Breakfast was continental, as expected. The dining room was clean and food was good, offered prepared and make your own waffles, fresh fruit, juices, coffee, etc. Our bedroom was very clean, neat, as expected. We were pleased with the spaciousness. The bathroom was very clean and offered hair dryer, shampoo/conditioner, soap, as expected. The pool was nice and relaxing, not many others using it and it was clean. My biggest bonus at this hotel was its staff. These people were willing to accommodate us-before our reservation time- for early check in in order to get dressed (including ironing clothes after a long trip), and ready. Jennifer was amazingly helpful and her counterpart after her shift, Marie helped tremendously in an awkward situation with my aging parents who had to check in later that day. These women and the cleaning staff whom we met on the floor and in the elevators the second day were genuine, kind, concerned and caring people. While I've not had the opportunity to come to Plattsburgh very frequently in my adult years, I might be traveling back soon and will definitely continue to stay at this Hampton Inn!

Parking lot? Just awkward-not a real problem however!

In general: location spot on, no problem with parking, friendly staff, all very clean, breakfast was what you'd expect, not more, not less - overall, very positive experience. Extra facilities I didn't use, therefore can't attest.

The price was MUCH higher than I expected. And if I were to pick on something, the TV navigation could have been less convoluted, but this is minor.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Maria at the front desk started my stay out perfectly. She helped me with suggestions for food and shopping. Joe, I believe his name was, the groundskeeper, all around jack of all trades has the best personality and was always busy. He amazed me. Breakfast each morning was wonderful - hot and with a variety each day.

Room was very clean. Beds were very comfortable. Hotel was perfect location for restaurants and shopping. Staff was very friendly. Pool looked very inviting, even though we didn’t have time to take a swim.

We asked for a handicap walk in shower for my elderly mother. Unfortunately, we were placed in a room with a standard tub. My mother managed to take one shower using the grab bar above the tub. It was a struggle. In the future how can we be guaranteed that we do reserve a handicapped accessible room with walk in shower?

We loved that all the products in the bathroom were in bottles to be reused and not anymore disposables small bottles. The room was nice and clean and the staff friendly

At breakfast, I was hoping for bacon, but there wasn't any ;) but everything else was fine

The front desk girl Maria and Sharon greeted us with a smile when we arrived at about 5:30pm from Montreal. They gave us a clean and comfortable room. The only thing I could say that wasn’t 100% was that the jacuzzi wasn’t working. Other than that everything was excellent. Even the breakfast that was included was great! We would definitely stay again.

Breakfast was very good and a nice selection.

Maybe pay more attention to the waffle maker, we tried to make waffles but it got stuck to the grille and was hard to get out and the area was a little messy with waffles bits

location was great- College nearby and restaurants in walking distance

the air conditioning in the room was not working properly so it was uncomfortable but we survived. The fan in the bathroom was not operating either. overall it was clean and staff was great. will be back and will ask ahead about the a/c and bathroom vent!

Sad there wasn't more easily accessible information from hotel/staff about Northern Lights or that location was more "Aurora friendly", for example, no Northern Lights notification from staff, no information about best places to see the northern lights around hotel or near the hotel location. No dimming outdoor hotel lights etc.

Clean and comfortable rooms, breakfast included was good, nothing fancy but pleasant all around. All staff were kind and helpful.
