to offer help at any time. Breakfast is outstanding. This property is a cozy old farm with cozy rooms in the old farmhouse, a couple of outbuildings and small cabins. Lots of antique farm implements scattered around as well as old photos. Very down to earth, not a new sparkly place….perfect for relaxing.

I liked everything. This was our second visit in two weeks. We will be back!

Merrill Farm is very quaint. It's an old farm house and rustic. So don't expect all modern, but it was very nice. The cost of the room was great - $118 a night; the staff was very helpful and the whole place has a nice ambience. They also have cottages, which I will rent the next time I stay and which would be fun in the summer as there are grills and the cottages are on the river with river access. All in all it was a pleasant stay.

The bathroom was a bit small in my room; not sure about the other rooms, but all in all, I would stay there again.
